For 70 years, Sydney's restaurant Diethnes has been the go-to spot for authentic Greek dining. Since 1952, our family-owned and operated restaurant has been serving up traditional recipes passed down through generations. At Diethnes, we pride ourselves on not just the food but the entire experience. Step into our warm and welcoming atmosphere for a true taste of Greek culture.

Diethnes Greek Restaurant has a rich history, with roots dating back to 1967 when our previous owner, Phillip, migrated to Australia from the Cyclades. He worked his way up from kitchen hand to owner, and in 1977, the restaurant moved to its current location at 336 Pitt Street.

    We had a group of 10, 1 a coeliac. Some wanted to go for a banquet while others wanted to order their own. The waiter came up with suggestions that satisfied everyone. And the bill ended up being less than what I'd expected. Food was delicious
