We loved all the interesting appetizers and side dishes. We have several and never got to the main courses which also looked great. Excellent wines by the glass and a great wine list.
The atmosphere was awkward and the service was over-attentive. We felt as if we were being rushed out and it was impossible to finish a sentence before you were interrupted with another server asking to clear a plate or fill a glass. All the right concepts but put together poorly. Not comfortable despite the wonderful food
We are frequent diners in Aspen and had really hoped to like Duemani, but sadly, were underwhelmed and disappointed. Run more like a cafeteria than a fine restaurant. Instead of greeting with a friendly "hello" or "how was your day", we were told where we could sit and how long we were permitted to dine before we must relinquish our table. Then upon seating, we were reminded a second time as to the "time limit" on the table we chose. Plenty of wait staff...almost too many...but all with the purpose of rapidly putting food on your table, then whisking away the dishes, all in an apparent attempt to maximize turn in the restaurant; they actually took away my wife's wine glass before she had completed it. And why no table clothes in an upscale dining establishment as Duemani? I suppose it is another way to rapidly prepare tables for their next "victim." Food was great, not awesome. Somewhat bland and lacking flavor. Can't comment on the dessert....as our time had expired.
We allow guests a pleasant two hour dining time for all reservations. You booked online, for our bar. Upon arrival you informed us that you preferred a table. With warmth we let you know that our only table would be limited to 60mn and is not recommended to enjoy the dining experience. Your choice to accept the hour for the table caused for your "victim" feelings. We encourage you to return and book a table to relax while having a positive experience that those around you gratefully enjoyed.
Foods great, pricing looks to be on par with what you'd expect but portions size of the sides and apps were extremely small. Fish portions are good but the steak portions are also a bit small for the price
Nice room, food and wine were on point! Sat at the bar Sean was great.
We sent our babysitters for a nice dinner out and while the food was delicious they were not treated kindly by the staff. They were rushed out and their plates were taken away before they were even finished eating.
The owner is a total jerk. Me and my guests received a house dinner party invitation for the same night that I had a reservation at Duemani. Thus I tried to cancel/move my reservation that same day, but he insisted that that was not possible, and he would charge me $75 pp if I didn’t show up. My call was early afternoon, so it would have given him plenty of time to sell the table again (early March being one of the busiest times of the year).
My friends went to the house dinner. And I could not magically make new dining partners appear out of thin air. So, in order to avoid being charged $225 for nothing at all, I showed up by myself that night. Told him I would just order the minimum fare and leave. To which he replied (verbatim): “How about you never come to this restaurant again? I won’t charge you. Go f*ck yourself.”
Obviously this guy has never had any training in hospitality or a basic idea how to treat clients. I can understand a busy restaurant charging people when they don’t show up. But It has never happened to me that they would not allow me to cancel or at least move my reservation to a different day. And I have certainly not had someone in the hospitality field ever talk to me this way.
No question that I would never go there again.
Absolutely amazing experience. The drinks were delicious. The food was outstanding. I ordered the lamb chops and my husband ordered the breaded veal. We then shared the carrots as a side. All exceeded expectations. In addition, the staff were all friendly and helpful. This rose to the top of our list of favorite restaurants in Aspen.
Amazing dinner! Can’t wait to go back.
Cenamos delicioso, recomiendo el Pulpo, el Chuletón de ternera y el branzino; el servicio espectacular! Ojalá mejoren los postres para poder cerrar con broche de oro.
Diner was phenomenal! An attentive staff, great music and smooth drinking cocktails all accompanied with delicious food sums up a night to remember in Aspen. The Salmon tartare, Octopus ceviche and Clam chowder are a must to try.
If you are a fan of wine don't miss a chance to glance at their extensive list, some of Italy's and France's best wines are here to try.
Can't wait to go back in the summer.
Absolutely wonderful meal. Excellent service. Incredible liquor selection. Really impressive cocktails.
Absolutely delicious. The
Absolutely one of the best meals I have had in a very long time! Truly amazing from the wine list to the king crab followed by cioppino! Simply to die for!
Service leaves something to be desired. Appetizers were excellent, entrees also good. Desserts would never get again, despite trying four of the offered options. Wine is overpriced. Overall a nice experience but for the price point would expect more.
Great service..wish they served pasta
It was a perfect Romantic valentines dinner
Lovely meal, great food and service
Dumani is one of the "finest" restaurants in Aspen. The food is excellent. The wine list is over-the-top in terms of price.
Service is amazing...ask for Juan.
One of the worse places while visiting Aspen for my husbands birthday. First, they accepted our reservation at 8:30pm for a party of 6. We had no idea however, they stopped serving both food and drinks at 9:30pm and had to be out of the establishment by 10pm. An establishment like this should know a group of 6 would not eat appetizers, drink bottles of wine, and have dinner and dessert in one hour. At this point, it became an issue when we were rushed to leave, were refused a bottle of wine but were offered glasses instead (kind of strange, but ok...) and was told that we needed to take our dessert to go because we had to be out by 10pm.
If we’re making a reservation at this time, we should be made aware of this “rule”. Also, when the manager was called to our table to discuss the issue (which he was in the middle of having his own meal at the bar), he had no problem disregarding our concerns... of course this was after we had paid our $752 bill.
With this kind of charge, I would expect to at least have been offered dessert to go due to the acceptance of our reservation. The manager was completely rude, not understanding, and accepted no responsibility for how he runs “his establishment”... literally in his own words. This place doesn’t deserve to serve people at these menu prices for they can’t match the level of service.
Portion sizes vary greatly. The servers hover a bit more than what felt comfortable for our party. Very elegant and sophisticated. We enjoyed the wide variety on the wine list.
So yummy great staff
would not return.
This was, hands down, one of the best meals I’ve had in Aspen is a very long time. The renovation to the building is beautiful and the decor is so inviting. Our server, Dale, was very knowledgable and attentive. All of our food came on time and absolutely delicious. We started with the albacore crudi special that came with black truffles. It was a true stunner. We then had the grilled octopus and crab tostados. Both were wonderful. It might have been the most tender and well cooked octopus I’ve had in a while. For main courses we had the veal milanese and scallops. The scallops had a perfect sear and were quite large. The veal milanese had a gorgeous salad on top and came with the bone in which made it even more impressive! For dessert we had the lemon olive oil cake which was, no surprises here, fantastic. I cannot wait to come back as soon as possible and try more of the menu.
Came here with my family for Christmas dinner and was just underwhelmed. Not a terrible meal, just very blah for the bill. The menu is very odd; just long lists of raw or prepared meats with no sides. No real dishes to offer. Not impressed with that at all. The prices were pretty expensive for broiled or grilled meats or fish with no creativity or culinary expression behind them. Had to order everything a la carte. My swordfish was just served grilled on a cheap plate with no dressing or anything, for again, just a very steep price tag. Desserts were not great either. I hate to say it, but I could have made such a better meal at home. The ambience is nothing special, the service is the same. Won’t be going back.
Excellent food and good service. Love this place.
Absolutely DEEEEEELIOUS, but expensive, which is to be expected in Aspen!
Because of COVID, dinning out has been very rare these days, I was so happy to get an opportunity to dine at Duemani for the first time and upon their re-opening. Every single dish from appetizers to the desert was simply outstanding. Great wine list and a great wait staff.
Another great meal at our favorite Aspen restaurant.
Excellent food and excellent service! I would like to call out Antonio as our waiter- he was fantastic, social and a great waiter! Very friendly!
We will definitely be back next time we visit Aspen.
