Supreme fish quality. Great rolls. The photo of the rolls on the menu are not as good as the real thing. A bit on the pricey side overall. Will go back and try other dishes. The server made for a great experience as well, attentive and conscientious and courteous.

We have been here before and it was fabulous. The food was great, service was great, vibes were good. This time, our server was almost nonexistent. She got us drinks, took our order in one go, and literally never came back to the table. We needed several things for our meal and everyone else was getting those items for us. Never asked if we needed anything, never made sure we were good to go when we received our food. On top of that, we were automatically charged for tip on a table of 6 people. That required tip was 25% which I find egregious considering how terrible the service and overall experience was. I tip 20% regardless of the server's abilities, but I was very upset to see a 25% charge on an overall subpar evening. I don't think we will be returning.

Kind of felt like an unwanted step child at first as we got passed off by our original server but their replacement was 10/10. They do a good job of making sure their featured rolls are pictured and they are obviously more expensive than your standard rolls so just be sure to look over the entire sushi menu if you were looking to keep it a little less pricey. The sushi was fantastic though highly recommend the red dragon & 6th streetrolls!

overall very nice place! we found that we loved everything we got but the rolls, they weren't bad but they weren't the strongest of foods that they offered, still better than most places though so we're not hating. out of our experience we say don't waste your time on the sushi rolls, get the cold crudos (we didn't taste any truffle which we liked) the hamachi crudo was literally the best thing ever and we wished we ordered more, also try the Korean short ribs- perfectly cooked, and the nigiri was done very very well, a few could've been a little more seasoned if you're like me and prefer not to use any soy sauce on them but we had a great time. friendly service. we'll definitely go back.

From the moment we arrived at Ebisu it was a poor experience. The place was relatively empty so it shouldn’t have taken as long as it did to get our party set up and to order drinks, but that took 40 minutes from the time we arrived to the time that our first drinks arrived. Half of our party didn’t receive drinks, a couple others received the wrong drink to which the waitress responded “more for me”. 0/10 won’t be visiting this place again.

This place was amazing! Best sushi I have ever had. The drinks were delicious as well. We ordered the Ginza 75 and ebisu old fashion to drink. Both delicious. Then started with the tuna bouquet—phenomenal. I have never had anything like it. We also both had a piece of O toro nigiri and Ikura nigiri, so freaking fresh the o toro melted on your tongue. For our entree we ordered the sushi boat which comes in with a ton of sashimi and nigiri and two specialty rolls. The albacore tuna roll was amazing!!

Loud, poor service, food was hit or miss. Dining for 3 people was $140 with an appetizer and 1 cocktail. One of our sushi rolls had some sort of ground fish mush that claimed to be tuna. 2 big factors for me when eating at a sushi restaurant: the smell of the place when you walk in the door and using actual pieces of fish on your food. This place failed both.

We had a great meal here. My mom has celiac and I eat GF and normally it’s difficult to find decent sushi that is gluten free but these guys nailed it. We only had to mention it once and they accommodated. The waitress was very kind (but a little busy). We sat in the back corner so it wasn’t too loud. I would definitely come back.

Happy hour menu is great! So many options and the staff is very friendly and everything is clean and tidy! Great rolls and plentiful amount of other options! Highly recommend!

Service was good. The miso soup and roll were good, but the hamachi was doused in vinegar and the salad had a dressing that just didn't pop. At this price point, there are many other options in Austin.

Stopped in for lunch during a recent trip to Austin. The ambiance was very relaxed and our server was very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our food, the prices were quite reasonable! The only annoyance was the presence of gnats or flies buzzing about our table while we tried to eat. I'd go back.

What a great experience! The server was very knowledgeable about the menu offerings and sake selections. She made excellent recommendations for nigiri, rolls, and sake pairings. The food was delicious. We didn’t put soy sauce on anything because the flavors were perfect. And the tempera green tea ice cream was just the right ending to a fabulous meal.

Waited 12 minutes for someone to wait on us. Got water, then another 10 minutes passed before drink order was taken. Difficult to hold business discussion with couple with toddler seated after us, child cried and fussed the entire time.

My son wanted to try Japanese cuisine for his birthday. A quick search listed Ebisu as an option and we couldn't have been more pleased. The food, service, and ambiance was all outstanding. We will definitely be going back in the future.

Ebisu was good, but pricey for what you get. You can get the same quality sushi at much better price at Mikado. Service was friendly but slow. Perhaps they were short staffed. We had dirty dishes on our table for a long time.

Everything was great, service, live music and food tasted amazing.. I did find a piece of glass in my food but they took care of my meal and made a new one. Mistakes happen and I didn’t get hurt so no harm no foul. 9.5/10

We were sat for our 6:30 reservation at 6:25 with a happy hour menu. We knew what we wanted. and our waitress came over at 6:31, looked at the clock on her phone, proceeded to take our happy hour menus given to us by the host and say: “Happy hour is over.” I understand we cut it close, but I feel like most places kinda see that you were sat prior to happy hour, or at the very least, apologize? All that to say, felt like it was quality sushi for a very unassuming place next to the highway. Would go back, but probably only for the happy hour.

We had the most incredible server! She was so helpful and lovely and gave us a free dessert at the end of the meal. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but she truly made our dining experience memorable. The food was also delicious and came out very quickly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys delicious sushi!

Booked this place last minute for Valentine’s Day. Got sat at the sushi bar which was fine because my wife and I like that kind of vibe. It took FOREVER to get served for drinks, food, etc. Asking for the check alone took nearly 30 mins. We weren’t necessarily in a rush, but it was clear that the restaurant was not prepared for Valentine’s Day and they may have potentially overbooked their reservations. The waitress seemed nice, but didn’t really check in to see if we needed anything, nor did she apologize for having to wait 30 mins for the check. Overall, I think I’d like this place better on a normal night, but it was kind of a mess this particular night.
