Service, food and cocktails were impeccable. In the middle of a pandemic it was a surprise at how seamlessly everything flowed. Masks worn around the restaurant and by all staff, everything was spaced out and clean. Cannot stress enough how it still managed to feel like a carefree date night out even with all “the rules.” Bacon appetizer, porterhouse steak split between us, and a side of creamed spinach washed down with martinis and finished with butter cake...amazing with a capital A!
My only complaint was extremely minor as there were only a few of us seated upstairs. The couple next to us allowed their daughter to ride her scooter between the tables and up and down the isles. I understand it is a tough time for all right now but even the servers had to dodge the little girl. I was impressed that they maintained a smile on their face and kept moving with minimal disruption. That said, her actions distracted from the evening a bit.
Service was terrible. First and last time dining at this establishment.
My wife and I stayed at the Intercontinental hotel to celebrate our anniversary. The staff welcomed us and bid us a happy anniversary upon our arrival and seating. We opted for the bar seating and menu because we weren’t in the mood for steaks.
The Wagyu French dip had great depth of flavor and was very tender. The Au Jus was thicker than i was used to but delicious nonetheless. The Prime burger was cooked to perfection. It was tender, flavorful, and juicy. The French fries served with both dishes left a little to be desired. They tasted slightly overdone and a little dry.
I’m nitpicking a little with the fries but based on the restaurant I expected perfection on all fronts. Perhaps varied seasoning with seasoned salt, pepper, and some parsley or spring onions. Overall the starch did not ruin my evening.
Based on the staff, ambiance, and entrees, my wife and I will be back.
Thank you for a great evening, wish the staff a speedy recovery back to business as usual.
Was there for the reopening night. Food and service was great. Glad to be able to finally be out again.
Great night out before we flew home due to the Coronavirus shut down. Team was extra vigilant, yet with a friendly and positive attitude.
Amazing food a d excellent service!!
Sergio was a great waiter/host. Food was amazing!
Overrated, $80 steak,overcooked.
Will return For cocktails and order from Bar menu, pass on rest
Great restaurant! Awesome location. I look forward to dining again.
A lot of big groups dinning
Beautiful location with great views of the Bay. The expansive wine list is appreciated - even "by the glass" choices were great. Very friendly service and excellent food made this a great experience. We enjoyed the Ahi, fillet and caesar salad - thanks for not making it kale!
The food and service is very good, but the cost is rather high. 4 entrees with virtually no alcohol, no desserts, and only 3 salads was about $100 per person. They do have the best lobster bisque in town though.
cooked to perfection and excellent service..music was a bit loud so i asked if it could be lowered and it was lowered
I've dined at various Del Friscos in Dallas for 30+ years, even friended Dale Wamstead (original proprietor) along the way. My office is within walking distance of their new location at Legacy West in Plano TX, and I entertain clients there at least once per month and it is always a good experience. However, this location in San Diego is a whole different experience. They spent a ton of money on the interior, but it isn't comfortable. My wife and I sat at a large booth on an isle where you don't face each other, and the tabletop was a quartz surface and ice cold, way too big, and way too far away from the booth. My wife's salmon was flavorless and a bit overcooked on the outside yet raw in the middle. As for my "prime" NY Strip, no way it was prime, and a simple baked potato was overcooked. Worst meal I've had at any steakhouse that I can remember. Service was weak at best, but the worst part was the loud, tinny music as if someone turned the bass all the way down, treble all the way up, and set it 2-3x louder than it should be. I gave this review 2 stars in most categories because I've had worse restaurant experiences, although never in a high-end steakhouse. Their signature pineapple/vodka cocktail is really good. Problem is that there are LOTS of great steakhouses in San Diego, this just isn't one of them. So spare yourself a bad experience and pick something else.
We've been to DelFrisco's in NYC several times and the quality of the food and service is much better than in San Diego. Our waiter was nice but he may have gotten busy and forgot us a few times. Wine glasses stayed empty, some of the meals were luke warm. The restaurant has great potential and is in a prime location, so I hope the quality improves.
The service, food and view were incredible. My party had the best time and we will be back. Thank you!
Ambiance, food and service always great @ Del Frisco's...
Great service but the food was sub par for the price.
La comida no me.gusto tanto
