   This was our first time dining at the restaurant. And we look forward to returning. Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I would agree with previous reviews that the portion sizes are not really sharing/ family size. The food itself made up for the portion size. Fresh ingredients , wonderful flavor and pasta cooked properly. My only criticism would be the lack of selection of wine offered by the glass

   Top five meals I've had in Calgary. Started with a couple cocktails and then shared 4 dishes. Whipped Ricotta with their amazing bread, Polpo (octopus), Special Sablefish, and the Gnocchi. Every dish was phenomenal. The Gnocchi was the best I've ever had... and that Sablefish (sous vide with fries asparagus) was 100% the best fish dish I've had in Alberta! Ended with the Lemon Tarte.

   The food is fantastic and it is matched by amazing service. The party before us took longer than that restaurant anticipated so they gave us a complimentary glass of bubbles. Their staff member Zach made our night, his service and kindness was UNMATCHED!! Will definitely be back

   One of the best dining experiences I've had in Calgary. The staff are wonderful, knowledgable and friendly. The food is excellent. It's a little noisy, but that's a minor quibble. I will definitely come back for more.

   I was expecting more since it was listed in the top 100 of Canada. Service was ok and food not much better. There was a 2 hour limit which they kept you aware of. Was going to order another glass of wine and was told I had 11 minutes left on our reservation. I will not return.

   This was second time at DOPO, we were huge fans of DOP, and DOPO doesn't disappoint! Amazing food, great wine and wonderful service!

    Mixed feelings about Dopo. Got a last minute reservation by chance for a group of 5. The service was attentive and solid. The food tasty but the portions are definitely on the smaller side. We should have ordered much more as we tried to eat 'family style' and their portions are not designed for that. We ordered the Whipped Ricotta, green tomatoes and fried bread - had to order 3 items to get this and I believe we each had 1-2 bites. Not great. The Pasta course was good - the gnocchi was decent - not the best I have had. We had one other pasta - also just okay and definately the portion was built for two - not five. For a secondi, we had the feature scallops with artichokes which was Excellent - but also - built for two - or even one person. So much beautiful sauce was left on the plate as there was no bread for soaking it up to be found. For dessert (the highlight of the night) - we enjoyed the light and delicious tiramisu and the lemon torta. I would recommend this place for an intimate dinner for two in a Euro-style rustic atmosphere. or a night on the company expense account where you could enjoy all four courses and not be concerned about the bill. Not the best Italian I have had in Calgary (or elsewhere) but not bad.
