Delicious Food, Great Place To Go Before Events At United Center.
Great ambiance, even better service! Food was excellent
We sat at the kitchen bar and had an excellent meal: empanadas (a standout due to the meat being extremely deliciously seasoned), curried corn with burrata, a tomato salad, artichoke ravioli (perfect little bites), and split a pork chop entree that we agreed was absolutely the highlight of the meal. Delicious cocktails and a good wine list, plus nice sorbet, really rounded out a great meal. We went to eat a whole menu - so we came hungry - and weren't disappointed! The staff is delightful and the art beautiful, plus the menu includes a little design story for the whole space.
great service, great food as well. would definitely come back here.
Food and fresh ingredients were amazing, including dessert.
Had ana amazing anniversary celebration with complimentary champagne before the meal and amazing service throughout, including a personal introduction of our tasting menu entrées by the executive chef. All the food was incredible, and the wine pairings were a great value at an extra $25. Would highly recommend.
Creative and delicious but much too loud. We really enjoyed our brunch. Eden has a limited but creative menu. Our server, Bill, was great and recommended we return for dinner one evening. I'd like to BUT they really need to do something about the acoustics (or lack of) in the space. Noise and conversations bounce off of every wall, floor, ceiling! We could hear everyone's conversations and I'm sure they could hear ours because you have to yell to project your voice due to the lack of any type of sound batting.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere as well. The staff was extremely attentive and anticipated our needs.
Next time I’m in Chicago I’ll make it a point to stop by again!
We loved our experience at Eden.. The rabbit was really good.. The Panna cotta too!
We came here for our anniversary dinner and loved it! Great food, great drinks, great staff/service. All around really good experience. I liked the atmosphere and decor a lot - felt very comfortable and simple in a nice way. The pork tagliatelle and duck breast dishes were really good, lots of flavor. The corn and beef empanada app was delicious - way better than we thought it would be. Would definitely come here again!
The noise level in this renovated, highly visually appealing space precludes conversation or clear communication with the staff while ordering. There is no peaceful spot inside, and the voice volume required to be heard by your dinner companion(s) means you spend the meal practically shouting.
The food was uneven- mostly great starters (doughnuts as amazing as advertised, despite this diner and companion's skepticism; tomato salad, ceviche) with others of less interest ('curried corn' with mediocre burrata and dissonant spices); homemade pasta (with crab, and with pork) was good comfort food, although the condiments/pasta ratio could have had a lower proportion of pasta, which dominated both dishes in flavour and texture); no dessert was interesting, and the blueberry/yogurt one plainly awful (sour was the only outstanding note). Good wine selection, linen napkins a nice touch.
No restaurant can bypass the impact the service provided by its staff has on the dining experience. Good will was apparent. Despite this, constant interruptions with 'how are you doing, guys' (I am not fond of being addressed in this manner) were paired with no initial offer of menus or, after appetizers were finally insisted upon, follow up as to whether a main dish would be a logical next step (we were starving). Many attempts were made to clear plates we were still eating from, interspersed with 20-minute periods of no service. By around 10 pm, the entire restaurant shut down- as guests started to leave, and not much later than 9:30 pm, chairs were put on emptied tables. Most of the staff departed before we did just after 10 pm (on a Friday).
These comments intend to highlight that the two most bothersome items- staff service and noise- are actionable and desirable. Not addressing them bodes poorly for ongoing success.
My favorite fresh food hot spot.
Shout out to Shane and the heirloom tomato salad!
I am so happy I stumbled upon this gem! We were greeted and welcomed so kindly by Bill, who ended up being our waiter. From beginning to end it was a perfect dining experience and our waiter gave such a great explanation of the menu. Everything our table ate was superb. We can’t wait to try this spot for dinner!
Outstanding. Had a greta Sunday afternoon sitting at the kitchen counter.
Excellent food. A menu to be excited about. Each bite was unique and exciting. There is a lot of detail and art that goes into each dish. Excellent craft cocktails. I will be back.
Excellent, original food. Sat at the kitchen counter and the executive chef spent a great deal of time talking with us about the restaurant and the ingredients, many of which are grown in their own greenhouse and garden.
Loved the food. Would be 5 stars if less noisy. Brandon our waiter was fantastic. We are vegetarian and he steered us in the right direction from cocktail to dessert.
All of our food was fantastic! It was a bit pricey but we will certainly be back.
AAAMMMAAAZIINGGG Place! I fell in love with Eden! The ambiance, food, decor, drinks ... everything was amazing! I am from out of town but visit Chicago often and i plan to dine here every time i visit. This place is simply incredible. I wish we had one in NYC. Thank you for amazing food and experience.
More explanation of food prep would be great. I had the steamed fish n a bag. It had no flavor without the sauce. Also—it took 20 minutes to find out where the Sea bass was from. Disappointed it wasn’t Chilean and tasted more like cod. Could have used small bread to dip into the sauce as well.
Food was on the pricey side, but was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the skirt steak.
We like to try new places as much as possible and rarely revisit restaurants, but Eden is a place we love to come back to over and over. Friendly and observant staff and such well put together creative dishes with the local flavors from their greenhouse garden shining through. A great place!
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I met a friend there to catch up over Sunday brunch. Our server (Bill) knew everything about the menu and gave us really good, informed recommendations. We both ordered the Sea Bass and LOVED it. When they opened the “paper” it was cooked in, the aroma was divine and it tasted even better. We also tried the bruléed grapefruit, which was delicious. I asked to see their garden and the manager (Sean) gave us a tour of that and the greenhouse. This was the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!
We love our food and service was great. The beets with caramel sauce were a good surprise and the shishito peppers amazing. I will definitely come back. Add more outdoor seating :)
Wonderful food, service and place! Special and delicious ingredients, ingredient combinations and food preparations.
Eden was a beautiful place for a quiet Sunday brunch! I had no problem making a reservation, the space was designed exceptionally to match the cuisine and the food was fantastic! If you're tired of the traditional brunch offerings, give Eden a try for new flavors.
Food was very tasty - I especially enjoyed the beat salad which was a last minute add-on to our order. The chicken was a little on the salty side but overall very tasty. Our waiter was very kind, but it took him more than 20 minutes to actually introduce himself and get our orders. He also didn't know what Celiac's disease is, which feels slightly silly considering how high quality we presumed the place to be.
Overall, pretty yummy food but nothing that blew our socks off.
Devon, the chef, was smart, passionate and fun to talk to. Fresh, fresh, fresh and all the flavors.
Comes highly recommended. The menu looked delicious so we decided to try out the chef's vegetarian taster menu with wine pairings and it was completely amazing. The food was an absolute delight and intriguing without being to adventurous. Sitting at the chef's counter was also a special treat, getting to know a bit about the background of the food and wine and chatting with the very nice chef. All in all a 10/10 experience.
Nice place, we enjoyed it very much. Cool ambiance.
Lovely restaurant with an ambient vibe. Attentive staff. Cocktails were outstanding. Appetizers were fun and tasty. Bigger than expected dinner portions. I would recommend getting a bunch of smaller plates and sharing those, rather than getting your own entree, so that you can make the best out of your dining experience.
Eden is one of the best restaurants in Chicago for excellent food, great service and fun cocktails. Recommend sitting at the chef’s counter.
Birthday dinner! Loved the complimentary piece of cake
Great Sunday brunch with friends. Delicious food, shared many sides and sweets. Service was top notch. Will be back.
Husband and I were happy to find this gem! Fabulous food - creative flavor combinations and beautiful, yet not too fussy, presentation. Attentive and friendly staff. Unfortunately, we needed to rush through dinner due to bad traffic and theatre reservations that followed. The waiter was wonderful at getting us out in a timely fashion. Can't wait to go back when we have more time to enjoy all this restaurant has to offer.
Very happy I chose Eden. Food was excellent. Ingredients were super fresh, too!
The most delicious brunch! We have always gone to Eden for dinner and really loved it. We had brunch there for the first time and we are in love. The veggie omelet was simply outstanding. Can’t wait to return!
Such a great place and so close to the United Center! The food was very creative and delicious. Loved the atmosphere!
2nd visit and it was as delicious a meal as our first time at Eden. We love all the deconstructed food and the desserts are so amazing. One wouldn't think that Umeboshi ice cream,or an apricot fennel combo would be so incredible. We really appreciate their dessert chef!!!
Our server (Shane), and especially the support wait staff, Raphael, were amazing. The attention of the manager, Shawn, was unending and added a lovely personal touch to our dining experience. Thank you all.
We have one serious suggestion though, add some acoustic tiles or noise barriers , if only on the ceiling, and some noise barrier type art onto the walls to address the noise levels...we found ourselves shouting to one another and talking above one another due to the cacophony of voices surrounding us. It wasn't pleasant but we dealt with it. Other than this, the ambiance and energy of the place is welcoming.
We'll definitely be back! Kudos to your establishment!
Excellent service and good quality food. Busy for Sunday brunch despite road construction making it a little more difficult to get to. We will definitely return.
