I was extremely disappointed with the lack of flavor in the food. I ordered the Mediterranean branzino and it was extremely bland. My friend ordered the burger and while it looked tasty she said her fries were extremely dry. I would ONLY recommend this place for HH as they have a pretty decent HH menu and their small bites (mainly the calamari) are worth trying.
Excellent. Looking forward to another visit.
Great location for pre-concert/event food and drinks. Conveniently located across from the Capitol One Arena. Food was good, and servers were adaptable to quick service to help us get to the show on time. Portions a bit small, but creative. Ambiance chic but still approachable. Restrooms are not conveniently located. Entrance is a bit confusing (since it is connected to a hotel). Convenient parking garage across the street.
We had a wonderful dinner for four prior to seeing the Pink concert. Took our "picky" twelve year old and our "foodie" fourteen year old and everyone was very happy with their meal. We had everything from steak to duck to pasta to fish and all was excellent.
Experience was so-so. Tables very close so conversation was difficult. Food was ok not great and service average.
I’m not one to complain, which is the first thing every complainer says, but I’m really not. Our service was horrible. Didn’t get a drink order taken until our food order was put in. Our waiter was in a huge hurry, when we would rather have had him take his time and give better service when he was out of the weeds.
The best thing about this place was the toast.
Perfect place for brunch before heading out on a tour of dc!
Hands down, no lie, best meal and best service we’ve had!
Brussel spouts were crispy and salty and bacony and PERFECT!
The best calamari we’ve ever had was at our wedding in LaJolla, California ... Until tonight. HOLY HELL was that good. And they snuck a few fried pickles in there too!
The cheese plate was incredible and the Brie was amazing (and I’m a Brie snob!)
The steak tartare was on point.
The wings were PERFECT. The tuna poke was what you wanted it to be.
And we ended it with a great tiramisu that rounded it out well.
But the service? The service is the main reason we’ll go back. LOVED it!
Need to check when reserving for outside seating that it is actually available. This is the third time that we visited in order to sit outside in the court yard and the third time we were unable to do so due to private event.
Need to check bill. We cancelled a drink order when it still had not come 20 minutes after the food was done and were (initially erroneously billed for two drinks—one we ordered and never got and one we did not order.
Nice, friendly and accommodating service. Indoor or out, live the ambiance. One of my fave spots in DC!
THIS IS MY 2nd TIME, BUT 1st TIME EATING ON THE OUTSIDE PATIO
ITS A GREAT PLACE! YOU GUYS PATIO/OUTSIDE AREA IS SICK GREAT VIBE! I LOVE HOW EVERYONE WAS SO SOCIAL AND FRIENDLY. THR SERVICE WAS GREAT!!
Small portions but tasty. We had the restaurant to ourselves—it was about 7:00 on a Sunday evening.
Breakfast/brunch at Dirty Habit was awesome! The Pastrami Hash, Veggie Omelette, and bacon were all very tasty and well executed. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive. We will certainly be back next time we’re in DC.
Very poor experience. Wait staff seemed disinterested and detached, and when they got something wrong with an order, there were no apologies and nothing was offered as compensation.
Front desk was rude and unhelpful. Not willing to accommodate. Server was not knowledgeable about menu and not attentive.
We went to Dirty Habit to celebrate a friend's birthday and had an amazing time. The first thing I noticed was the decor which is a really cool mix of urban industrial. Having lived in DC for some time, its hard to find a place that exudes this modern look and feel. The ambiance was also really fun and hip, not too loud but you definitely have this feel of energy in the place. As a large table we just ended up ordering a whole slew of dishes and they were all absolutely fantastic. I think the highlight was the indulgent meat platter that features duck, steak and this incredibly tender sausage link. The duck was cooked to perfection with such tender meat and a sweet crispy skin. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. We also ordered the whole fluke, which featured this really delicious sauce that had a nice kick. If you like raw fish, I would also recommend the tuna poke. The tuna was so delicate and it comes on top of an avocado mash (can never go wrong with avocados). Although I personally didn't have the dessert, the table was raving about the Baked Alaska. We ordered the entire pie and it didn't last more than 5 minutes. Overall, a amazing dinner. Can't wait to go back.
Food as good but selection limited for brunch, no seafood except for lox :(
Merely adequate and not a good value. Servers did not have a very good sense of time although they were very pleasant. The food was good and reasonable portions but nothing distinctive or exciting. One place they excel was desserts. Nicely made and very flavorful and a relative bargain at $7 each.
The place was beautiful and I wish it was warm enough to sit outside. I'd definitely want to come back to sit outside by their firepits. The food was good, but I think a little pricey for what it was. Service was good as well. The server suggested a cocktail I would have never tried otherwise and it was great. I would recommend trying Dirty Habit out.
Good experience, but a bit pricey.
Dave did a great job at brunch. It seemed a bit disorganized as three different people asked us if they could take our order....upside we had plenty of service!
Food and service was good but beware of going on a Friday night as much of this restaurant’s seating is basically in the bar area so it was very loud. I would consider this place more of a brunch/lunch spot than quiet, upscale dinner establishment.
Fun and great food
Everything we had was quite good. The preparation and sauces on our main courses were to die for - especially the short rib. Liked that we we're rushed and could just take our time and savor every bite at our own pace.
Good variety on menu, fresh ingredients, creative, good presentation and accommodating to substitutions. I was there for breakfast and would go back!
Great ambiance but food was VERY disappointing.
Was great except the rule about the majority of the party getting there before being seated is too much and wasted a lot of our time
Nice discovery, great of the lat night dinner, a hip modern place. We liked it a lot.
Reasonably priced apps and entrees. Great music helpful and attentive waitstaff. Tartar was great and tuna was amazing. I ordered a great Old Fashioned and they made a tasty chocolate martini for my wife, it was deceptively delicious. We will go back for sure.
Nice bar space, good kitchen, overall positive experience. Beverage service a little too slow for a half full house.
Food was nothing special and the service was slow. Had to track the server down to pay the check after being ignored for 20 minutes.
Hip Hotel Restaurant adjacent to the Capital One Arena inside Hotel Monaco F Street. Service was great! However, I think the Short Rib we both ordered was heavily marinated with a sweeter marinade? A tad overpowering for my taste, and it was slightly overcooked. Drinks were wonderful, and very interesting wine list. Our selection didn't disappoint. Definitely a step above your typical Hotel Restaurant! Overall we Enjoyed our Dinner at Dirty Habit!
had dinner pre-theatre. That menu has some good choices for only $38 and the food was quite good. would have preferred sitting in main restaurant rather than tables around the bar. In summer, I'm sure that's a fun, cheery place to be for drinks, but not dinner on a cold windy day. I will request the main dining room in restaurant next time.
Falafel and noodle salad were dissapointing. Waiter kept bumping into my chair during entire meal as he passed by.
Food was good. Our wait person was very knowledgeable and pleasant however, her timing for bringing the next course, seeing if we needed refills, removing dishes, etc., was just a little bit off.
Loved this place! Great aesthetic, service and menu selection. Our food was delicious and the wine was splendid.
I have to dirty habits 3 or 4 tines in the past, this time I wanted to take my 21 years old triplets for dinner there. There was a miss understanding in our reservation. But John Hendricks, the manager went above and beyond the calls of duty to ensure we were taken care of us and to resolve the issue. Thank you Mr. Hendricks you made our evening. The kids and I are very grateful, and because of you we will return again to dine at Dirty Habits.
The food was excellent and the service was great. It has a great look and feel and a very vibrant atmosphere. I also loved that the lights were dim and although it’s noisy there is definitely space to be intimate at a table.
A good spot for a quick brunch! Cocktails are a bit expensive, but the bottomless deal makes it worth the money.
