D’Road Cafe began operations in 2011 at Atlanta Hwy and Bell Road with no more than 6 tables; the idea was to provide a healthy alternative for breakfast, lunch and dinner for those who wanted to eat hearty Latin food.

We don’t have a conventional restaurant, I really want you to feel at home, when you go home, and you say ‘Mom, what do you have?’ She says, ‘Come to the kitchen and see.’ You say, ‘OK, I want this, this and this.’ You take your plate, and you go and sit down. So that’s how we work; choose your table, get your drink and when you are ready tell us your selection of one meat and three sides all included in one price. We have desserts too!

I believe that food is happiness and I want to share that with my family and friends, I want you to be part of our family too; we will be expecting to hear from you, you can eat and feel at home with us!

I have used open table many times and never had any problems. We booked Droad café through Open table for valentines night. I got a text from open table a day or two after booking to confirm the date and time. When we showed up to D Road Cafe, they said they had no record of us coming. They say that open table does not communicate with them for reservations. This is a problem between open table and the restaurant that needs to be fixed. The patron has no idea that they can’t get a reservation.

We had a confirmed reservation with open table at D'road for Valentine's day at 630. We were denied a table and told we had to contact the owner directly. The owner said Open Table failed to contact her denied us service. The restaurant was only half full with lots of tables empty. Do not use Open Table to go here!

What a wonderful breakfast! Janett, the owner, came over to talk with us, and was delightfully engaging. Her passion for cooking and people was clearly evident in our conversation as well as the tasty and filling meal we enjoyed. We had the crazy eggs - served in an iron skillet, and the eggs over shredded beef with black beans. Scrumptious! A one of a kind restaurant - and a do-not-miss when in Montgomery!
