Del Posto is one of the best special occasion restaurants in New York City. Think of it like a more upscale Babbo, or Daniel with pasta.
One of the best and most well known restaurants around. don't go unless you have the time to enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner. But worth the prices.
Excellent well trained staff - - excellent food - - wonderful ambiance Will definitely return.
A culinary delight meant to please the most discerning foodies!! The staff’s knowledge of the meaning of every ingredient is encyclopedic! We loved our experience and the food tasted heavenly.
Excellent. Summit Lyn outstanding in every manner.
I had an important business meeting and Del Posto was recommended to me by a good friend who knew NYC restaurant scene.. To say it was a good experience, is an under statement, Besides the fact that the place are super classy, amazing atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the attention we got from the service staff was beyond belief.. I have been to top restaurants all over the world, but for me this place tops it.. I was expecting huge bill, as we both ordered 2 glasses of Monprivatos05 red wine. for what we ordered, the bill was fair. I will be back over and over and over again.. highly recommended.
We had the 5-course meal with wine pairings. It was an exquisite meal and a wonderful evening.
Excellent dinner, real respect for italian taste and ingredients, we had lobster and vitello tonnato starter, cacciucco and artic char second course.... fantastic deaserts!!
Great wine list and great authentic Italian dishes
I haves dined here for both work and pleasure.
It is by far the best food and service in NYC.
Excellent food and service! Disappointed that they took the ‘100-Layer lasagne off the menu! Please put it back on!
This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The food was absolutely spectacular and the service was unparalleled. Highly recommended if you are looking for a fine dining experience in the city.
No doubt, extraordinary experience. Every item they placed on the table was flawless, so delicious and so thoughtfully delivered by a wonderful staff. My hat's off to everyone at del Posto, thanks for a memorable evening.
One of the 5 best restaurants I have every been to and I’ve been to many!!! A special restaurant all the way around. A++
Amazing time birthday
Fabulous everything was outstanding even the service.
Exceptional food, outstanding service. I cannot wait to go back.
Birthday for my wife was more than I could imagine. The food, ambience and staff were incredible. The 8 course Captain’s selection was exquisite and filling. The staff educates you about each course as you progress through this gastronomic journey. It is expensive but worth every cent.
Perfect - went for a special occasion, had amazing food and superb service. The piano music on the background was as appropriate as it may get.
Amazing experience start to finish!
The service and the food were excellent. We loved everything. It was great.
El lugar es hermoso! Se demoro mucho la atencion para hacer el pedido de la comida. Elegimos menu a la carta en vez de los pasos. Los Bellinis y el postre lo mejor de la noche!
What can I tell you is one of New York’s best kept secret
Front the waiter to the manager all give top quality service in a very professional way… We felt at home the low deemed light the candles on the stairs the candles on the tables the piano playing all night he makes you feel very relaxed and ready to enjoy your meal… But what I like the most about this restaurant is that the manager bent over to please autistic son and that to me says a lot How about this restaurant and the people they hire… A true gourmet experience highly recommend it.
The Reyes Family.
One of the most special meals I have had in NYC. First class in every way.
A classic in the best sense.
Consistent food, perfect service.
Phenomenal restaurant for the service, quality of the food and value for the lunch tasting menu. I absolutely recommend the 6-course lunch tasting menu. You will leave content and will not be disappointed by the food you get to sample.
Such a fantastic culinary experience. I can’t say enough about it
Food was meerly ok, and at times cold. Extra charges for items not worth it. Pasta was ordinary. The 20 dollar extra steak is not worth it. Generous with dessert but who wants that
Fine service by server Debbie and sommelier. All dishes were excellent except for the alleged ribeye which was sinewy and lacked flavor bur Debbie removed it from our bill as any good server concerned with their guests would. Been here several times and would certainly return.
When you first walk in Very Grand Effect ! From Introduction to seating well done ! Drinks Great and choice for all at table. Service to a tee and fully explained options. Well Done Chef !
Awesome all good nothing to say but awesome.
The ambiance was spectacular as was the service. However, many of the courses were bland and in the case of the veal tonnato and the heritage pork flavorless.
The wine list is overpriced. We ordered by the glass which proved more interesting and less expensive unless you go for their new reserve list where a 3 or 6 oz. glass of wine can be upwards of $100 and not less than $88. You can buy the bottle in a good shop for the same amount. As to the bottled wine list we were offended to be offered a less expensive varietal for five times the price as retail in a good wine shop. I felt as though they were daring me to order!
Overall, the bill was close to $600 for 2. It should have been much better.
Nice ambience, food options, complimentary appetizer, desert, chocolates, cookies. My chocolate Budida desert was good but very normal. My husbands pistachio desert was amazing. Lamb chops were great, lobster was amazing. There was a long wait before desert which could be avoided.
We had the Captains Tasting menu, I am dairy free and no red meat and they accommodated that very well. Everything was about the attention to detail. I even had a stool to rest my purse upon!
The service was lovely, attentive and not the least bit stuffy.
Drinks are a bit pricy, so which out for the drinks bill!
Overall we spent 3 hours there and we enjoyed every minute!
Impeccable food and service. Has clearly earned its strong reputation and Michelin star
Over 1/2 hour wait between the two pastas?
As for the wine pairing ,,,, they might have well just used shot glasses ( the servings were so small)
Food was not impressive. We already told the waiter we don't like lambs and wanted more seafood but still got a lot of goat/sheep cheese dishes for the captain menu. We should have decided what we wanted to order ourselves and not let the waiter designed for us. Not enjoyable for mother's day dinner.
Took the family for Mother’s Day and it was beautiful. Food, wine and service was superb. A bit expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Will be back again.
Was here for Mothers day. I was quite disappointed with the food. I always ask for food to come out hot. But the food came out cold. Our pasta was cold so much so that that you could see the butter on it turning back to a solid. My lamb chops came out cold and I had to send it back. It came out a second time and was still cold. I was quite disappointed.
The meal was truly a culinary experience from the moment we sat down. We chose the 5 course menu, which was actually a very good amount of food, leaving both my wife and I perfectly content and ready for our Broadway show.
There are surprises at the beginning and the end of the meal that provide wonderful surprises with tastes that are truly unique and extraordinary.
My wife and I are huge fans of Carne Vino, another Mario Batali restaurant, located in the Palazzo in Las Vegas. The culinary experience there was our favorite, until we dined at Del Posto. This was our ultimate food experience. Mahalo for everything!
