Food was great but service from first arrival was horrendous. Reservation clearly stated that I had 2 toddlers and a baby in my party and were given bar height table. Wouldn’t have been an issue until they said they would stack 2 high chairs together to accommodate the 2 toddlers and push 2 bar seat stools so I could put my bucket with my 5 month old on the seat. This is completely unacceptable. This reservation was made over a month ago which should have been ample time for them to accommodate. Next to ZERO effort was made to move us to a table with bench seating. The entire meal was filled with stress and what ifs and completely unenjoyable. Looking around there were at least 3 tables that were all adults and it would have been a simple swap. This was suppose to be a fun, entertaining birthday brunch with friends that immediately turned into a horrifying experience of potential injury to my own and my friends child. The manager only engaged in conversation after I approached to asked for alternate arrangements. I stressed my concern for safety and for the entire 2 hours that I was there, not once did she come to check up or show any gesture of apology for putting my kids and my friends kid at risk of injury.

Enjoyed the meal. Did not appreciate being seated in the worst table for two in the upper corner - when two other tables were available on the floor by the window.

We had high expectations for the Drake as we’ve eaten at other Drake restaurants in the city. Unfortunately we were let down here. The tone was set when they were out of multiple things on the menu, with a small menu to begin with. The food is disappointing for the price, tasteless and poor quality and the service was not attentive we felt we had to keep asking for things. Ambience is great but spend your money elsewhere it’s not worth it.

We went for a business anniversary lunch and enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine, each a beet salad, each a main course (mushroom pasta and grain bowl) and each a dessert. All dishes tasted very delicious, the wine was properly chilled, our waitress Paloma was very attentive.
And not to forget the lakeview.

Really Noisy--spoilt an otherwise nice place. Far too expensive for what you get.

We had a TERRIBLE experience here. On the positive side, the service was outstanding. The atmosphere is polished and sophisticated - quite ex-urban, but not really consistent with the region (which is the attraction). The place was very quiet (time of year, and time of week). We started with the meatballs - which were nothing special, in a sauce that was more tomato paste than anything else (2/5). We had the lamb shank as a main course. It was inedible (0/5) - hard to find the meat and even harder to get the bone to give it up This is not hard. Even I can make lamb shank. We sent it back (and NEVER do that). We got the Bolognese as a second try. But the noodles were badly over-cooked an mushy (1/5). We were offered complementary dessert (declined because ... so what) and, ultimately, a complimentary return meal (except that we live a two hour drive away). Our lamb experience was blamed on a "bad batch", but overall we would have to conclude that this place is NOT about the food.

It's the happening place in PEC. But food-wise it's not worth the meal. If you are in PEC for a few meals go elsewhere if you want a culinary experience. There are 10 better places for that. The Drake is beautiful, the patrons are beautiful, the drinks are imaginative, but the food is meh.

From booking to sharing some specific requirements for our visit, to settling the tab, the level of customer service I received from the Drake was world class!

Thank you Drake team for making my father's 85th birthday special, memorable, delicious and fun!

Well done!

Food was amazing and the service was impeccable! Went to celebrate a friends birthday and was greeted with 2 flutes of pink champagne (i think, can’t quite remember the drink). It just made it more special and was soooo appreciated 😊

The food was good, well prepared and presented, but similar to that found at any good restaurant; did not compare to a meal we had had at a different establishment the evening before.
There were a couple of snafus: the wine I requested on the recommendation of our server was out of stock; our appetizer order was not served.
Our server was pleasant and cheerful; the location/view lovely; the music a little too loud for my taste, but it did mean we could not hearing neighbouring conversations.
Nothing really bad to say, but not truly special or different either.

The food was disgusting. The Caesar salad was so over dressed it was a soup and had cold corn in it. It was shocking.

The French Onion Soup was very good, would have enjoyed a bit more cheese. We ordered the Striploin and were surprised it was a little tough at one end and lacked seasoning. The Double Chocolate Cheesecake was delicious.
The service was excellent, the view outstanding, will definitely go back to try other menu items.

The Drake recently acquired a new chef and their 'game' has improved considerably. Three diners. Three different meals. We're locals and we've patronized The Drake from the time it first opened. To be frank, they seemed to have lost their way for a while. Food was expensive and not well prepared. Service was spotty. Our recent experience proved to be wonderful. Food was excellent. Server was superb. Our faith has been restored! Bravo!
