River Terrace
Following on from the success of December in the Courtyard, join us again this spring on The River Terrace at Somerset House. Situated overlooking the Thames, Dining Domes offer an exceptional open air dining experience in the grounds of one of London’s best loved and most iconic venues.

Choose from a range of delicious lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus which have been designed by an award-winning culinary team and are a perfect treat for this spring. Please check our Minimum spend and cancellation policies.

The Dining Domes are classed as an outdoor space/ structure and are exposed to the elements so please dress for the weather! Bookings are open now for this short period and we are accepting tables of 4 to 6 guests, for smaller or larger party bookings please contact us.

    I booked the evening as a treat for a few friends to celebrate a taste of freedom after the Covid pandemic. Was extremely disappointed by the dome which lacked any form of atmosphere or a suggestion of luxury. The menu was not the same as the one which had been promoted but much more limited. We made our choices but none of us were impressed by the food nor the dome. Unfortunately the experience fell well below expectation so my advice would be Avoid.

    Pods nice and warm (heater inside!), staff friendly, food nice. Would go for lunch again.

    Very average. Cheap plastic tent like domes. Table & chairs looked like they’d been pulled out of a school canteen. Average food. Very limited drinks menu. Service was fine.

    We came for lunch in the domes on the terrace. Lovely setting, excellent service and tasty meat options. However, one of our party was vegan. There was only one option on the menu, which contained nuts. Please can you consider more variety (with the option of nut free) for your vegan diners. The house white was also a little tart. Many thanks
