   The ambiance, food, and service at Domenica are great! It is inside The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, which is a gorgeous hotel.

   Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The Affettati Misti was the perfect starting course, and everyone loved it. The chicken liver pate was a bit rich for my taste, but was still a wonderful addition. Drinks were all fantastic, and the Tagliata they dry age in house was phenomenal. Only issue we ran into was the first Tagliata coming out overcooked, but the staff quickly remedied the situation and brought out a perfectly cooked replacement, as well as giving our table a round of drinks on the house (we checked down to server suggestion and ended up with the IL Bruno, which was fantastic). Would definitely visit again next time I'm in NOLA.

    My husband ordered a bottle of wine. Only to be disappointed to find out that it would finally take 3 choices to finally get a bottle of wine. Poor stocked wine list. Why do you bother, if you are not going to keep it updated. Then just sell what is available.

    If you’re staying at the hotel for a conference and need a place to go for nice-ish dinner with a large party, this is your spot. If you want a romantic Italian date spot, this is absolutely the wrong spot. It’s the kind of place where they serve a mixed green salad and the greens are all frisée. Our fish dish was good. The pasta looked good. This is not an italian restaurant, it is an Italian-American restaurant that commits the kind of food offenses that drive Italians mad when done in their name. The servers don’t understand the difference which led them to say some straight up offensive lecturing things to my GF, who they did not realize is from Rome. It’s quite loud, which made sense because almost every table was a party of 6 or more.

    We were looking forward to this based on other reviews but were sadly very disappointed. The first round of drinks ordered were made completely wrong, so we ordered an espresso martini instead…. this was the worst espresso martini I have ever had. It tasted like watered down coffee and I don’t think it had any alcohol in it. The initial drinks also took at least 15 minutes to arrive to the table after being ordered. Once the food came, it was nothing short of mediocre. The pasta tasted bland and is not worth the money. Overall a 2 star experience

    My first time visiting Domenica and I enjoyed myself. Ordered the meatballs, Brussels sprouts some cocktails and then pasta. The Brussels sprouts were 10/10. I enjoyed the pasta with shrimp, I would have just preferred my pasta be a little more Al Dente

    My chicken liver pate had no moscato gele on it. The bread that came with it was hot and made the pate melt instantly destroyed the aroma and flavor. The Tagliatelle pasta was undercooked, and the tiny amount of mushrooms were not porcini. If they were porcini, they tasted like they came from an old tin can. When this place opened it was a gem! It makes me sad to see another great New Orleans restaurant go down the tube. 😔

    Could not have asked for better time for dinner on Mother’s Day. Our reservation were ready when we walked in. All of the staff members were very friendly and our waiter Matt was on top of his game even though they were very busy. They accommodated the needs of my very picky daughter and made us feel very welcomed. It was a wonderful night with my fam.

    The meal was very good! Pizza was on point as usual. The cauliflower appetizer could have been excellent but it was over salted. The whipped feta was excellent though. We missed the beet salad….they took it off the menu just before dinner service. Overall it was a nice dinner.

    My wife and I celebrated my special birthday at this restaurant, which we had been to several times. We started as usual with the roasted cauliflower and the spli a pizza and a smaller pasta serving with meatball,. That was plenty to eat and we are hearty eaters. The service was perfect.     Domenica is unlike most Italian restaurants one might venture into. The meats that they cure in house, the baked cauliflower they soak overnight in whatever it is before they cook it and make it look like bread…having lived in New Orleans for 5 or so year, and traveled back for many years since, I always go to Domenica’s when I visit New Orleans. Very high quality food, that’s just a little different than other Italian restaurants (outside of Italy).

    We had an OK visit. The hostess was lovely and apologized for not being able to seat us immediately. When we did sit, it took our server quite a while to greet us. We ordered drinks which did not arrive so timely and without the server using a tray so half of the drinks had spilled out of the glass by the time she arrived at the table. I ordered a vodka martini dry and it had so much sweet vermouth that it was undrinkable. We ordered a fish dish, the meatballs and rigatoni for our main dishes. Overall the food was ok - not stellar - the service was bleh.

    Absolutely delicious. This is my second time dining here. Just found out about their amazing happy hour, half of pizzas and Wine. I love the fact that if you can’t decide between two pizzas, they’ll split the pizza half and half so you could try both!

    Things seemed a little chaotic, sometimes slow sometimes not. However our server was both helpful and entertaining which helped us take it in stride. And the food was excellent. The salumi and cheese were high quality, the wine was good and the pasta were superb: house made, al dente with delicious sauces. Very enjoyable experience.
