   The food was excellent as usual. Our waiter was prompt and attentive. The ribeye I had was chared to perfection and was very flavorful. My wife had the oyster appetizer and it was plenty for a meal. The oysters were so large they had to be eaten in bites. Though pricy at $59 for the ribeye it was worth every cent.

   Simply outstanding steaks! Great little gem of a restaurant! Service was good, although staff not very assertive and somewhat unsure about the offerings … something easily fixed with some mentoring and experience. Overall, it’s a must try!

   This was our first visit….very pleased with our evening including the atmosphere, food and service. Everyone there was welcoming and friendly. The proximity to the American Theater was why we went but we will definitely return.

   Was excited to try this place as I'd heard so many great things. Very disappointed. Not at all worth the money. The char on the filet was unbearable and it had no flavor. The potatoes and zucchini had no flavor. I guess the bread and wine were the best part. For the price I would have expected an elevated level of service as well. Definitely not a repeat for me.

   Out first time and it was fantastic! Was our first choice due to the fact that they take reservations and it turned out to be the best choice we could have made! The bread and spring onion butter (house made) is off the hook and so were all of our dinner choices!

   The pork chop was mind-blowingly delicious! The drinks and ambiance were spectacular! They also had a thin mint cheesecake for dessert that I would come back for over and over again! I can’t recommend this place enough!

    $8 for a very skinny “loaf “ of bread was disappointing. However the butter spread of that day was delicious!!! However it was almost frozen so very difficult to spread. Should be soft!! Needed more sauce on the meats but nice crust on them

    I took my wife out on a spur of the moment the appetizer and cocktail I ordered were great. The entrées, however, were poor The burger and fries I ordered were awful. I couldn’t even take two bites of the burger literally. The fries were overcooked. My wife’s entrée was not any better. Her chicken was tasteless. And the beans and rice were tasteless. Great service great ambience. Just wish the entrées were better.

    I took my adult daughter out to dinner before a show at the American Theatre. The prices were at worst mid range for the high quality dining experience we enjoyed. My daughter had the rockfish special and I, the signature pork. Both were delicious. One drink order took a bit, because the bartender was back logged, but service was otherwise impeccable. Despite our sitting near other tables, we were able to converse without strain. The owner came by asking about our experience. The final bill was lower than I had projected.     There were 4 of us with a reservation. We were sat within 10 minutes of reservation time. We were served drinks in waiting area. Our waiter was excellent. Manager stopped in to make sure we were happy. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. The roasted almonds & bread service with flavored butter were excellent. We frequent all the restaurants in Phoebus and we will definitely be back for special occasion or date night dinner since this is a pricey menu but definitely high quality and done well. They have a new enclosed back patio that we will probably check out for happy hour as the weather warms. There was a grade school age child there but I didn't see a kids menu (there may have been a children's menu but I wasn't looking for it) and I really would not recommend this as a younger child friendly place but more of a grown up nice dinner out or business dinner type atmosphere. Not a big place and tables are all along one wall, pretty close to each other.

    Drexler’s was clean and cozy, with a nice atmosphere and vibe. My husband and I shared a few small plates and we had cocktails — everything we ate was enjoyable and the drinks were nice, too. Our server, Brady, was extremely pleasant and helpful. I’ve already recommended Drexler’s to friends. We will be back!

    I had dinner with a friend at Drexler's Wood Fired Grill on 1/26/2023 and it was awesome! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an inviting color palette and warm lighting. We were greeted and sat immediately upon entering. Our Server Brady was knowledgeable about the menu and let us know his favorites and suggestions. We took his suggestions on appetizers, entrees and cocktails. We both started with The Last Emporer for a cocktail. It was fresh and delightful! The food was delicious! We started with Blue Crab Hushpuppies and a Pork Tostada. Both were good but the hushpuppies were YUM! I had the Daily Fish which was Sautéed Trout with Collard Greens and I chose the Whipped Potatoes. Delicious! I finished with this yummy chocolatey pie that I can't think of the name of but which I very much enjoyed. I highly recommend this gem!!!

    Beautiful restaurant and food was absolutely amazing /tasty. Hostess seemed like she was a bit overwhelmed- and I was marked no show on my reservation when I was actually there.     Drexler’s is great overall. Our waiter, Christian, was probably one of the nicest, most knowledgeable dudes waiting tables in Hampton. We probably would have ordered shoe leather if he suggested it. Just really great service. Tracy, the manager checked in on us periodically and could not have been more accommodating since I changed my reservation from 2 people to 6 people on a Friday night, day of the reservation! The decor is much improved over the old space in the previous restaurant- very bright. Very open. It’s not romantic or fussy. Dress is very casual and that fits the vibe here. It’s a bit noisy in there- high ceilings. But you can still have a conversation. Our table for 6 was in a curved booth with added chairs and it was great for conversation. Restaurants need more round tables.. The appetizers were chicken potato empanadas, a beautiful bread with onion butter, flounder bites, crispy fried local oysters and poutine with smoked pork (the BEST ONE). All were really delicious and interesting. For dinner we had the seafood of the day- puppy drum with jasmine rice- large piece of fish done perfectly and flavorful rice. We also had the ($58 gulp- that’s the same price as the Butcher’s Son’s 24oz bone in cowboy ribeye) 14oz ribeye and the filet- both very well seasoned and perfectly to the doneness we asked- rare and medium rare. Sides are delicious but not unusual- mashed potatoes were very yummy though! The cocktail I had- “grimace’s last stand” tasted like a sock that grimace wore to work at McDonalds. With the first two ingredients being dark rum and pineapple juice I expected something sweet- it was definitely not. It was the only thing I didn’t like. There was a whiskey drink that my boyfriend had mixed with creme de cacao - awesome.A glass of good cab fixed my problem. We were too stuffed to really do dessert but we decided to share a chocolate bread pudding for the table and it was reeeeealy good. Need to come back for dessert! We will be back!

    Will never go here again. My filet was incredibly undercooked and they recooked it and the outside was burnt, the server didn’t know how to properly open a bottle of wine, their wine selection was terrible. Overall such a bad experience. Literally the only thing we truly enjoyed was the fries.

    This was our first visit. The service was excellent. Ambiance was very good. Drinks and food were both well prepared and excellent quality. Price was a bit above average but all things considered, if you want a quality experience, worth the investment.
