My friend and I found this place and went in. Quite beautiful. To make a long story short, this was the best steak I may ever had... Food was delicious. Service was very attentive. Highly recommend this place.

Menu was uninspired. My black sea bass was poached in white wine and the skin had a rubbery texture. There was nothing on the plate other than the bass, not even a garnish. The wine list was skewed heavily toward the very expensive side, with very limited choices under $100. Spinach side dish was tough and unappealing. Kale salad was pretty good. OpenTable showed availability at either 6:00 or 7:30 in response to my request for 7:00, leading me to believe that this is a busy establishment. When we were seated at 7:30 the place was nearly empty, taking away some credibility from OpenTable (although it may be up to the restaurant to tell OpenTable the available seating times).

I had pretty high expectations for this restaurant between the rave reviews and the fact that it’s a MFG property, but unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. This might be the first negative review I’ve ever left. The highlights of the meal were the wine and the complimentary bread and butter. My party got the bone marrow - quite a small portion among three ladies and very salty; Tuna tartare - never met a raw tuna I didn’t like until tonight; cod - overwhelmingly garlicky; chicken - quite garlicky but easier to scrape off; endive salad - I’ve never found a dish with too much cheese until this. Sorry MFG, too over the top for the taste buds.

My mother & I had wanted to try Dirty French for a while, & they did not disappoint. We had the Bibb salad with blackened shrimp, and it was *delicious*. Ambiance & service were great. Will definitely return.

I ate here about 2 weeks ago and it was really good. Returned last night and it was a very different experience. My rare steak arrived extremely overcooked. I asked them to remake it and they delivered one that had just touched the pan, which I’d be fine with but it was ICE COLD in the middle. ICY. Either they were trying to make a point, or absolutely don’t have a clue about how to cook a steak. I didn’t feel I could ask for it to be remade again and ate around the edges. It’s a $59 steak before sides. Frites were overcooked too.

The reservation was made for lunch. When we got there it turned out the restaurant is closed and opens only for dinner. We were seated in the courtyard, the menu for lunch was totally different, very limited and not what shows on yelp and open table. Service was very slow. Food was ok.

It certainly has a schtick (and a loud one at that), but the food was great, drinks were tasty, and service was chill and friendly. A little pricey for the quality, but generous portions. Chicken and crepes a big recommend.

Everything about this place was amazing from start to finish. The food was phenomenal. We talked about it for days after. Gavin took care of us that evening and he was top notch. The drinks were in a class of their own. I’m sad we didn’t get to have dessert but there’s all ways next time!

The bread that comes to your table is divine. I had the burger, it was perfectly cooked and my friend had the salmon which she said was delicious. Everyone was kind and accommodating.

Gavin, our server was amazing and the hospitality we received was first class. The food was perfect (bone marrow, delicata squash special, hangar steak au poirve, Cote du porc) and reasonably priced for the portions, especially being in the LES. Not my first time here and certainly won't be my last!

Well, although making a reservation for lunch there, I didn’t eat there. I specifically wanted to go to the restaurant and even requested a banquette but the restaurant depicted in the photo was not open for lunch. One had a choice of the lobby or outside. Poor form not to offer what one specially wanted. Open Table really screwed up here as did Dirty French—one should get to eat at the restaurant one reserved!

The food was so good I loved the baked clams !!! They were huge and tasty. For the main dish we had chicken and steak both were perfectly cooked.The drinks were ok but took way to long to get to us at one point we forgot we ordered drinks. Will still come back as the food was delicious.

It’s been awhile But once back enchanting Matre D has sparkle and couldn’t be more accommodating Then to staff always there but not intrusive Now to food The speciality bread sooooo good asked for another Then to appetizer and entree delicious Desert icing on cake. Lots of sizzle, but no steak....literally. I wasn't sure if I ordered a steak or a steak-...yes, it was that thin. To say it was disappointing would be an understatement. For the amount of money, I expected a lot more. For those who are on the fence, I would go somewhere else that has food just as good, better service for half the price.
