About
I always enjoy the meatloaf. Staff always friendly!
Always enjoy dinner. Everything was amazing
Every time I come back to DC for business I make sure to stop by at the ChopHouse. The food is always excellent and the customer service is wonderful.
Extraordinary value for DC. Great atmosphere.
Our waitress Rachel was great. I had filet that was delicious and my husband had the salmon. He loved it. Special dessert for birthday wasleerfect
The steak was amazing! I’ve been to this restaurant several times and have had great service each time. This is a great restaurant to take out-of-towers to since it’s the oldest brewery in DC, and is also a good place to visit during DC Restaurant Week. The noise level depends on where you sit — it’s definitely louder in the booths along the back row as the kitchen is right behind them.
The food and experience was rather disappointing. My friend ordered a lobster tail, which was significantly over salted and cold. She noted as much to the server. He did not offer to replace it nor comp her for such poor food that she did not eat. Disappointing.
Went for my birthday! The mashed potatoes i would never order again! They definitely had a box taste to them and my filet was switched with another one so It wasn’t the right temperature. Other than that other friends thoroughly enjoyed their food and the drinks were good! Service was good and when running late they nicely accepted my reservation change. Wouldn’t be the first place I run to next time.
Prime rib was very good. Medium rare. Small cut was fine. Very moist. I endorse. Pinot complemented very well. My friend enjoyed his filet. Made for an excellent meal.
We were there during Happy Hour and the noise from the bar spilled over the entire room. We both ordered the steak salad which was generous and excellent. Ellen's piece of carrot cake could have fed the whole family -- we split the rest of it the next night after dinner.
Great food. Good service. Good value.
My husband and i visited your restaurant at 7pm with our 6 year old daughter. Staff greeted is with smiles, accommodated our daughters request for chocolate milk in a 'take home cup" and we're timely in our requests.
Food was ok. Calamari was chewy and apps were cold when brought to the table. I’ve had much better calamari. Service was very friendly but slow. Corn bread was good as were cocktails and wine. Filet was cooked as ordered.
My favorite thing about this place was the ambiance - we were there to celebrate, and it was perfect. Felt private, but not overly cozy. Loved the appetizers, we got the caprese tots (so good, and so creative, also filling!) and the carpaccio. For main course, the bone-in ribeye was fantastic (I hear). I got the NY strip, which was just ok. It was a little tough, and had more fatty parts than I was expecting. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive, and gave great wine recommendations! I would definitely go back, and just maybe order a different steak :)
Always enjoyable
Great food and wonderful service! Little loud and very crowded, but the great food was well worth it.
A perfect outing for our occasional get-together of friends!
Beer was excellent, steaks were outstanding, and the whole service staff were super! Look forward to another visit...
Retirement luncheon
Order the Halibut, it's the best item on the menu, if you like fish....
We were there before a Caps game, so it was pretty loud and service was a little slow. This is our go to place to eat before the game.
TJ was our server and he did a great job considering the large crowd.
From start to finish, our experience here was wonderful. Service was very attentive, music was great, everything was clean, the food was fantastic. It was the perfect date night and we’re already planning on going back!
Good cornbread and Arnold Palmers.
Normally the service is great. This time a little pushy. Also two of the ppl at our table were many many years sober and two of us weren’t. They asked over and over if those two wanted alcoholic beverages. We didn’t mind, but other ppl may have. No means no every time you ask lol. Steaks were cooked PERFECT. We will be back.
It was fabulous! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. Well worth the price.
Great brunch value and selection. Good service. Not pushy .
Fantastic service, fantastic food. Always a pleasure to visit.
District Chophouse is a decent restaurant. The steak was pretty good and the chocolate mousse cake was definitely good. The lobster was very fishy smelling and flavorless. The garden mule drink was awful. The Ceaser salad was just okay.
Can’t say more great things about this restaurant.
Service is always beyond great. The manager goes above and beyond each time we come. Such a great guy! Steaks delicious and cooked perfectly. Boyfriend’s cowboy steak was a bit under done but considering the cut.... the manager and waitress offered to cook more but he was fine with it. Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs and leftovers are always taken home. Corn bread on point as well as the onion ring tower. Definitely recommend for everyday dining , a special occasion or date night. They also have a children’s menu which is also wonderful. Thanks again for another delicious meal and dining experience
The service was great (thanks Rachel from New Mexico) and the ambiance superb as always. As for the food, the steak, lobster, and sides were all outstanding, but two of us ordered tenderloin tips and reported that the meat was okay and did not meet their high quality and tenderness expectations.
Service was good. We had tickets at 7:30 for an event and the waiter was very attentive in serving us in a timely fashion without a feeling of being rushed. Nice touch by the manager who came over and checked that all was good. We engaged him on the restaurant's history - the manager was very knowledgeable and quite pleasant.
The waitress seemed not pleased to be dealing with my large party. Everyone in my party was aware of this and it made things uncomfortable.
Good service, we were seated quickly for Friday night. The food was good one of our steaks was medium rare and was severely undercooked. I would still go back
It was the first time for this location. It has very unique decor with the old style steak house look. It was very easy to find and there are several parking garages close by. The food was very good. The service/server did a good job help us with whatever adjustments we need with our meal and offered some great suggestion with specials. I would suggest this place to family and friends.
Real busy on game night. Meal was served a little cool. Staff was working very hard and were very plesant
AMAZING food.
The $19 prefix lunch is a great deal. The Arnold Palmers and cornbread were terrific.
Seriously one of the best meals my friends and I have ever had. We were seated quickly, and our server Curtis was PHENOMENAL. One of the kindest wait staff I've ever met. He could try to sell me just about anything and I'd do it in a heartbeat. The food came out perfectly timed, looked beautiful, and tasted equally as good. One of my friends cried because of how delicious his meal was. All I can say is that I can't reccomend this restaurant enough. Absolutely fabulous and will be returning!
