Three of us went to dinner wanting a low key, relatively inexpensive meal. To be honest, we got what we were looking for. The menu has decent variety, but the meals we had didn't meet expectations. Frankly, the one dish we all really enjoyed was the artichoke spinach dip appetizer with naan chips (we could have eaten a bucketful if we had the chance). I had the blackened redfish piccata - the fish was fine, though not as seasoned as I would have liked. The pasta was very bland - I ended up eating less than half of it. My wife had the parmesan crusted chicken on linguine - unfortunately, she had ordered the sandwich version, but the server had entered it in wrong. She, too, though her pasta was bland and ate even less than I had. Our daughter had the pesto chicken naan pizza, which she enjoyed. I was not aware that they did not have a full bar, but my vodka lemonade was very good, and the ladies were satisfied with their wine. We did share the creme brulee, which was exceptional. So in summary - some hits, some misses, but satisfactory for the price. We'll try again if we're in the area, but it certainly won't be a destination restaurant for us.
Great from the time I stepped in and once I left. Will become a regular😊
A very nice surprise! The location was a little questionable and when we arrived there were only a few cars in the lot, which made us hesitate. However, as the evening went on more customers arrived. The food and service was great and good sized menu with a broad range of choices. I would definitely return.
Excellent waiter. Good food. Reasonable price.
A real gem I found it to be a romantic spot for my date & I
We ate here last Saturday before going to the symphony. It was our first time and we all very impressed by the food, which was universally delicious and generous, as well as very reasonably priced. None of our entrees were more than $20, and everyone had food left over. I had the Osso bucco which was fall-off-the-bone tender and absolutely delicious. The panko shrimp appetizer was perfect. The crab cake was sort of take-it-or-leave-it, but we ate the whole thing. I think the only complaint I could come up with is the size of the tables inside, which are pretty small. But that's nitpicking. We will certainly come back here.
One of my favorite spots in MidTown. I don’t know how more people don’t know about it, but [selfishly] I’m glad they don’t. #OSSOBUCO
I took my Fiancé for his birthday, we had a pizza, burger and the spinach dip. Everything was delicious and our waiter was extremely nice! I definitely will be back.
Was a great dining experience. My steak was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed her Turkey meatloaf lasagna also. And the dessert we shared was a great end to the dinner.
Good food and service
Great innovative burgers and other dishes at good prices. Good wines, and BYOB if you want. Nice spot to eat outside on warm evenings.
It was an OK meal with good service. I had their paella which was ok. The shellfish were a few days past their prime and that was disappointing. The wine was chill nicely and the value per dollar was good. I would go back.
The food was great and the service was also. The steak and philly steak sandwich. All of it was delicious. It was not crowded (6:00 on a Thursday) and we ate outside.
Had a Sunday brunch with my daughter. Food was very good. Cool little diner atmosphere. Nice patio out front.
Cute Little Spot! With a lot of emphasis on little. The food was good, service was good and the portions were impressive; however, the interior is quite small and can get very crowded. The outdoor seating area is very ample, but the heat and the humidity would not allow us (Group of 5) to partake.
Great place to hang out whether you're look for a good meal, or a delicious dessert and cup of coffee. We really enjoyed the old diner feel...Worth the stop in Mid-Town
This restaurant was very dirty. There were flies all over and the windows had not been cleaned in a long time. The salad I had was good but not worth the money. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Only good things to say about this restaurant. Good food, creative dishes, friendly wait staff, and a reasonable price. We shared a small plate, had our entrees, and barely had room to share a slice of delicious cake. Would definitely go again.
Every time we come here, the food and service is always great. They have a big variety to satisfy anyone's taste
The menu sounded great, but the food wasn't as good as it sounded on paper. The burgers were a bit overcooked and dry, although the steak fries were delicious. Our friends' salads looked pretty good as well and they had no complaints. We wish they had made their own ranch dressing - the thick, sweet, clearly purchased dressing they gave us sort of cheapened the experience.
We love this place. Great food awesome serves. It's very consistent. This is one of our go to place
We were in town for the Super Bowl and looking for a place to eat that was casual, after having spent the day in pre-game festivities. It is away from the activity around Minute Maid Park, where the NFL experience was taking place.
Given that it was Super Bowl weekend, I would have expected it to be a little busier, but located away from the hub of this are of Houston.
Food was decent and the service was good.
Wait Staff were awesome. We had come in for the Super Bowl and they were so hospitable. Food was delicious and they were ready to answer any question we had about the city. I would recommend this place. Good food, Good people, Great location.
Excellent service, varied menu, a little too noisy both inside and out.
A bit disappointed. Service was slow and not very welcoming. The patio was dirty and overall we did not enjoy our time there.
The food is interesting and generally good. The risotto was just rice though and most of the food was way too salty. Good but not great.
Asked for HRW dinner menu. Pleasantly surprised to see one of my favorite dishes, Osso Buco, as a second course selection.
My meal of pesto pasta was very good, but my boyfriend did not really care for his sandwich. And, the service was pretty poor.
We went during restaurant weeks and thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes! I can't wait to go back, restaurant week or not!
Restaurant was not open when it was supposed to be. What a disappointment, since I had made a reservation. Make sure they will be open if you plan to go.
Service was excellent. Food was great. Lots of parking at this location
Sunday , early evening. Great food: salmon and Osso Buoco. Wonderful salad, good wine and delicious dessert. A bit noisy but... I will be back soon!
Good Houston Restaurant menu and value at $25 per person. Not a great setup indoors for parties over 4 and a little cramped after 7pm. Waitstaff were a bit stretched so a bit of a delay in getting our food. Another party with a reservation at 8pm came up to us at 830 and nicely asked if we were almost done. We were just finishing our dinner. Nice BYOB option too. Will go back and try the regular menu soon.
Service was great, food was below average and inside was very noisy that we moved outsider
Houston restaurant week led me here and I will certainly be back. Food was good, service was excellent and the place is neato
The server was knowledgeable and patient. His suggestion of the papardelle pasta with beef short rib was spot on! It was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting it again the next time I am in Houston.
The food is great. We had brunch on a Saturday. The dining area is small so it gets noisy. The service was good. Everyone checked on us often. Car wait to return.
Service was terrible, we had to keep asking who ever walked by for ordering, food and drinks. It took OVER an hour to get a pasta bowl, 2 chicken plates and a hamburger. Food was not worth the wait nor the bill.
Had dinner with a business colleague there on a Wed night recently. We chose it because of it's proximity to the Whitehall Hotel (formerly the Crown Plaza). It's a relaxed place with good food. The wine list is short and simple - 4 bottles of red to choose from, for example. We had the pinot noir and the malbec and both were decent quality at a good price. The food was delicious with generous portions. This is a value for money place.
They apparently don't care about reservations. I walked in and said I had a reservation through Open Table they didn't look it up or acknowledge they just said grab a table. Waiter got the order incorrect and acted like it was our fault. It wasn't.
