Great food but it was busy so it was noisy. Amazing margaritas too!
We had a lovely Father’s Day dinner here with a party of 8. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was outstanding! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Also, special thanks to the staff and chef for careful attention to my son’s food allergies.
We had a great time on father's day! We made a reservation and were able to get a patio table. My dad and I ordered the chicken and the fish tacos. Both fantastic! Wine was a bit pricey but yummy. Beer selection was great too. Finally, our server, Laura, was the best!!!!!! We will be back!
Veggie burgers were surprisingly good.
Music way too loud for chatting - we had met up with friends from Israel whom we hadn't seen for 25 years, so naturally wanted to catch up and chat - the high noise level resulted in us having to shout at one another to make ourselves heard.
Would have liked more choices of entrees for vegetarians, incorporating some protein. We were limited to veggie burgers.
The food was really good but the service was really poor
Great customer service Excellent tasty food!
Was a special night and even though I called ahead there was no acknowledgement
Made to feel we were not welcome at all
Great server named Laura
Always great service. Food is good, but service is what makes this place.
Good location, great menu and wine options, very friendly service
Waitress made mistakes with our order. Getting our bill took longer than expected.
The service was fast and efficient and the server was great.
Excellent service, drinks and good. Great place for business meals in Downtown close to all hotels and offices.
Our waitress was fabulous and fun.
We had a good meal BUT, although I drank beer and liked it, I would prefer a glass of wine.
The price of your wine is prohibitive. It's what I normally pay for a bottle.
chicken curry with mild sauce and blackened cajun chicken both much too spiced for our preference
We had lunch reservations for a table of 5 and luckily there was a table available on the patio. Hosting staff were friendly, as was our server and manager. The restaurant was having an internet issue and therefore the orders weren’t processing properly to the bar. The server apologized for the wait and the manager came over to let us know that our drinks would be comped, which was very much appreciated. The server also mistakenly keyed in the wrong pasta from the menu and the manager brought over scallops and shrimp to add to the order. You could say that the lunch was not as ideal as we would have hoped for, however the hospitality of the staff was outstanding and managed in a very professional and pleasant manner.
Went to Earl's before seeing a show at a theatre further down King. I ordered a steak frites medium-well; and when they brought my meal, they originally brought a regular steak meal. When they finally sent the correct meal; the steak was burned to a crisp and as dry as leather; and had obviously left well done far behind. Sent back my meal for a second time, in order to get my correct meal the third time. For this inconvenience the restaurant did nothing.
If a restaurant known for steaks; can't serve a fairly simple steak meal correctly; it can't be one I would recommend to others.
Service we received (I believe her name was McKenzie) was superb! My food was okay; I had the cheese burger. Pretty standard for what you get in and around the financial district nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. Skip the garlic fries (IMO).
Quality food and great service but not easy to chat with the music blaring. Good for drinks but not for a quiet dinner with friends who wish to talk and hear each other.
Kristen made our large groups experience fantastic! Well done!
Busy but nice
The food was delicious. the service was a little slow as they were very busy, but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.
Great service all around and a really nice ambiance.
Really enjoyed the food and the amazing patio. Good pricing and delicious food. The waiter we had was amazing. This was the best service we have ever had in a restaurant!!!
We had to go early to get a seat on the patio. Food was decent but a bit overpriced (wine was quite expensive by the glass) but the service was very good - Montana was cheerful, responsive and fun and took good care of everything.
The restaurant is very attractive and the food and service were good to excellent.
However, it was so noisy we could barely carry on a conversation. If I can go Toronto again, I would choose a different place for a meal
Food & service was great, but it was too noisy! Never again until the decibel levels come down.
Not my first time here and I keep coming back because Earls is consistent with food and drinks. Love their cocktails (tried the Paper Plane for the first time - sooo good)!
Good selection of food and drink and there are vegan and gluten free options so there is something for everyone. The warm potato salad is probably the best I've ever had.
It is always busy so reservations are a good idea and book early if you can. Patio is always full so if you want a seat come very early. It is usually noisy because it's always full so if you want a quiet place to chat, this probably isn't it.
The food is subpar compared to the nearby restaurants that's similar in style.
thoroughly enjoyable - excellent service - very comfortable booth seating and good food.
Gear food, atmosphere and prices. Will be back for happy hour brunch
The patio was incredibly hot. It was almost 21 C degrees outside and the heaters were on. We asked several times for them to lower the temperature, we were not the only table complaining, but it took them over an hour to listen to our request and lower the heat. It was not easy to enjoy the food when I felt like i was in an oven
Very nice and great service
They made my daughter’s bday special. Food was delicious, a few errors with the orders but they made it right. Chocolate cake was fantastic.
After hearing good things about this restaurant we decided to try it out for a birthday dinner, however we were very disappointed with the lack of communication in our meal choices (ie. we were told a dish was not spicy and did not contain onions, to have the dish brought out to 4 our of 5 people from our party and all were disappointed with its incredibly spicy flavour. It was so spicy none were able to finish it). After speaking with the server about our meals and how to bills were to be split, she brought the bills which were split incorrectly. When we tried to explain how they were incorrect, she proceeded to rip the bills from our hand, say sorry (with a lot of attitude I must say) and walk away. Overall, service was great to begin with but after a few issues the server was not happy clearly. We overheard her talking about our table to another server. Just extremely disappointed and feel disrespected by our server for something that was not meant to be made a big deal.
The restaurant was very noisy which we did not expect - thought there would have been a section where the noise was reasonable.
Reasonable price for downtown..Food ok. Service good.
Nice room, good food. Wine ridiculously priced. I don't feel like I should spend almost the price of a bottle for a 9 oz glass. This alone would make me think twice about returning, although the food was good and the service competent. My companions all enjoyed the steak and I thought the mussels were very good.
skip the banana cream pie, it's new on the menu but not worth the calories.
We were here for a Mothers Day dinner after coming from a matinee viewing of Come from Away. We had reservations and everything was fine (food, service, menu) however sitting us in the bar section with all the large screens didn't really fit a mother's day dinner for 2 grandmothers in attendance. There was plenty of room on the dining room side, which would have been more appealing to the grandmothers.
Earl’s was absolutely wonderful. Went there for Mother’s Day with my family, and everyone loved it. Food was perfect, and dessert even better. By far the best cheesecake I’ve ever had.
