Del Frisco’s never disappoints. It was nice to have an alternative to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
We visited for thanksgiving day. The cocktail drink I had was good but the turkey was not. The turkey was dry.
Started badly when we had no reservations on file, even though we were called twice the day before to remind us (yes, embarrassing).
The phone bar/code menu didn’t work and the wi if log in didn’t either.
Salad/soup course was okay.
Main course: rolled turkey roast instead of freshly roasted turkey - strange flavors and somewhat tough.
Sausage dressing was awful-worst ever.
Mashed potatoes and yams were very good, but we only got a small spoonful of each.
Pumpkin pie cheesecake was good and pecan pie was okay.
Bad/ nonexistent ambience due to excessively loud rock music playing. Hard to even talk to each other.
Worst Thanksgiving dinner ever and certainly not worth $120 incl tax and tip
All good but the deserts- expensive deserts that did not taste that good
Great waiter, great food.
Awesome experience. Always love going to DFG
Social distancing taken seriously....and the food awesome..the wine list great..and a beautiful gin martini
Horrible, awful service. Absolutely dreadful.
The fish was so bland I couldn’t eat it and the roasted chicken that my daughter ordered was like rubber. The food was terrible but our waiter was great. Should have to the Capital Grill
I had to ask for a glass of water 3 times. There were 2 of us. We shared an appetizer. We each had 3 glasses of house wine and their 3 shrimp and 4 oz filet meal. We order the steaks medium rare and they were burned to a crisp. The bill was $300!!! They asked us to leave because they closed at 8:00 pm. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
The food quality was not good. The Brussels sprout was hard and not crispy as stated. The Ahi Taco is not flavorful.
We’ve never had bad service or bad food here! Everything is amazing! I would highly recommend them!
Food was outstanding. Service was impeccable. A little pricey for the ambiance. Still a great meal.
Very good. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Our server made very good wine recommendations
Once again, service was stellar; absolutely phenomenal. Cheeseburger was too much with double patties and very messy. Tasted good, but would not order it again. Fried chicken sandwich was much better.
Please develop a better dessert menu. The current options are subpar. I had to have dessert elsewhere.
The food quality was not what it has been in the past. Steaks were well over done. It felt like you were chewing on leather. The truffle butter was not put on the steak, it was brought out after and didn’t melt over the steak because the food was lukewarm. Unfortunate this took place in a reputable dining establishment.
The waiter was prompt and tried to make up for the food by offering us dessert. He really did his best and his service ran smoothly. He had a friendly, professional demeanor.
Flawless dining experience. Steak salad, corn bisque, fried chicken sandwich, mac & cheese, and brussel sprouts were some of our favorites. Service was five stars. We were so pleased, we have already made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner. KUDOS to the chef, as well as to management. Thank you!
The salad was great
We wanted to make sure we were social distancing and that the establishment would follow precautions...they did on every front...excellent in all areas.....
Fantastic experience. Delicious food.
Gary, the Asst GM made our couples dinner and amazing experience. My guest shared a horrible experience they had at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle restaurant, and Gary made sure our group of 4 had an awesome time! Huge thanks to Gary and the Del Frisco’s Grille at Legacy West in Plano for excellent service.
We will definitely be back!
We went on Friday to celebrate my brothers birthday. We had a drink at the bar and then sat for dinner. We were excited to get the charcuterie board as that is one of his favorite things. When it came out we were all dumbfounded. It was literally something you could buy at the grocery store for $10. The “artisanal” cheeses were the cubed Colby jack, pepper jack, and cheddar cheeses you buy at the store and same with the prosciutto and salami. It was VERY disappointing.
The dinner was good but lacked basic seasoning.
Overall would come for a drink and the cheesesteak egg rolls during happy hour and then would go elsewhere for dinner.
The place and the service was amazing. But the food wasn’t good especially for the price. Good place for a date just a tad expensive for the taste.
Outstanding table service.
Thought I had a reservation at Del Frisco’s steak house vs Del Frisco grill. Definitely a little disappointed. Not the same at all in terms of service or ambience and yet the prices were basically the same
Steak egg rolls and crab cakes are both incredible for appetizers. We’ve had many of their entrees and all are good, salmon, beef stroganoff and filets are our normal choices. Love their patio!
Overall, the menu was not impressive. The crab cake appetizer was great. We also had the Cheesesteak Eggroll and the served portion was great. But, there was not a lot of meat inside. Soup of the day was French Onion. It was almost cold and had no cheese. No cheese????? My entree was the salmon. The dill sauce was great and the asparagus was a great accompaniment. Now the weird part: Without a request, the waiter brings the check to the table at 9 pm. I asked him if we were going to be able to look at the dessert menu. He said no oh, they were closing. WHAT?????? For a party of three, we just spent $300+ and you are going to close and not allow us to order drinks. Very sad overall.
The outside door had proper signage for mask guidance.
We were asked to put on our masks before they would seat us. We did comply with this since it was our anniversary. No need to cause an issue on this special day.
Once seated a booth away from the cooking line noticed that both cooks had there masks pulled down below there nose. I told the hostess that if we were required to wear a mask from the door to our rear then they should also ask there staff to comply with wearing there mask correctly while preparing food.
At that point she spoke with the cook and the seemed to comply at the time.
During the course of our meal the waiter was obviously new and didn’t know much from the menu and stumbled through our questions each step of the way. We started to notice what we believe to be staff sitting in plane clothes at the bar getting up unmasked and walking to the kitchen and thru the kitchen without proper protocols let alone taking any COVID protocols. She never wasted her hands or had a mask on.
This went on on more than one occasion. We received our food and it was decent for the price as expected. Being so close to the kitchen after complaining about there mask policy I couldn’t keep from looking at the cooks the remainder of the meal. While eating they had went back to partially wearing the masks and on more than one occasion I witnessed them eating in the cooking area. Not sure this is proper protocols.
A manager never came to our table and we will probably never revisit based on the inconsistency of health protocols they have chosen to follow or not follow.
I don’t think masks help but if asked I will comply but I expect your staff to do the same. This is very poor leadership from the top down.
Del Friscos you have a lot to work on at this location if you want my business in the future.
I always enjoy my time at Del Frisco’s . It’s a great place for brunch , lunch , happy hour or dinner . I just want y’all to bring the red sangria back Lol!
We went to Del Frisco’s Grill to celebrate a birthday. A reservation was made on Open Table and I booked the patio. When I arrived early to leave bday flowers for the table, the “manager” said that we couldn’t have the patio and they do not reserve the patio. Unfortunately the page did not state that. We were went somewhere earlier for drinks and had a lovely table so I walked to the restaurant to make sure we could sit on the patio (due to Covid). There was only one other guest on the patio so thankfully we were able to sit outside. Our server, Oscar was awesome — very attentive, knowledgeable and fun. Too bad the “manager” wasn’t like Oscar.
Birthday dinner. Wonderful service and food. Missing the lemon cake but Covid killed it.
When you order a filet medium, there should be no doubt it’s pink in the middle. When the guys got their steaks and they asked us to cut into them it was obvious they were overcooked - it’s awkward when you’re with others you don’t know well to complain. You don’t want to be known as that person. Later all of us agreed that the filet was no way close to 8oz and was not cooked well. Both of us have had such luck with this restaurant previously. Not sure what happened - not up to their normal standard. The halibut specials were good, not great. Swimming in olive oil! Brussel sprouts were great!
The food was outstanding as always, We sat outside and our table was behind the door so our server lost track of us after we finished our entrees and before we could order dessert and pay. We had to flag down another server.
We had a fantastic meal! Everyone in our party ordered a filet with varying finishing butter. The blue cheese butter was amazing. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet which was served at the correct temperature. The whole experience was great from start to finish!
We had a planing dinner here and it was a great evening. Food was excellent. Service was wonderful. Ambiance was quiet which is what we needed. The only complaint was that they close so early on weekdays and I didn’t realize this when I booked the reservation. Learn from my mistake and check times before booking. Look forward to coming back soon.
Server always makes a difference. This was our 2nd or 3rd Covid visit, and prior visits we obviously had relatively inexperienced staff. Not tonite, and it showed. Whether professionally offering upsell opportunities or tossing in a free dessert when redeeming $150 in Landry's Select $$ for a $126 check, she did a nice job. Thanks!
We love sitting on their patio. Great food and service every visit. Best crab cakes in the area. Love their steak egg rolls too. Never disappointed.
Food was great. Our server did a fantastic job. Would recommend and come back.
