Dino's Steak & Claw House
Dino’s Steak and Claw has an incredible menu and amazing ambiance working in its favor. You can find it in the historic Grapevine area of Dallas. It is in a vintage bank building, and once through the doors, you’ll immediately notice that much of its classic look remains intact.
Of course, you’ll soon be busy with the menu at Dino’s Steak and Claw. As the name suggests, this restaurant is all about surf and turf. However, there is also plenty of poultry to be enjoyed too. You can order things such as beef medallions, Atlantic salmon or a fresh salad. While you eat at Dino’s Steak and Claw, a local pianist will keep you entertained with some light music.

Dino’s was recommended by friends and they didn’t disappoint! Service, food and ambience was spectacular for a special night out!
The steak and scallop special was amazing - best steak we've had in a LONG time. The next time we're in the mood for a special occasion or just a great meal, we'll think of Dino's.
Absolutely amazing!! From the food to quality of service and ambiance I was beyond satisfied.
Our dinner at Dino's was great. The food was very good (steaks were perfect) and prepared as ordered. The service was excellent, not overbearing but never a need to hunt for waiter. It was noisy and loud at times as the place was full but was expected on a Saturday night.
Went here for dinner with my parents and had the WORST service. We had Adrian as our waiter and he was so rude and standoffish. He had rushed us the entire time and did not care about our table at all. Immediately when we sat down he took our drink order, which took forever, but when we got it, he gave my dad the wrong drink. He was rude about it when my dad mentioned it was not his drink. Then Adrian asked us if we were ready to order, and we were not, so we said we wanted to relax and not rush. Then he came back 3 time and then told us we wouldn’t be able to order our food if we waited longer because they would get too busy. Are you kidding me?! Our waiter literally told us we had to order right now or they would get too busy and we couldn’t order!!! It was 5:30p and I can guarantee you it was not busy. I was shocked at what Adrian said. Then the food came out and it was good, but my mom ordered a filet medium rare and it came out well done so she did not enjoy her meal. She also had to ask Adrian 2 time for more wine before he listened to her. When the dessert we ordered came, we were sharing it, so we asked for extra plates twice and neither time did our waiter listen to us, so we never got the plates. Also, when we just began eating our dessert, Adrian brought out the check to the table.. he didn’t even ask if we wanted anything else or at least had the patience to wait for us to be done eating.
It was the worst service overall that I have ever received at an upscale restaurant. When you’re spending $300 on a dinner, I would expect at least mediocre service, but Adrian was the worst server ever. He rushed us the entire time and made it a terrible experience! We probably would not go back to Dino’s because he ruined the restaurant for us. He was so rude and does not have respect for his customers. Absolutely ridiculous!! This poor experience is never acceptable.
First time here loved it!!! From the ambiance to service, great dirty martini to main courses, everyone in my party tried something different from filet cooked to perfection to the Chilean Seabass to the Salmon, desserts were fabulous. We will definitely be back!!!
Awesome meal and ambiance. Server was attentive and fantastic!
The food was the delicious; however, we felt rushed through our meal and it just made for an overall bad experience.
We've been going to Dino's for some time when after several years of observing the outside of the building on historic downtown Grapevine's Main Street we finally decided to try it. Now we go as often as budget allows as our special meal place.
We sat at the bar. Our bartender was very attentive and helpful to ensure our experience was perfect.
My wife and I had an amazing dinner! Starting with the bread with butter/balsamic vinegar to the Cesar salad and lobster bisque, finishing up with the melt in your mouth filet mignon with seared scallops! We were still talking about it the next day.
The food was good as usual but service was bad. Had this same waiter twice now and it confirmed the first time wasn’t just an off day for the waiter. Yesterday’s experience really put a damper on what is usually a good one for our family.
We had an early dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious. The service was great.
Sara took care of us on our anniversary dinner. We booked back in April. Food was EXCELLENT! Service was EXCELLENT! We would have given 4.5 stars for a lack of viable lighting to see the menu. This seems to be a consistent remark as well. There were several large groups that made it loud, but not so much you couldn't carry a conversation. If we didn't live 1100 miles away, we would DEFINITELY be back.
The Filet I had was the best I've ever eaten.
Menu is on the small side. Service was good
Great place! Service was perfect, food was amazing. 3rd time here and it was the beat so far. Top 10 steak of all time. Bone in filet was cooked perfectly and it melted like butter.
Nice piano playing in the background, but made it loud. Not a place for a nice quiet dinner, more so for a group of four or more.
Pricey for sure. Paid for a glass of wine that you can buy the entire bottle. But that’s expected at a place like this.
Had a reservation but yet people who came in off the street were seated before us. Not sure how that happens.
Overall I would recommend the place.
Overpriced. Crabmeat was old, looks like it was leftover. Rice was undercooked and Chilean sea bass was not even prime cut. Steak is good but not worth the $47 price tag. The captures appetizer tastes good but I can tell it was not superbly fresh.
Waiter was nice but needs more training in terms of proper etiquette in serving.
Nice touch of free dessert for the birthday celebrant.
Overall, it’s not my go to steakhouse. Way overpriced.
Suggested by a local when we were thinking bout other steakhouses in the area, Dino was a gem with outstanding food and a great vibe. Elegant yet casual is how I would describe it...definitely would go back again the next time I am in town.
By far the best steak I've had. Service is fantastic with a great atmosphere.
The food, service and drinks were great. The steaks were perfectly prepared as were our appetizers. Only complaint, the piano was a bit loud and made it hard to hear at times.
It was our first time dining there. It didn’t disappoint. The food was wonderful. The service was top notch. Our waiter was really good. He always asked if he could take something from the table. Someone trained him well.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect. It was an enjoyable evening
Incredible place! Highly recommend! The wine, the bread, the food….every detail was perfection
Slow unknowledgeable waiter, in friendly bartender. The man who brought our bread and cleared the table was wonderful and polite.
Great food, reasonable prices and nice service. Let them know if you are celebrating something and they will make it special!
Amaris, our server was incredibly helpful & attentive. Every recommendation she suggested was spot on. It was a wonder dining experience!
The food was wonderful, and the waiter was great that made the experience extremely enjoyable.
Service, quality of food and beverage, and the entire staff were world class! A must visit when you're in the Grapevine area.
Husband and I chose to go and try it out for our date night. We love steak and a good cocktail! Let’s just say Dinos did not disappoint. The ambiance was good because lighting is dim so it’s sets a good vibe. Piano player helped the mood and helps quiet the noise of people talking.
Our waitress was attentive and communicated throughout dinner.
We’re definitely going back!!!
Service was great (Justi). Food was wonderful. I was surprised that there were so many empty tables on a Friday evening.
Chilean Sea Bass was excellent as always. Service is always wonderful.
We enjoyed the cocktails, lobster bisque, scallops and filet mignon with poivre sauce--exceptional food and the best waiter. Beautiful pianist as well. Thank you for a great evening.
The food here is amazing! We have been twice now. We used to go to Perry’s but they are always so busy and hard to get a reservation. Dino’s is as good or better. Loved the live piano!
Service and ambience was good, and value is good compared to other high-end steak restaurants. I especially like that it is in the middle of downtown Grapevine, as I was bringing business visitors from New York.
However, for a high-end steak restaurant, I considered its food to be relatively "bland" (especially its appetizers), or, put another way, "nothing special". I did not feel like it put anything forward that distinguished it from other higher-end steak restaurants. So, I would rate it as "a little above average", but not outstanding.
Dino's is a rare gem these days! Not a chain, just a lovely and elegant choice for a nice dinner with fabulous food and drink. We highly recommend it!
Our server was excellent, attentive but not a pest . The food was good but seemed short of exacting in temperature and flavor. My wife had sea bass and felt it was somewhat bland. My Porterhouse was under seasoned as well and seemed to have rested too long or had been delayed in leaving the kitchen as all of the sides were warm and edible but not hot.
Outstanding service and quality of food for my family, seasoned perfectly. Giant shrimp in the Shrimp cocktail!! Steak and Lamb chop cooked to perfection. The woman playing piano was Awesome.
