Service and food are always top notch. The atmosphere is the best in Kansas City for fine dining.
We are frequent visitors of this restaurant. From the valet service down to the food runners and server's assistants, Eddie V's maintains a fantastic model of service. While their reputation for seafood is well known, don't hesitate to indulge in a steak; hands down best strip in town! You're welcome:) They also have great cocktails; try the smoked old fashioned if you're a bourbon/whiskey drinker, the Maverick, a refreshing drink of vodka, st-germain and lime, w/ a kick of jalapeno, or the Hope Diamond if you're after a little kinder and sweeter vodka martini, where a purple ice cube made from a rose liqueur takes center stage in the glass. And for desert - I gravitate more towards the panna cotta; a light and ever so sweet butterscotch pudding served with a chewy chocolate cookie and a piece of shortbread. But don't overlook the Banana's Foster - besides it's beautiful presentation, it's probably their most ordered desert - and rightfully so, it's pretty delish! Live music in the bar every night; you'll enjoy from almost any spot in the restaurant - so be sure to show the musicians some love with a tip - they'll appreciate it. Same as the valets.. it's complimentary, but they work so hard with helping you get from the car to dinner and drinks quickly! Enjoy and happy eating and drinking.
It took 20 min to get a waiter to take our drink orders. Considering the food isn't cheap, I would assume service would be important. The food was delicious but wait staff and organization is extremely lacking.
If you want more of a more private conversation I would suggest the half moon booth as you can see everybody in front of you. Your back is against the wall. It is also good for people watching.
Excellent food and service.
Our Waiter Jose was amazing. Made the whole experience.
Our food was delicious, there were a few things I wish I would’ve swapped for second choice but everything was well prepared and delicious...crab soup was a little salt heavy but other that that great!
Tiffany was our server and she was so amazing! Definitely recommend asking to be sat in her section!
We were celebrating a birthday and they definitely know how to make you feel special there
It was a great evening food was amazing service was right on! Would highly recommend!
Food was fantastic- Must get the crab fried rice and Bananas Foster.
We went during Restaurant Week and were very disappointed in both the service we received and the quality of the food served. We have been to this restaurant many times and never had such poor service, both from the time we arrived and were seated more than 45 minutes after our reservation and then throughout the rest of our evening. I would not recommend going to Eddie V's during the restaurant week time frame in the future.
Participated in Restaurant Week and the good, service, ambiance, etc. were all fantastic! Jenna was our waitress and she provided excellent recommendations and took great care of our group!
Excellent Happy Hour with music 7 days a week. Reasonable prices for delicious appetizers and entrees.
We went for restaurant week and were still given top-notch fine dining food and service! Tiffany was our waitress and she is excellent at her craft! Ask for her.
We had a fabulous meal and terrific wait staff! Our waiter, Dillon M was fantastic.
Delicious food, great wait staff, we sampled many food and drink items and they were all terrific. The smoke old fashioned drink was a show stopper
Fantastic restaurant week menu. We will definitely return.
Made reservations for 12 4+ months ago and we were seated in a private room. Amazing atmosphere, service, and food. Thanks for a night our group will be talking about for years to come!
Birthday celebration. Really nice place.
Our server Anna was spectacular.
Food and service were excellent. Thank God for Restaurant Week. I never could afford it otherwise
Food was cooked to perfection, our waiter was attentive and friendly.
Always a great experience! Top notch service and atmosphere.
Good for a special occasion. Upscale and a good selection on the menu.
The food was fabulous! Our waiter made our experience want to remember great job Jose! One of the best waiters we have ever had!!
We showed up at 6:50 for our 7:00 pm reservation and was told they were running behind it would be more like 7:15. We were okay with that and made our way to the bar. We sat there for 25 min before I had to flag them down and ask for a drink, she took my order then never brought my drink. At 7:35ish we were seated. The service was so incredibly slow. The table behind us came after us and had their food quicker. We were there until almost 10 pm. I’m not sure if it was the kitchen or the server as he was very kind and apologetic. We ordered the restaurant week steak and side of potatoes. Our steak was fine sized but we had like a table spoon of mashed potatoes on the plate. Compared to Capital Grille and 801 chop house Restaurant week portions I was quite disappointed. I won’t say never again bc I believe in second chances but I was quite disappointed
My wife and I, and a another couple went during Restaurant Week, which I'm not a fan of going during Restaurant Week. It doesn't give you a true feeling of the usual atmosphere and the service is never the same since they are always rushing food out to tables and the house is always packed. That being said, I hate giving this a review during Restaurant Week, but I have to be truthful. We arrived at our reservation time at 6:45 and we weren't seated til 30 minutes later. In that time, we all had drinks at the bar and listened to the live band, which wasn't too loud. Our drinks were good except for the Pomegranate Mule, it had little taste and alcohol, almost completely ginger beer. We were seated and soon after, ordered off the Restaurant Week menu. We all had the Crab and Corn Chowder which was delicious, however they were going through so much bread that we didn't receive any until shortly before our main course. We ordered the 8 oz. Filet Mignon's and Glazed Salmon. The glazed salmon was delicious cooked perfectly. The Filets were all too rare. They were soaking the mashed potatoes they were sitting on in blood that they were almost inedible. The best part of the whole meal was the Banana Foster at the end. Crispy on the outside, soft on the outside with that rum glaze just sets it off. There were so many people there that it was louder than expected. Overall, for going during restaurant week, it was a good place to go. I would recommend going here, just not on restaurant week.
We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent.
Our friends enjoyed Restaurant week at Eddie V's. Food was exceptional. Our service could have been better. We were told that our waiter would be with us soon and then latter that the person had not shown up. Our friends had ordered a second glass of wine that didn't come. They had also ordered a cup of coffee that didn't come either.
Amazing as usual have had this dinner here for three years in a row always the best!!!!
Great value on restaurant week! We'll be back!!!! The ambience is superior...we felt like we were in New york!
Excellent as usual! Everyone in our party loved it. Restaurant Week menu was fantastic and everyone LOVED the Smoked Old Fashion drinks! Excellent service as usual as well!
Great food with very good, attentive service. Only complaint was the noise level which was high so it was difficult to talk.
Tiffany was an excellent server - attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable,
Please let her know how much we enjoyed her style and knowledge!!
It was restaurant week and they were busy. Had to ask for bread (twice) no big deal. Love valet parking. Salmon and steak were perfect.
Wanted to try Eddie V 's on Restaurant Week ,glad I did ,everything was wonderful !
Fabulous food, excellent service, great ambiance! We will definitely be back.
This visit was my second visit to Eddie V's for restaurant week. I had the chicken this time and it was so savory. What's a visit to Eddie V's without ordering my two favorite things the pomegranate mule ×2 and the crab fried rice. Absolutely love this place.
The service was great but had a lot of problems with our food that wasn't cooked correctly.
Always a wonderful experience at Eddie V’s! Great food and service, even though they were slammed with Restaurant Week.
I was looking forward to our reservation during restaurant week. We got seated at the proper time. We ordered our drink and dinner, my steak arrived luke warm and my husbands tuna was very bland. I had asked for an additional glass of wine to be served at dinner and never received one. Overall it was less than average dinner. More what you would expect at lower end chain place like Outback.
