Great food! Loved the drink descriptions! Service was friendly without being over the top. Cozy place to enjoy great conversation!
The atmosphere and service were top notch in both efficiency and friendliness! The poutine benedict knocked it out of the park!
It was a lovely experience. Not rushed at all. Wait staff was kind and helpful. Food was delicious.
Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Great value
Delicious food! Great service! Would definitely recommend. Best charcuterie board I've had in Nashville!
Delicious Sunday Brunch. Get the French toast! Glad they had a grace period for reservations because we were a little late. Their espresso machine was broken so we couldn’t get lattes, we just got regular coffee. Just wish our server came around more to refill our coffee cups. Overall a very good experience!
We wanted to go somewhere local for our anniversary so we chose this place, assuming we could avoid hordes of tourists. Regrettably not the case, as every other table in the joint was a large party. The kitchen was in the weeds and we waited quite a while. Food was good if unremarkable. We might go back some day, but then, isn’t it pretty to think so.
Ambiance was great. Cute little gem off the beaten path. They accommodated our big group very well. Service from the start was SLOW, and from then on - non-existent. Didn't fill up waters or check on drinks. Food was OK.
Brussels were outstanding. Shared the Tomahawk ribeye and it was delicious. Great food and service.
Staff was timely and courteous, and the food was made efficiently and tasted great.
Perfect little hideaway to celebrate my daughter’s birthday.
Went for Easter Brunch with some friends and from the bottomless mimosas to the burger everything was perfect! Will be back!
Great brunch with amazing pancakes!
Perfect date night vibes 💛 And an amazing menu! The staff were super fun too!
The server was great, poured the bottomless mimosas like I was dying of thirst. The food on the other hand, was heavy like the pour. I also think the duck/wagyu burger was uncooked which meant I took many trips to the bathroom later that night. Maybe again, idk.
Awesome food, great service, delicious cocktails.
Parker was a great server - friendly and informative. The first Steve McQueen cocktail was amazing, as was the second, third, and so on... Delicious food (i.e. brussel sprouts that children would fight over). Overall Excellent in all respects - I highly reccommend!!!
Great! It quaint and cool ! We enjoyed our family brunch!
Pork Chops were tough. Sent back. Chicken Dumplings and Korean bbq was great
Drinks were unique. Pricey though.
Always a wonderful experience!
Cute atmosphere and fun drinks!
Food and cocktails were excellent.
We have dined here multiple times over the last couple years. Since we both are well past the two weeks for the Covid vaccines to be maximally effective, we decided to head out for our first indoor dining since February of 2020. Here is what to expect: Plenty of space, most excellent service, perfect food and cocktails. When you visit, make sure to take some time to explore the building and art work.
Food was amazing
The food is ok at best - I suppose changing the formality from Hemmingways to Earnest should be our first clue that this went from cool and elegant to informal and little effort made. Service was excellent, but a server can't improve what comes out of the kitchen.
Fantastic as always
Amazing place to eat! The bartender Bill is my absolute favorite!
We are mid-forties and have been to Hemingway several times, but maybe their demographic is changing. The music was obnoxiously loud — like sitting in a club. This is the 2nd time we have been to brunch with the music situation. It does not allow for any relaxed and enjoyable conversation for patrons. It’s such a great spot, but I am not sure if we will return at this point. Music for ambiance is terrific, but this was well beyond ambiance. Would recommend a live show with dancers if this will be the norm moving forward since conversation with friends is off the table. We will need something to watch vs. reading lips.
Best bone-in pork chop I have had in a restaurant, and I know my way around a bone-in pork chop. First time there; definitely won’t be the last.
Fantasic food, great vibe, a little too loud for conversation.
Great place. Service was top notch and the food incredible.
I have eaten a this restaurant in the past. Every time I drop in for a dinner with my wife, I become a bigger. Everything from the cocktails to the appetizers, from the desserts to the great beer selection, everything about this place is top notch. You can NOT go wrong ordering anything on the menu, it's all good! If you're new to the area or looking for a nice vibe, this is your spot! The chef is head over shoulders above almost anything in town. Hit up this spot for brunch or dinner, you'll be so friggin glad you did!
Traveling through town. Stayed at the Bonito Living Chestnut Hill, easy walk only two blocks away. Lots of activity in the neighborhood. Welcomed graciously. Server was very helpful. Brussels sprouts, poutine and Korean chicken filled us up. Oh yah, the cocktails and wine were super. Our local friends have it their list of go to establishments. Highly recommend if you enjoy flavorful food and surroundings
Chef Holly always wows us with the menu she creates, I especially love the fish dishes that are always paired excellently with a fresh vegetable. I had the mussels this past time and they were cooked to perfection with load flavors of garlic and butter. Service is always perfection and the drinks never disappoint as well. Definitely will be back soon.
Where to start. First our server JJ should not be serving tables. We were left sitting a long time just for water, then to order, over and over again. He was full of excuses. He told us 3 times the manager would be over. Not to be seen til the end. Baby Kale salad pomegranates no cranberries, spiced pecans no almonds. Then the server doesn't tell you. "oh yes there out of a lot". Its Saturday night and your not prepared. Tomahawk ribeye, full of gristle have my plate was covered in it. $90 terrible steak. The manager I think cane by at the end to say there usually very good and could see my plate. It might be great for locals who do not understand food preparation, but to travel to there is a complete waste of time.
JJ is one of the best servers in this city. There was exactly ZERO gristle in your steak. There was fat. Gristle is tough cartilaginous, tendinous , or fibrous matter... not fat. Ribeye is a fatty cut, please don't speak to things of which you know little. We "weren't prepared on a saturday night" you came in on the saturday after a weeklong snowstorm that shut half the country down, including our deliveries. we were making changes on the fly. everyone else seemed to understand.
This restaurant is aptly named. It is a hideaway. For those not familiar with the WEHO area, it takes a bit of navigation especially since we went when streets were iced over and not all were brined. It made for an interesting ride BUT what a treat when we arrived. Service started a bit slow but picked up beautifully. Our waitress was nicely attentive and pleasant. The drinks were sublime and the food was inventive and very good.
Overall such a great spot. It helps that the background music was good too.
Btw. Table spacing is COVID appropriate.
Would definitely recommend and will return.
We loved everything about our first visit on Valentine's Day for brunch. So much. We can't wait to revisit Nashville and try Earnest's for dinner.
My wife and I had a great experience dining at Hemingway's. The food was delicious and our server, Parker was attentive, knowledgeable and fun. It was crowded and noisy but we still had a wonderful time.
It was our daughter's birthday, our second time there and her first. We had a very enjoyable evening, great food and drinks. We felt safe and served. Thank you.
