Good vibe, good drinks but food was sub par and too expensive. Probably won’t go back.

We were seated in a small front room that had only 6 tables, mostly for two. The little gem wedge salad was small, and not really a wedge, but it was good. The steamed mussels were also good. The roasted rockfish did not look like the description on the menu, but it was ok. The shrimp and grits came in a bowl with a soup spoon. There was way too much liquid in the bowl. The shrimp had the tails on, so I had to scoop out the shrimp to remove the tails. The shrimp was a little tough and chewy. We won't be going back to ECP.

We went for the Richmond Restaurant Week experience, seeking to sample a few selected menu items. We were pleasantly surprised by a full menu of options for the three courses the RRW program includes. For a fleeting moment, we considered ordering another full meal so we wouldn’t have to limit ourselves to 2 options each course. Despite the economical pricing of the week’s special menu, the portions were plentiful and the dishes were full of all the tastes and features available from the full menu. Our service was wonderful, with good advice as we guided our way through the options. We appreciated the teamwork from all those who helped keep our selections coming on time as well as the continual check-ins to be sure we had what we needed throughout the evening. We did…and we had an enjoyable visit.

We’ve eaten here before and it was great. Last night, not so great. They were short staffed and a lot of the staff was doing their best. We ordered a sushi roll and a bottle of wine, both of which were great and promptly served. Our waitress was very inattentive. She served us and we didn’t see her again until the very end of the meal. My wife ordered the filet, medium. It came out blue rare. We’d have sent it back but we didn’t see our waitress again until I had finished my food.

No soap in bathroom, no hand sanitizer available, appetizers salmon sashimi and PEI muscles were good, main dish lobster risotto too salty and haphazardly plated, main dish mahi way too dry, dessert peach cobbler too watery and distasteful, nutella mousse was ok. Service was too slow.

The oysters were great. The tuna roll was amazing, the lobster risotto was good, but not great. The peach crisp was AWFUL. It was a peach soup. The wine bottles are too expensive. For what we paid for our table.... it was not worth it

This was a very popular destination on a beautiful Spring evening in Richmond. Our request at the time of booking was for outside seating, but there was no availability on the patio when we arrived and the policy for patio seating is first come, first served. We were warmly greeted and seated upstairs by a charming hostess. Our server arrived promptly at our table, a nice window seat overlooking the patio. We enjoyed our fish entrees of salmon and rockfish. The portions were small, but were certainly adequate, delicious and nicely prepared. We each had a glass of oakier Chardonnay suggested by the server. It was very nice companion to both of our fish entrees.

Not many places serve burgers medium rare but it was still good. Everyone enjoyed their food and had a very nice time. The three other sandwiches received high praise. It was a very pleasant experience.

It was just okay. Prices are high for the food given. Definitely not as good as it used to be. Maybe an off night but just wasn't great.
