Distilled at The Sire Hotel
Fantastic. Service was wonderful, food was on point. It is uncommon to find a non-steakhouse that can so clearly define the difference between a Medium and Medium Rare steak (which my gf and I ordered).
Coming from fine dining I usually look for things I would do differently but this place left me struggling. If I had to make one remark, it would be that I thought the steak knife looked cheap.
Great experience, would go again without question.
Amazing Food! Amazing service! Love the atmosphere also. Distilled is a hidden gem in Lexington!
Valentine’s Day dinner
My fish dish was off a little but everyone else really liked theirs. Still one of our favorite places.
Good, ambiance, service and everything else was absolutely incredible! Can’t wait to go back!
Couldn’t have been better
Love Chef Wombles but this just missed the mark. Lovely place, great server, food just ok. The bar needs some warming up. Kind of reminded me of Starbucks. We ended up just getting our drinks at our table since no one came to the table. I may have ordered the wrong thing-I do know how good the owner is at restaurants.
Absolutely delicious food.. the filet was one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Great service! Great environment! Great bourbon!
It was fine. Good food and service.
Didn’t know that a reserved table for two would put us in the bar area. More casual and louder than we were interested in.
Service was excellent. Restaurant is beautiful. The food was delicious...the filet and the pork tenderloin. We were never rushed and enjoyed a leisurely meal and great bourbon on a very cold night. And the bread from Sunrise Bakery is the best bread I have ever had at a restaurant. Since we were spending the night in the hotel, we went next door to the bar for after dinner drinks. Terrific experience.
We had a reservation but were seated in the bar. Other than that, our service and food were outstanding.
Our experienced server (didn’t get his name) was terrific. He mentioned that he had trained at the Four Seasons. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and showed up when we needed him without hovering. Few places in Lexington have that kind of service and it makes a huge positive difference in the fine dining experience. My husband loved the evening’s special, a lobster-infused grits with tiger prawns take on traditional shrimp and grits. I loved my raspberry salad, cheese plate, and the generous eggplant appetizer that I ordered as my main. That’s my favorite dish on the menu. Distilled has its own parking and an excellent wine list. The ambiance is elegant but warm. One of our favorites for a special night out in Lexington.
Great place for dinner on any occasion. This is one of the best dinning experiences in Lexington! Ask for Padgett, true gentleman and great server!
The food and service are wonderful; most of all, I appreciate having a conversation without yelling over the clang that many restaurants seem to promote. The ambiance is calm and relaxing.
We dined here prior to seeing Kinky Boots at the Opera House, we ate earlier than normal and had the dining room mostly to ourselves at the start. The tables were full by the time we left. The bourbon cocktails were sublime - I love the craft bourbon cocktail trend and they did them expertly. I had the pork tenderloin and my husband had one of the beef entrees. The portion sizes are just right, we didn’t leave anything on the plate nor were we stuffed. The service was excellent. I highly recommend.
Great food and excellent service! The filet is fabulous!
I've enjoyed multiple meals here over the last several days...saying yum with every deliciously interesting bite!
Great, exceeded expectations! Best Cesar I’ve ever had, the Porkchop, filet and lamb were on point.
Loved it and our waiter was awesome. The food was amazing. I had the filet and my husband had the duck. We definitely shared a few bites. It is expensive though so we’ll only visit for special occasions.
Our server made excellent recommendations. Meal was wonderful and we will Be dining here again.
Loved our waiter Nate!
I had lunch reservations for a business meeting at 12:15 on a Friday. I arrived a bit early because I was the hostess for the meeting. There were several tables seated with meals served but I did not see a host/hostess or any wait staff. I waited several minutes without being greeted, even walking to the restaurants other entrance in case I had entered in the wrong door. Eventually, I asked the hotel staff if there was anyone working at the restaurant. At that point, after waiting about 10 minutes I was seated right before my guests arrived. The lunch menu is simple but the food was tasty and the service was middle-of-the-road. The ambience is one of the best in Lexington and the noice level is perfect for business! I will definitely give it another chance.
The filet and accompaniments were outstanding! The salad as well was delicious and flavorful! Will definitely be back
All of the entrees and appetizers were very unique and full of many flavors. The pairing of the flavors was perfectly executed.
The service was excellent! The food was very good. The pricing was a little high but on par with downtown Lexington. I hope others find their way to Distilled - we’ll definitely go back!
Sooooo good! Leaves me dreaming of the scrumptious food for months. Never disappoints!
We had never visited Distilled for NYE, but heard amazing things. It did not disappoint!
Our new favorite restaurant! From unusual and amazing fried oysters to the best steak in ten years and excellent fried chicken to fabulous spiced poached pears, this was a great experience from beginning to end. The ambiance was just what we’ve been looking for, cozy, comfortable and classy. We’re telling everyone!
We love distilled!
I took my wife there for a special birthday dinner. Everything was good from there service and atmosphere to the incredible food. We will definitely go back!
My mother, two adult daughters and I enjoyed an evening meal at Distilled before we attended the Nutcracker Ballet. The service was excellent. We enjoyed a bottle of wine corked and poured at our table. My mother had the halibut which she said was delicious. My daughters and I had the Marksbury Farm Pork Tenderloin which my nutrition certified daughter described as a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors and perfectly prepared pork tenderloins. The atmosphere was very pleasant however as the evening wore on, it was a bit loud and my 80 year old mother had a hard time hearing. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant.
We had the best meal and service! We love this place more every time we come! Consistently great every visit!
Best dinner and service in town
Great as always. Client lunch. During the holidays and the dining room was crowded with folks having "Holiday lunch" The staff was very helpful and accomodative. They moved us to the bar where things were a tad quieter. Much appreciated.
Great restaurant both for food and quiet atmosphere to converse with friends.
Our first time at Distilled. Pro’s: Lovely ambiance (even though heat wasn’t working); we enjoyed the cozy banquette seating. Service was top-notch and I appreciated the parking lot. My starter was terrific: a large serving of eggplant purée with olives, greens, and some crunchy grain. It was the best of the four dishes we had. Also, I appreciated the generous pour of wine. Con’s: I am a pescetarian and the only seafood entree on the menu was halibut. I found it a over-cooked, bland, and not sauced. It was served with huge, stringy pieces of greens (kale?) and some uninteresting new potatoes. We had read about the wonderful corn muffins but they did not serve them when we were there (although the bread and wheat rolls were delicious). Given the pro’s of this restaurant, I would like to return and explore other options on the menu. But for really excellent fish, I’ll continue to count on GrillFish!
This was a bday lunch. Our server was outstanding despite being the only server working that day. He was impressive. We appreciated his good cheer while being very busy & no bartender. He had to do it all and he did so w aplomb & good grace. Kudos!
I've never been dissatisfied with a meal here. Food is great. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, fun to talk with. She recommended a wonderful red wine. Other staff removed empty dishes, refreshed water glasses, and made sure there was nothing extra we needed. This is one of my favorite places to dine, and to entertain faculty candidates.
Nice restaurant with nice food (a bit pricey), but waiting staff was disappointing. Our server could not tell us which items were vegetarian, did not know the specials and on 3 separate occassions she forgot part of the order and we had to ask about it (no bread with the cheese platter, getting us a new drink, etc.). She also forgot to refill our water glasses. Due to the lack of service and the high price I would not recommend.
