As always, the service was stellar. I tried the France offering of Steaks around the world and it was probably one of the best dishes I've ever had. The combination of flavors was beyond my expectations. I'm hoping you make it available again, perhaps add it to the regular menu? Just a thought.

1. I mentioned in the reservation notes I wanted a booth and that I was celebrating an anniversary. Upon entering I was told all booths were reserved and that it had not been noted that I wanted a booth.
2. No one mentioned my 40yr Anniversary all night.
3. I am disappointed that the dress code has been extremely relaxed.
4. A customer was walking around with a “fish net mask” on. Her nose and mouth fully in view and uncovered ! She should have been asked to wear a mask. There were masks at the front desk.
5. I asked a floor manager (white shoes and blue suit) if I could have or buy the “Jefferson” wooden wine box sitting above one of the booths (with a lamp on top.) He First said know, but then said “let me see if I can work some magic.” He never came back.

Jefferson is a family name. It was my anniversary. My mother died two years ago same day as my anniversary. Her name was Mrs C. Jefferson. It would have been nice to own the box. 🙁

Hands down the best filet I've ever had! Very generous 7oz . Ordered it "rare" ..it was perfectly cooked, tender beyond belief and seasoned to perfection. Our server was delightful and management respectfully attentive! Worth ever penny!!!

We had higher expectations with the food. The pot stickers were sub par. The French onion soup was too sweet and our king crab legs were poor quality and bent when we went to crack them. The manager did ask a couple of times how we were doing but we didn’t see a point in refiring the legs. The salad was delicious, we loved the ranch, our filet was perfectly cooked and the wine selection is amazing. We appreciated the decanter and the quick wine tip. The customer service was great but the kitchen was slow. Overall we won’t be back.

My wife and I have been keen customers of Eddie Merlot for a number of years and I'm happy to find that this Carmel location continues to provide an exceptional experience even in this COVID-19 year.
Daniel was our server at dinner on Tuesday 10/13 and he made sure that we were well looked after. He gave us info in the current Steaks from Around The World promotion and he knew the traditional menu well.
Social distancing and masks were in place.
Highly recommended restaurant.

Our waiter, whose name escapes me unfortunately, was excellent. Prompt service and knowledgeable. My food was breathtaking. I was skeptical of coming here with it being a chain—you need to go. Get the filet Rossini. And you MUST get the French onion soup. The wine I ordered, a Chianti, was also fabulous. This was my first time dining at Eddie Merlot’s. And it certainly won’t be my last.

The steaks are all ways tender. The crap was cook and cut into. It was a very good meal. Time to reflect with the one your with Waiter gave time to in joy Water was full all the time. Will be going back

Really quality food with ample portions. Service was excellent, prompt and efficient. The kitchen was quick and our 32oz Porterhouse steak was prepared exactly as ordered and properly seasoned. So good!! I highly recommend this dining experience.

Table was uneven and rocking and my drink dumped all over me. Waiter moved us to a new table. Had to send steak back twice to be cooked to med well. Waiter tried hard, not his fault. Husband was satisfied with his meal for the most part . Not the best birthday celebration.

Don was our server, he was wonderful. Knowledgeable of the menu, provided great recommendations, and was fun to talk with. He definitely added some joy and laughter to our evening! All of our meals were delicious, no complaints from anyone in our party of four. Interesting enough the pita chips served with the spinach/artichoke dip was everyone’s favorite.

Very disappointed. We requested a high top table but instead had a booth under a very bright light with wait staff and customers continually back and forth in front of our booth. My martini was warm, my salad overdressed thus soggy and my shrimp appetizer very difficult to cut through due to under cooked bacon. On a positive note, my spouse’s strip steak was good as was the bisque. The most disappointing was they had an “all you can eat” crab leg special that our waiter neglected to tell us and which we both would have ordered.

We were celebrating a birthday. The staff was attentive and even the General Manager Aaron took time to visit and wish a Happy Birthday. The salmon and mixed grill entrees were superb and the tempera asparagus Was cooked to perfection. The brussell sprouts were an excellent accompaniment. The carrot cake sealed the deal. It was excellent. The service throughout was exceptional. I will certainly return and will sing its praises.

We made reservations for our anniversary. When we arrived the hostess was not very friendly. We were seated in the bar which made for a lot of noise. Our server was not aware it was our anniversary, did not offer us in suggestions on wine or dinner specials. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes so they must have needed the table. Not what I expected for the price of the meal. Will not be using again for special occasion.

We were pleasantly surprised that Eddie Merlot was still as good as we remembered. We have not been there for several years. Food was pricey but was very tasty. Service was excellent. Perfectly cooked shrimp cocktail. Even Harry and Izzies undercooks their shrimp cocktail. Free birthday desert. Can't beat that

The food was amazing and they had some reasonably priced options so I feel it is fitting for many budgets. We requested a more private area to celebrate our anniversary and the staff delivered on that! The steak was cooked to perfection. The drinks were well poured and the server (Kirsten) has some great recommendations. We finished with chocolate cake that we ended up taking home because it was massive. Highly recommend.

Great food great service, we got stuck in the back by the kitchen, but was not an issue just not the best seats in my opinion. Super pricey as well but the quality was too much
