About this restaurant

  • Great for brunch
  • Kid-friendly
  • Innovative
The Duke of Kent has an interesting history that dates back to Georgian times. Today though, the pub offers a winning combination of great food (freshly prepared), excellent beers and wines, topped with superb service. It's the best pub in Ealing (according to the landlord!). We also have an outside bar in the 'secret garden'!

I went tot the Duke of Kent with a client and had a very good experience all round. the food was good with more than ample potions and the service was efficient and friendly. If I lived closer I would be a regular - I reckon Sunday Lunch would be amazing given the quality of the lunch menu. I wish I had a Duke of Kent on my doorstep!

Absolutely packed, noisy + expensive. Refurbishment has been well done. But, £8.25 for TWO scallops? (next day someone got three?) Folk flocked down to see the new version of this pub and many could not eat as they had not booked. We went on a Friday night and my turbot was beautifully cooked but small portion. They no longer do Pinot Grigio as they could not find a good one - disappointing. I suspect they have a very good chef and all the staff were working flat out and a cheerful manager but I shall not plan to eat again and will go back to using it as a pub when invited by others for group do's. I do not like dogs but I was still cheered to see that they are allowed in as this is just near the park - I can live with them!

It took a while to realize you order at the bar as the center of the pub looks like a restaurant. Duke of Kent is a huge pub with big garden + lots nooks and crannies.Front and back covered in flowers. Food was superb - warm beetroot salad starter + red snapper salsa were best and of top restaurant standard. Good enough selection of wine for all budgets. I would use a separate area for the families with kids due to noise levels and they do have the space. Like all Fullers; they need more staff training, organization, new toilet accoutrements - oh, I would love to be the Czar of Fullers!! But, I think this pub is great, was surprised at the quality of the meal, decor is good and appropriate and it should work for all social situations.
