What a great place to have a great meal! My kids said this is their favorite restaurant in Pittsboro. Tip: get the fish and chips! It was crispy and light and airy, and seriously some of the best fish and chips we have ever tried! We loved the look and feel of the downstairs area as well, and our server was the sweetest and even gave us a complimentary dessert! (That chocolate mousse is what dreams are made of!)

Wonderful outdoor seating. Great food as well. We had the salmon salad and and a burger and sweet potato fries.

I give them five stars for their food and service - both were excellent. One of the people in our party uses a wheelchair. Doherty’s was happy to accommodate us and we were comfortable. But it would have been tight if they’d been really busy. The noise level is definitely “energetic”. I would caution that with hearing aides, the background noise made participating in conversations very difficult. But still, if you’re looking for great food and friendly , knowledgeable staff, Doherty’s is great.

Perfectly cooked fish and chips enjoyed with a beer in the balcony. Very pleasant evening. Definitely will return.

Always a great place to dine. All staff members are polite and pleasant. Although our meals were delayed, we were compensated for the inconvenience.

Great service! Food was delicious. Server was attentive even with the other tables that were keeping her busy. This was my third visit. I don’t live in the area but now want to eat here whenever I visit my son. LOVE the Brussel sprouts!
