Divino - Brentwood
The intimate family setting combined with the professional service just add to the fact that DIVINO is a little culinary diamond in the rough.

Excellent food, warm, friendly ambience, crowded and a bit noisy at 8PM on a Saturday night but welcoming and fun so it was soon so easy to blend into the whole scene with comfort. And, a very special compliment goes to our Server, Tanino, who was wonderful: so professional, friendly and competent. He made us feel right at home. And, also our compliments to the Chef: all four of us loved our appetizers and main courses.
The entire dining experience was a total pleasure. We live in the neighborhood and were happy to re-discover Divino. We will be back soon!
food was delicious. paparadelle with short rib is amazing. The waiter has found his calling....soo good at his job
Wonderful! Everything was delicious, and we had great service. Highly recommended.
Four of us met at Divino for dinner. Initially we were made welcome, but then everything happened so slow. Perhaps our lively conversation was being respected but when we wanted attention, we had to signal for it. It was chilly as the front door leaked the cold in from outside, and the tables we pre3tty close - one of my companions was frequently bumped from the table behind him. We started with a salad, which was unremarkable, and followed with lamb chops which were more fatty than I would have expected. A friend had the gnocchi which she liked. But I had a taste and didn't find it interesting at all. She only ate half. Worst was the service. about the only person who paid us any mind was the busboy, probably because he had to pass our table frequently. We won't be back.
Do not book via Open Table. They will not honor your reservation. We booked 45 minutes in advance for Christmas Eve dinner. There were at least 10 open tables in a mostly empty restaurant. The hostess after giving us attitude told us, “You booked 5 minutes ago.” She comes back after another 15 minutes and says, “we only have one table outside.” It was 57 degrees outside and my parents are incredibly sensitive to the cold. We then looked around and noticed we were the only Asian family here. Guess we didn’t match the right color of the spectrum.
No lettuce on a Saturday night! Food was very expensive. Soup was lukewarm.
Great ambiance. Bad food.
Been coming here for years as it was always great and the service was professional. But last night it was disappointing from the moment we arrived. In spite of a reservation we were not seated for 30 minutes with no apology or acknowledgement. All we could do was stand in the doorway as there is no waiting area. Once seated it was another long wait to order and we sat there with just water that a busboy brought. The food was good when it finally arrived and then we had to ask for bread twice. Just bad service from start to finish so I hope it was just an aberration.
Goran has created an amazing restaurant. Food is always outstanding and the service is superb. It is like eating in his home.
Excellent restaurant with an Italian flare. Family owned and operated by a superb chef.
Food is consistently good -- the pappardelle with brisket ragu is outstanding and hard to order anything else. Very welcoming from the time you walk through the door.
It was a perfect spot to catch up with a friend for good conversation and a leisurely dinner. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We had the minestrone, burrata salad, crab spaghetti and shared a “brûlée” for dessert. Definitely worth checking out!
Divino consistently delivers top quality dining at moderate prices
The food was delicious, but the service not so much. I know very well the difference between rare, medium-rare, medium , etc. when it comes to steaks. I cook a lot of them, big thick ones, and do a really good job at it. When a steak that was ordered medium-rare comes to the table absolutely raw and very cool to the touch inside, it is underdone not medium-rare. The right thing to do when a patron points it out to the manager is not for the manager to argue "That's medium rare sir", but instead should take the steak back and cook it longer. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The other issue was that long after we had finished eating, the check had still not come. When I finally asked politely for it, I got attitude. Maybe that is how things are in Brentwood now. It's been years since I lived there. I know one place I'm not going back to anytime soon however.
This restaurant is a nice neighborhood gem. The owner always makes sure he checks on his customers and the waiters are excellent. The food is very tasty and the wine list is good. I would definitely recommend Divino. Linda Lally
We enjoyed the best corner table; the best service by Tanino (a new-ish waiter); and excellent food and ambiance.
Amazing, wonderful, never disappoints. Food, service, ambience, friendly/elegant service. A true gem
Love this place....
Wonderful place. I mentioned that I am a piscaterian and the waiter came back with 4 more off the menu options for me. The food was spectacular. Highly recommended.
Neighborhood Gem to say the least!
Highly recommended to all the foodies out there!
Consistently good quality food and service; wonderful ambiance and creative menu
The food was good but expensive. It was noisy. There are so many good Italian restaurants in Brentwood, this place has no real reason for being.
What a delightful restaurant! The food is delicious!!
Kind waitstaff. Nice wine. Mediocre pizza. Mediocre beet salad.
My new favorite for Italian food in LA...the 40 minute drive from Glendale wouldn't keep me from coming again!
Sensational! A must visit.
The owner, his wife and the staff that served us could not be more charming, considerate, kind and authentic. You can always tell when someone loves what they do; it just shows.
Wish I had discovered this gem sooner.
Thank you for an outstanding evening with exceptional food.
Always excellent. Intimate atmosphere, cordial and professional staff, delicious food.
Everything was good about Divino except one- the food. Tried three different entrees - all were devoid of taste. Furthermore, all of the seafood tasted frozen.
Cute place. Food was good. Wines by the glass were small and overpriced. Service was horrible! Waiters were inattentive, and left us sitting for long periods (at 1/2 hour intervals) before they came back around to check if we needed anything. Had to flag them down for water, check, etc.. On top of which, they were all quite snobby! Would not recommend this place if you want to relax, enjoy your friends, the food, and know you’ll be taken care of. Go somewhere who knows what good customer service looks like and is happy to have you!!!
Wonderful food and nice people
Terrible experiencr. Our waitress was incredibly rude to us. When she brought my salad with bell peppers, I explained kindly that I am very allergic and can’t have bell
Peppers. (It wasn’t listed on the menu.) I had a feeling she just picked them off but I decided (naively) to just go with it. I am now so sick and it will take me at least five days to recover.
This restaurant is always excellent. Goran and his staff do a great job.
A Brentwood Gem...I don’t live anywhere near this place but would make the trip again!
a gem! wonderful service...fine food. goran...the owner welcomes
each diner with genuine warmth. there was no way to improve on
our meal...the pasta..perfect. the bronzino, a gift from the sea...grilled
to perfection. and the ram’s gate chardonnay also gets five stars...even
more if five wasn’t the maximum rating.
There is just one word for this restaurant: DIVINE! It is a small and cozy Italian restaurant in one of the most charming places in Brentwood--the old "Brentwood Circle" group of shops and restaurants, that has been there since the 1940s. The Italian menu is delicious and adventurous, and very authentic. We loved our dinner and will recommend to friends!
Excellent service and live the food. Cooked to perfection.
Love meeting my family there. Excellent food and service.
This is a neighborhood gem and we have had only great experiences here. Small, quiet, able to have a conversation here, which is becoming rare. Goran, the host/owner, is a wonderful presence overseeing the room and guests. If I had one suggestion, it would be to put another salad on the antipasti menu for those of us looking for a lighter, fresh started. Would love it if they had a Caesar. They used to have a spinach salad that was lovely.
Fantastic food and service top to bottom 5/5
The food is good and with consistent quality. The service is very good and friendly. It is a neighborhood gem!
