The experience was worse than normal for this restaurant tonight. The waiter must have been completely distracted in his head because he made several errors and was just plane lazy in attending our table.

I have been to Diana a few times and have always thought it was OK, not fabulous, but decent. We normally go there for lunch before matinee theater performances due to its convenient location. The service has typically been acceptable, not always extremely attentive, but OK. Our experience this past weekend was terrible! Again, the food was OK, not great. Our waitress was almost non existent. She never even asked two of the four people at our table for their drink order. Once we ordered food, we never saw our waitress again until we asked someone to please find her. At the end of our meal we had to ask someone to please find her and ask her to come take our coffee order. She did appear and we placed our order. It was close to 20 minutes later when we had to ask another person to please get her and to see where our coffees were. The coffees were then brought out, but the order was incorrect and two of them were lukewarm warm at best. One of our guests, who has been in the service industry for years decided to talk to the manager so that the restaurant would be aware of the service so that it could be improved upon in the future. The manager did not seem very receptive to the conversation and it seemed like the attitude of the establishment was not in the favor of customer service. After talking to the manager, the previously non existent waitress came over to our table to explain that she was upset that we talked to the manager and actually started chastising our guest. At least the manager did have the good sense to intervene and she escorted the waitress away from the table. The manager offered to take two of the coffees off of our bill, which we refused. It was not our intention to get anything removed from our bill. We just thought that management would want to know if there was a problem that could be corrected and lead to fewer unhappy customers - not the case here. Anyway - if you go here - do not expect good service, and only expect mediocre food.

Wine selection good...food was really good and plenty of it (we shared the salad for a starter). Arrived 2 hours prior to the show and enjoyed every minute of it in a relaxed beautiful setting!

I arrived about 6:06pm with my son, and asked to be seated (after the hostesses assumed I was with another lady) I explained it was just two of us and she asked if I had a reservation and they I said no and she said she wouldn’t have a table for 30 min. There were at least 7 open two tops in my immediate view. She proceeded to tell me to go to the bistro, I then checked open table and they had a reservation for 6:15pm for two, I made the reservation and was immediately seated. The hostess with the boho bob braids fair skinned grey pants red silk top was just rude and very off putting from the start of our interaction. This was my son and I’s very first experience dining at the restaurant. She wasn’t welcoming didn’t see how she could accommodate us, nothing just dry and curt. I had to explain to my child who didn’t understand why she didn’t just seat us if they had open reservation’s. Tyler our waiter made up for the experience.

The food and service were great. We tried the Tart Flambé for an appetizer. It was cheesy and flavorful and enough to share with the table. My mom and I split the house salad which was large enough for a main meal and delicious, glad we split it! For our mains, the four of us had the Italian sausage (pretty good), the bolognese (very good) and two of the Spring shrimp pasta (delicious). For dessert, we shared a slice of flourless chocolate cake and a slice of key lime pie. Both were spectacular! My only real issue was with the prices on the wine list. The markup is outlandish. There is no way a glass of Meiomi should be $17 ($25 for a large). Overall great experience.
