The hostess was a little bit rude when I asked for a different seating area . Being a Current hostess I know that it’s a certain way you handle things and customers when serving them and her response was very much so rude . Over all my server was very very helpful
And loving

The kitchen was really slow. I know the server couldn't really control that, but brunch shouldnt take over two full hours.

Pretty decent food, although portions were small. I could have eaten three more servings of the arugula salad! Server was very friendly but not very attentive—took a long time to get drinks/refills, plate was taken from one diner over objections that he wasn’t done yet. Decor was very hip and overall the place was fun. Would give it another chance.

We had a fabulous meal at Dirty Habit. Every dish was creatively and carefully prepared, infused with a balance of flavors that was perfect. Service by Alexander was great, highly attentive but not attentive.

OMG! I came during Restaurant Week. The RW menu was one of the most extensive I've ever seen. Our party of 3 each ordered different appetizers and entrees and we sampled each others. That was, by far, the best meal I've had in years. But the pièce de résistance was the Baked Alaska. If for no other reason, I will go back to Dirty Habit for this dessert. Wow!

I absolutely loved Dirty Habit. It's a very New York chic type of place. Perfect for our girls night out. Ann, our server was awesome. Even though it was restaurant week so the place was busy, she was the right amount of attentive without being intrusive. She was very nice and knowledgeable. I do wish I would have taken her suggestion on the Baked Alaska but the tiramisu was superb. I plan to schedule a reoccurring reservation monthly for myself atleast. 5 stars and plan to go again very soon

Hostess had bad attitude . Rude
Seating crowded. Appetizer good shrimp tempura
Lamb shank delicious and large serving.
Hamburger prepared very well done even though ordered medium rare. Desserts good. Baked Alaska and Coffee mouse Drinks for restaurant week
Champagne. Sweet. Vodka mixed and something that wouldn’t identify. Extremely rude hostess her first day! Bad food. Not a good evening

We went to Dirty Habit for dinner before a show at Shakespeare Theater. The service was excellent. David was our server and we liked him. He did talk alot but was very upbeat and attentive. The food was overpriced and meh. They have all these sexy descriptions of the food but it didn't measure up in flavor. Beef in a French onion soup??? Yuck! Too much onion and cheese. I couldn't even finish a cup. I've been told it has a great happy hour though. My suggestion .... stick to just drinks!

The food was amazing. The server did ask if we were in a rush or not and once we said no it seemed like throughout the evening that attending to us was a second thought. We didn’t intend for that response. The response to questions was great but timeliness could have been better.

Made reservations for the Fortune Teller’s New Year’s Day brunch. We had 12:45 pm reservations. We were seated promptly but the service was very very slow. You could tell there were not enough people working for the day. Our server was overwhelmed. Plates and glasses weren’t cleared before our meal came out. Getting a drink was impossible. My pasta dish was not cooked enough and chewy AF. I was there from 12:45 pm till after 3:00 pm because it was slow and was only served 2 glasses of Prosecco the entire time. To top it off, because the entire meal service took so long by the time we were done, the fortune teller was leaving for the day which was the entire reason we went. Just very disappointing overall. Would not go back or recommend when there are way better DC brunch places at the same price point.

Had terrible service and poorly executed food (ie. poached eggs on both dishes way overcooked, lukewarm plates, and under seasoned). The vibe was the only saving grace (it's a pretty cool restaurant) but staff interactions ruined it.

Decent food, but WAY over priced. We had reservations for New Years with the intent of going to the NYE party after. We also stayed in the hotel. They made us leave the restaurant and bar area to go stand in line to get back. Notice of this would have been helpful. If we knew we were going to have to stand in the lobby to get back in we would have gone somewhere else for dinner. Food was average but expensive with limited menu on NYE.

Menu felt limited for a vegetarian, and I don’t think the lentil item I ordered was satisfyingly worth $25. Great place for drinks though.

Dirty Habit is a perfectly OK restaurant, not better than that or worse than that. The high points are the service and the decor. The food is OK. I tried the chef's well publicized Coconut Curry Lentils. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't outstanding either. My companion had the Amish chicken breast. He was lukewarm about it--not bad, but not outstanding. As I said the service is top-notch and the decor is attractive, but that's about all that's going for this place.

Four of us had dinner at Dirty Habit. From the start service was punctuated with apologies ( forgot to offer to take our coats, forgot to give us the pre-theater menu, slow in taking cocktail orders...). Waiter referred to two women guests as "Dear". (Lucky he didn't get an earful.) One entree was totally lacking in flavor. Manager came to apologize. Too late for a redo; we had a play to catch. Dining room was loud, chair caught on carpet and was impossible to move. Overall an uncomfortable evening.

Attentive service, everything delivered to the table in good timing. Our first time ordering beef tartare and it was really good. We were there pre-theatre, but ended up ordering off the regular menu, but the pre-theatre pre-fixe menu looked plenty good. The Duck Duo was excellent; my husband loves duck and he thought it was some of the best-booked that he'd had.

We arrived at 6pm on a very busy night; sold out concert across the street so everyone was trying to get there on time. Wine list is incredibly small and the selections are nothing great. Maybe 6-8 selections of white, rose or red each. I ordered 3 apps for my meal: the waygu steak tartare, it was way overmixed with the harrisa aioli and there was no bread or crackers to spread it on. I asked for bread and was told it had to be ordered ($8) and was a very large loaf (for 4 ppl). Waiter said they had lavash crackers so I asked for that, took 15 mins to get. I ordered the Baby Arugula mixed greens and there was so much salt on it, it was inedible... I sent it back. Last I ordered the chestnut ravolinni, the pasta was way too thick and chewy, actually gummy, and they were under cooked. The sauce was good but the pasta just ruined it. My husband had the crispy chicken roll as an app and the short ribs. He said the chicken roll was good (and it was quite large), but the short ribs did not come with hardly any of the cabernet sauce and they were dry. I really wanted to like this restaurant as I'm a fan of Kimpton overall, but this meal was just so not up to their usual standards.

The people and the location were top notch. They put us into an area that allowed us to talk openly and enjoy everything Dirty Habit had to offer. The food was outstanding, bar one person that had an issue which was quickly solved.

Again, the people and the location capture you and allow you to relax and enjoy. Do not miss the opportunity to eat here.

Very posh, chill, unique ambiance - loved it. Perfect for hanging out in a semi casual, low-lit, comfy-seated lounge-like bar with a few friends or even a date. The drinks were decently priced (beers around $7 and cocktails around $14 - but I find it reasonable compared to what I now pay in NJ/NY). My party of 5 only had appetizers, but of them, we LOVED the truffle fries and charcuterie board. Loved Dirty Habit and will return soon!

The cocktails are a wonder, the location couldn’t be better, and the ambiance is very nice in the small restaurant section. Service was good, too. Unfortunately for us foodies, a second visit confirmed that the food is just okay. The spring rolls were a bit greasy, the fish a bit over cooked with no seasoning though the accompanying sauce was very nice. The tiramisu was unlike any I’ve had before but was a wonderfully surprising and tasty end to the meal.

We went on a Friday evening so it was crowded. We were seated near the bar so people stood near our table while we were eating. Also, we had to find some one to provide us service. I definitely would have sat outside if I was only there for drinks. The outside area with the fire pits was nice. Because of the crowd and noise, it is not the best place for dinner on a Friday night.
