Thank you so much for an incredible dining experience for my birthday. Everything was perfect, and the service could not have been lovelier. See you again very soon!
Thrilled to have Doppio in the Hayes Valley! You can get pizza or broccoli and everything in between. The cocktails are indulgent
This place is wonderful! Everything was so delicious and the vibe was perfect!
Our first time eating out in SF since last year. A busy & friendly vibe. Good service staff, fairly standard menu with a focus on pizza- food was good, not great. Easy, casual dining inside & out in a great location. Hayes St is closed to traffic Friday- Sun which makes for a nice open strolling scene.
LOVE THE MENU! ATMOSPHERE NOTHING TO SHOUT ABOUT AS IT IS NOISY.
FUN TO HAVE GUESTS ORDER SHARE PLATES AND ENJOY SO MANY DELICIOUS COOKED TO ORDER DISHES. THE PIZZA FORMAGGI WAS TO DIE FOR.
Tried it for the first time based on reviews. The service was absolutely amazing but cleanliness wasn’t unfortunately. Once my sister and I saw floaties in our water, our appetites diminished. Also, maybe i’m just basic, but I feel like its weird for a Italian spot not to have garlic bread or for any restaurant not to have a non-alcoholic drink menu then charge full price for a non-alcoholic version of a cocktail. If I was looking to drink though, it looks like a good wine spot.
Great pizza, I highly recommend the Doppio Zero one with burrata and prosciutto!
The food was fantastic. Great flavor and quality at a fair price. Service and ambiance was good. Nothing above and beyond, but exactly what was needed and expected. I would highly recommend trying out Doppio Zero. You will not be disappointed!
Love what Doppio's done with the old Delle Stelle space. Great pizzas, fast kitchen. We had a newbie waiter this time, who was charming though not super efficient. Still an excellent experience and a fantastic location.
Wonderful little place! Would love to return to have more of those heavenly raviolis. We received the most attentive and courteous service despite it being a busy time- lunch. The pizza was indeed authentic, and they have a great wine list. I would recommend it to anyone looking for good value near the Civic Center area.
Very good food and service. A tad noisy bun not so bad that you couldn’t hold a conversation.
Such amazing food. I won't recommend anything in particular, because I just want to go back and try more things. I am usually sensitive to gluten, but I ate the lasagne, squid ink pasta, and their homemade limoncello cake with no problems! I am NOT saying that if you are celiac you should risk it, but if you are like me and just sensitive to gluten, you might want to give it a try. Their quality is top notch.
Great place for lunch. Excellent Italian food and wine
This place has some excellent appetizers and salads. The pizza is really great. Loved the Doppio Zero pizza more than the Margherita pizza. The wine list is impressive and desserts were tasty.
We were warmly greeted with the birthday celebration noted. The service was attentive and cordial. The availability of gluten free pastas for their delicious ragu was a big plus. We were a little surprised that nothing further was made of the birthday such as comped desserts.
Delicious pasta. Fun recipes. Good drinks. Yummy panna cota.
Our server was a wonderful woman who made us feel very taken care of and loved. The food was delightful and arrived so fast from beginning to end! Loved the negroni so much I had two.
Before Symph. Waitress very sympatica.
Very good experience at Doppio Zero. The salad and bread basket were very good, the pastas were great - the squid and the spinach ravioli. Service was very good.
Last minute dinner following the Van Gogh exhibit nearby. It was perfect. Delightful staff. Excellent food and drinks. Plenty of leftovers for a second meal the following day. Very good value. Our whole family loved it!
Service was fab! Food was authentic and fresh with a great great wine list. Highly recommend!
Enjoy great Italuan food at Doppio Zero. There is nothing zero about this place. It is a 10!
the music was way too loud for 5:30 on a wednesday. The food was average. The bathrooms were dirty.
Great food and pacing, excellent service - just the right amount. The two pasta dishes were really wonderful; deep and mellow sauces. Enjoyed each bite to the fullest!
We came back after the concert and bought a tiramisu to have at home; were a bit disappointed because it was mostly whipping cream, not enough cake.
From the moment my sister and I arrived we were totally looked after! Jesus was our server...he was so wonderful. Very attentive yet never overbearing. My sis had a Doppio Zero cocktail and I had the Doppio Negroni N.2 both were delicious. We shared the meatballs, the heirloom tomato caprese, and the Trecciolna salad with shrimp plus a glass each of the Sangiovese. Everything was really yummy!
Our dinner was absolutely wonderful, and we all loved every bite. My husband and I had pastas ( He had Il Ragu, and I had Garganelli, which was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, even in Italy! ) split the Trecciolina Salad ( excellent ), and our friends split the Doppio Zero pizza, which they loved, and the same salad. The table also enjoyed an order of the Brussels Sprouts, which were to die for. Everything was fantastic, and the service was very friendly and efficient. We were outside near the street because of the pandemic, so it was noisy, and the ambiance could have been nicer, but that's to be expected because of Covid and not the restaurant's fault. We live in Palo Alto, so we're eager to try the Doppio Zero in nearby Mountain View. Bravo!
I really want to love Doppio Zero -- but I've been there twice in the past 2 months and the food isn't as impressive as I want it to be. Service is fabulous, simple pizzas are very good, but I've tried 3 of the pasta dishes and all of them have been under-seasoned and leaves me not wanting to go back. Pasta itself is tasty but the preparation is fair. Maybe they're working out the kinks? I will say it's not super expensive, so you're not paying an arm and a leg for a dinner for four.
Wonderful happy hour menu and excellent service from the front of the house to the servers. Enjoyed the handcrafted drinks, small pizzas, calamari, and thinly cut french fries. Sat outside (the only downside is the cleanliness of the outdoor spaces). Cant wait to come back and try the full menu
Great food and great staff!!
Amazing food and great service. Highly reccomend. the pizza was fantastic and the outdoor seating was perfect.
It's so hard for these restaurantuers to serve and balance the restrictions and still provide the service and food they normally would. We had a fine meal and we, like they, just want to get back to things as normal.
This is my 2nd time coming here and the food is delicious. My day didn't start off good but ending great after visiting here. My friends and I started with appetizers we had the olive plate, crotchet and bread. I had the Delizia with chicken and it was the perfect size entree. We also had drinks I can't remember the name of the drink sort of a peachy color but very good!
Amazing food and service! The salad was so fresh, tasty cocktails, and literally the tastiest spaghetti sauce I think I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
Service was great. I had the steak which wasn’t the best. There was a very loud aggressive dog at the table next to us outside which was a bit off putting. Maybe don’t allow dogs? Or definitely not ones that are barking aggressively at the servers and other customers. Overall had a great time and would return
Awful. Several courses were cold. Told the server and got attitude as a response. Will not return.
Good food in Hayes Valley. Great Pasta and Pizza. Worth checking out.
Food and drinks were great! Great service!
Wait staff was very accommodating.
The food was delicious, nicely presented and very well priced. The service was poor. It’s just a couple of weeks since restaurants have been open for inside dining so I’d like to give them a pass on this. The waiter could not get our order right and seemed mystified even though we were ordering off the SF restaurant week menu! That being said we will be going back there again in the future.
