What an exquisite meal from beginning to end! The food was perfect and delicious. They have a lovely wine selection. Service is prompt but not rushed, warm and friendly. I didn’t notice much about the room as I was so involved with the meal!

Overall great food and good ambiance. Waiter was very knowledgeable about menu and accommodated some of our specific food requests. Had to wait 20 mins to be seated despite having a reservation, but restaurant was very kind/apologetic and provided an appetizer on the house which was very appreciated.

Sometimes you can go out in San Francisco, spend a lot of money and get mediocre food. This wasn't one of those times. Every dish we had at Delfina, from the vegetable custard and chicken-liver bruschetta appetizers and the savory salad to the pappardelle with duck sugo and the braised short rib was absolutely delicious. All served by a warm and engaging staff that seemed genuinely pleased we were there. Delfina been around for long enough that people are tempted to take it for granted, but I never will again. Amazing meal, one of the best I can remember in SF.

I've been dining at Delfina for over 17 years, and it remains my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in the Bay Area. The food is consistently exceptional….sublime, as always. Craig and Annie Stoll, the owners, have done an amazing job maintaining that level of quality and consistency over the years. It's a true San Francisco staple that never disappoints…

Kind and warm greetings at check-in with a well coordinated flow of food and beverages. We felt like we were part of the family as we chatted with the Matthiasson's whose wine was featured and all who helped us at the table were gentle and professional. Having Nyah as our server was the highlight of the evening, they made a sincere connection and we felt well cared for. The dishes were phenomenal and having ordered the Spring Sformato we were indulged with a flan like quality to the cheese, the Spring onion pie tasted fresh and balanced with a light yet sturdy crust, the Tagliatelle was hearty and delicious. Defina is a neighborhood place, good for special occasion and make it a regular place to dine
