Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

I celebrated my 65th Birthday with my family and everything was superb! The food was amazing and the waiters were spectacular. I couldn’t have asked for more!

The first steak they brought was wrong. The second one was cooked incorrectly. There was no 3rd chance.

Overall we had a good experience. The service staff should learn, and practice, proper service. Serving from the left, with the left hand and clearing from the right, with the right hand, are basic service standards. Water should be poured with the left hand, after removing the glass, with the right hand. Servers should be less informal with conversation.

always great to be welcomed back to Desi Vega’s. the food is consistently good. the service is attentive and friendly. i would love to see a French chardonnay added to the by-the-glass list.
