For the price, the hamburger was really thin and overcooked. We were a table for four, and dinner came out cold. The restaurant wasn’t busy and everything should’ve been served warm and at the same time. I wouldn’t recommend a return.

We went for restaurant week Fairfax City. The ambience was very nice. We ate inside at a table in the back. The staff was attentive. Our server was helpful explaining the menu. Also there is a parking lot right next to the building. A good dinning experience.

The restaurant was very clean. Customer service by Olivia was superb. The food came out at the same time, presentation was good and the food taste great. I had crab cake, fries and the white chocolate bread budding which was delicious. I will definitely return to try out other dishes. Keep up the great work Drapers!

First time eating at Draper’s. We loved the decor and ambience. They have a cool bar and great look. We had 6:30 reservations and were seated immediately. It took 20 minutes to get a cocktail. They brought out our appetizer promptly, but after that, it went downhill. There were only 3 of us, but we didn’t get our entrees until 8:45. We had lost our appetites, and just wanted to get them to go at that point. It was obviously a kitchen issue and our poor waitress was embarrassed to keep coming to our table. Food was excellent but we will not be returning.

First time, food was ok. Crabcake had shells and Prime Rib was chewy. The waiter was great but the food took a while to come out. When asked to upgrade my side, I had to wait 20-30minutes, so opted out to purchase an additional side. Hostess is very friendly and bubbly, I enjoyed walking into that energy. We'll be back to try one more time, its a very cute place inside and out.

We had a lovely anniversary dinner. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious. We had the prime rib special and rib eye both were cooked perfectly. The vinaigrette dressing on the salad was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

This was our 3 time here- disappointed, something changed. No fish of the day, no cocktail sauce for the crab cake. Very few people eating in the restaurant. The place is lovely, where are the customers?

We go to Drapers a lot, for brunch, happy hour and dinner. Last nite we had dinner with friends, with all of us in a mood for seafood. Calamari started us off for an app for the table. Unless steamed calamari is your thing, make sure to ask for it to be fried. Salmon, mahi and crabcake sandwich were the seafood selections, and everyone really liked their dishes. The special for the night, mahi with roasted brussels, was a big hit. We had a very attentive waiter and bar drinks came quickly after ordering. He gave us plenty of time and took orders for apps and dinner. Service was excellent. Everyone's dinner was great, perfectly portioned and seasoned and hot when plates arrived at the table. I see reviews that dishes were over-salted, but this was not our experience. For people who use no salt, we would be particularly sensitive to over-salting. Every restaurant has an occasional hiccup or bad day, but we have never experienced one at Drapers. Consider all of the reviews and go try Drapers for yourself. Try the happy hour and bar food. For the happy hour prices, you can't beat it.

Went there to celebrate an anniversary. Sat down and ordered wine (which was decent) and bread (which cost $6 for average bread). We tried to order but then the waiter informed us they were out of all steak and seafood--literally all of it. We opted to find food elsewhere (would highly recommend One Bar and Grill, 2 minute walk down the street). We were really disappointed in Draper’s overall—especially in the fact that they didn't inform us of their serious shortages before we sat down and spent a significant amount of money, and then offered no refund or compensation for a future visit. I definitely expected better given the cost/caliber of this restaurant.

In all fairness, I only ordered the crab cake sandwich, but I still wasn’t impressed by this place. For the price, the quality of the food wasn’t a match. Yellow mustard on the crab cake sandwich? Why?? Service was good - no complaints. Also, not sure I understand how they were “out” of Diet Coke…

Everything and everyone were wonderful But if I may suggest more gluten free options I know I can always order salad but salad gets pretty boring when everyone else at the table are enjoying real food. If Oh George can do it I hope Drapers can follow (same company?). They have gluten free calamari (!)—delish!

The burgers and steaks looked great. BUT, the seafood (fish) was very small for the price. We got the Mahi Mahi and it was only one fillet that was 4" of the tail area/ 1/4" thk. It was good - everything was good - but that's ridiculous for the price and left you wanting more.

We arrived for our reservation and were told we had none. I showed the hostess, the confirmation from OpenTable, and she neither apologized for not having the reservation, but made excuses for it. She was curt and begrudgingly seated us. Draper’s Restaurant is always great and we had a nice brunch despite the awkward beginning to our reservation Can OpenTable explain why there was no reservation when we had a confirmation of one?

Terrible father’s day experience. I don’t recommend this place if you want prompt service. I can’t even describe it well enough but made an 11:15 reservation and we exited at 1:00, with most of it just sitting and waiting. When we walked in, we waited at the hostess stand to be sat - I chalked it up to maybe the server was late for work and that was fine. We sat down and waited before someone came over to get our drink order - we waited so long the ice had melted in our drinks. The drinks took a bit, even though the bartender didn’t look swamped (we looked over a few times to see if our drinks were there, but they weren’t and he was cleaning glasses). Then we waited after we ordered - this was the longest wait. The food was good but not good enough to wait over an hour for, especially at those prices. I was really disappointed- we aren’t hard to please, and we don’t mind waiting, but this was ridiculous. We understand that sometimes circumstances are beyond your control, but there wasn’t even a manager that came around to check. We won’t be returning to this establishment.

I had a very good experience at Drapers. Service was great, cocktails were awesome, and the atmosphere was super. The food was good but not great. I eat at a lot of steak houses and cook them quite a bit for myself and they were decent steaks but certainly not for the price point for almost $50 for their higher end steaks. Even though the steaks were cooked to our order perfectly the texture and chewiness felt more like an outback steak house quality. Still decent, but not worth $50. Overall I’d definitely go back for cocktails or a lunch/brunch but not for the dinner entrees.

Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. She enhanced the occasion by adding a candle to dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday. The filet mignon & chocolate torte were delicious. We sat near the bar area, which was very loud until happy hour ended at 7 pm. Our meal was wonderful, but we had hoped for a bit more variety in the grill choices, since we do not eat seafood. We will recommend Drapers to others.
