Jackson was amazing and welcoming and made brunch 1000x more fun. The Bloody Mary was especially delicious - it’s spicy, so if that’s your jam, it’s definitely for you.
The food was very good and our waiter was excellent. However, there was a thirty minute delay seating us (8:00 reservation and seated at 8:30) and we didn’t get our main course until 10. The wait staff was very pleasant and did provide champagne for the wait but the delay was frustrating. We would like to give the restaurant one more chance because the food and staff were otherwise great.
Great special date night location. I enjoyed the ambiance and the food was absolutely fabulous.
I have very low standards when it comes to food and personally dislike food reviewers. But let me tell you. An $89 valentines deal for each person for a four course meal. Sounds great, but the food portions were very, very tiny. Good food, but maybe worth a $50 deal. I also got a call two days from an employee confining my reservation before Valentine’s Day telling me that the deal is the only option, so I was pretty much forced to paying more than double for what I originally budgeted for and keeping the reservation at that point since it was so late. Nice waitress though, although I can tell the hostess did not treat me and my girlfriend equally to other guests. We were barely acknowledged.
The food was way overpriced for the amount they serve you. My wifi and I left hungry after spending over $200 and went to another restaurant for more food. We are not big eater but believe two appetizers and two main dishes should be enough for two people.
This was our first time. We should have researched it better because we did not realize it is more bar than restaurant and we were seated right in the middle of it. The noise level - not surprisingly - was high because of that. As the bar started to empty out it did get quieter. We were there for Valentines Day and the menu was good. The food was also good but not great except my husband’s onion soup was not hot. The service was also good. I don’t think we will go back.
Food was absolutely delicious and the attention from the servers was superb. Will definitely recommend to friends.
I went here for an early Valentine's Day and birthday celebration, and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very attentive to our table's needs and questions to provide an amazingly welcoming dining experience, even going as far as offering a pairing of wines for meals we ordered. Very good service! Would HIGHLY recommend giving them a try.
Amazing lunch. Great place for a meeting.
Went for my birthday. the look of the place was great. Truffle fries were amazing. Burger was okay.
Extremely fresh food, highly attentive staff, great drinks, highly recommend for any date night!
Eating brunch before Caps game, and things moved at a brisk pace so we made it with time to spare. The eggs in my wife's benedictb were not as hot as they should have been, but the rest of that dish and my french toast were delicious. Server was prompt and friendly.
Excellent food , friendly and cert very polite service and the restaraunt is well designed for privacy
I loved the ambiance. I’ll be back during the hot months to enjoy the outside.
Waitress Veronica was so helpful. Went out of her way to make sure we got to our next destination . Made excellent recommendations too.
Went here for lunch which I’ve done many times before. The menu has changed and it is now brunch everyday. Initially I was thrown for a loop, but ended up having eggs and sausage. It was fine. Just missed the traditional lunch.
The ambience was the best thing about Dirty Habit. Romantic, contemporary and with muted lighting that was still adequate to read the menu. Although we had a reservation, we still left waiting ten minutes to be seated. Initial service was prompt but follow-on was lacking. We ordered off the restaurant week menu and found that some dishes came with an additional charge that was not well identified in the menu. The prime ribeye was served with fries that were average at best. Over all, the experience was disappointing.
I would highly recommend Dirty Habit. It was classy with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff happily accommodated my gluten free diet. I had the Tempura shrimp and Braised short ribs. My husband had the Chilean Sea Bass. Everything was wonderful and I still want more of the shrimp.
I enjoy Dirty a habit since quiet and elegant. Oil for roasting potatoes tasted a bit rancid but everything else was terrific. We mentioned to the waitress but no new potatoes arrived. Our reduced carb diet was thus maintained as we left the potatoes.
The hostess was a little bit rude when I asked for a different seating area . Being a Current hostess I know that it’s a certain way you handle things and customers when serving them and her response was very much so rude . Over all my server was very very helpful
Great atmosphere - we were sat in the corner. The entrance gets a bit jammed up, but otherwise great the delicious food and bottomless mimosa make up for that.
The kitchen was really slow. I know the server couldn't really control that, but brunch shouldnt take over two full hours.
Pretty decent food, although portions were small. I could have eaten three more servings of the arugula salad! Server was very friendly but not very attentive—took a long time to get drinks/refills, plate was taken from one diner over objections that he wasn’t done yet. Decor was very hip and overall the place was fun. Would give it another chance.
A great brunch place! Went for restaurant week with some friends and loved the food.
Everything was amazing! Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in DC! Would highly recommend this place!
We had a fabulous meal at Dirty Habit. Every dish was creatively and carefully prepared, infused with a balance of flavors that was perfect. Service by Alexander was great, highly attentive but not attentive.
OMG! I came during Restaurant Week. The RW menu was one of the most extensive I've ever seen. Our party of 3 each ordered different appetizers and entrees and we sampled each others. That was, by far, the best meal I've had in years. But the pièce de résistance was the Baked Alaska. If for no other reason, I will go back to Dirty Habit for this dessert. Wow!
The ambiance was great and the service was outstanding. I can't wait to return in the summer to enjoy the patio and outside bar.
I absolutely loved Dirty Habit. It's a very New York chic type of place. Perfect for our girls night out. Ann, our server was awesome. Even though it was restaurant week so the place was busy, she was the right amount of attentive without being intrusive. She was very nice and knowledgeable. I do wish I would have taken her suggestion on the Baked Alaska but the tiramisu was superb. I plan to schedule a reoccurring reservation monthly for myself atleast. 5 stars and plan to go again very soon
Hostess had bad attitude . Rude
Seating crowded. Appetizer good shrimp tempura
Lamb shank delicious and large serving.
Hamburger prepared very well done even though ordered medium rare. Desserts good. Baked Alaska and Coffee mouse Drinks for restaurant week
Champagne. Sweet. Vodka mixed and something that wouldn’t identify. Extremely rude hostess her first day! Bad food. Not a good evening
We went to Dirty Habit for dinner before a show at Shakespeare Theater. The service was excellent. David was our server and we liked him. He did talk alot but was very upbeat and attentive. The food was overpriced and meh. They have all these sexy descriptions of the food but it didn't measure up in flavor. Beef in a French onion soup??? Yuck! Too much onion and cheese. I couldn't even finish a cup. I've been told it has a great happy hour though. My suggestion .... stick to just drinks!
Great new menu! Lamb shank delicious !
Rock temp shrimp Onion soup, not flavorful.
Beet salad good choice. Dessert. Cappuccino
Yum as well s a s passion fruit tart
Just with a friend. I like the ambiance.
Delicious! Love to keep it a secret! So close to Capital One!
The food was amazing. The server did ask if we were in a rush or not and once we said no it seemed like throughout the evening that attending to us was a second thought. We didn’t intend for that response. The response to questions was great but timeliness could have been better.
Great food, however they stopped our bottomless drinks early
Made reservations for the Fortune Teller’s New Year’s Day brunch. We had 12:45 pm reservations. We were seated promptly but the service was very very slow. You could tell there were not enough people working for the day. Our server was overwhelmed. Plates and glasses weren’t cleared before our meal came out. Getting a drink was impossible. My pasta dish was not cooked enough and chewy AF. I was there from 12:45 pm till after 3:00 pm because it was slow and was only served 2 glasses of Prosecco the entire time. To top it off, because the entire meal service took so long by the time we were done, the fortune teller was leaving for the day which was the entire reason we went. Just very disappointing overall. Would not go back or recommend when there are way better DC brunch places at the same price point.
Had terrible service and poorly executed food (ie. poached eggs on both dishes way overcooked, lukewarm plates, and under seasoned). The vibe was the only saving grace (it's a pretty cool restaurant) but staff interactions ruined it.
Excellent staff, food & atmosphere.
Decent food, but WAY over priced. We had reservations for New Years with the intent of going to the NYE party after. We also stayed in the hotel. They made us leave the restaurant and bar area to go stand in line to get back. Notice of this would have been helpful. If we knew we were going to have to stand in the lobby to get back in we would have gone somewhere else for dinner. Food was average but expensive with limited menu on NYE.
