Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse - San Diego
Book your next event with us
Food is always delicious, and the drinks are on point. I highly recommend this spot for a nicer night out!
The food was very delicious! Our waiter was very helpful in selecting our meal. Overall a great experience. They definitely made our valentines weekend a good one!
WoW factor from beginning to end. Service, food, ambiance, cant beat it. Kudos to landry’s for hiting it out of the park with your double eagle steakhouse...oh...did I mention the butter cake...double WoW, a definate must have!!!
This was our second time at this location and everything was absolutely wondering from the wait staff to the dessert.
Chicken wasn’t all that
If I could describe it in one word. Phenomenal! Food here is excellent and there is an extensive wine selection to choose from. It is probably impossible to leave Del Frisco’s disappointed , the service and food compliment each other perfectly our server was very attentive and we had a good time.
Our waiter drew was hands down the most helpful waiter I’ve ever had in my life would most definitely recommend!!!
Ruined Valentine’s Day.
The flavor of the steaks was exceptional. They overcooked one of our steaks then undercooked it when they brought a new on to us. The new one however had probably 5 oz of fat on the steak. You don’t purchase a $70 steak to have that amount of fat on the steak.
Everything was great, for sure I’ll come back again
Just was to cold and windy to have dinner outside and the heaters wasn’t enough
This is our new go-to steakhouse in San Diego. We always celebrate our special occasions here. We've yet to be disappointed in any aspect -- food, service, timeliness. It was a bit noisy on our last visit BUT -- it was Valentine's day and very crowded/busy.
We ended having dinner in the bar area our Waiter/Bartender was very attentive to us.
Had a great lunch with an old friend. Business lunch was perfect, a wonderful salad and beef tenderloins for about $35.00.
I had a Landry’s gift card and was excited to see Del Frisco’s on their website. I had no idea where there was a Landry’s location in San Diego, but I am from Dallas so was familiar with Del Frisco.
Unfortunately, the great afternoon had a damper when I was told “they didn’t take Laundry’s gift cards for a few more days. They are apparently just acquired. I was ok with it, but think they SHOULD NOT LIST ON WEBSITE if they weren’t ready to take the gift card.
Dry aged burger came out hard as a hockey puck after request for medium rare. Bartender/server was great & conscientious, but it’s pretty bad to mess up a lunch burger.
Very impressed with the decor of the restaurant upon arrival. We were originally sat down Stuart a small table and asked for a larger table. The hostess was very cooperating with our request. Sat upstairs at a window table. Very nice.
Ordered the double eagle steak. Very interesting taste. Much different that what we were accustomed to be very good. Lobster Mac and cheese was light on the lobster and a little dry. Service was excellent. Will definitely return.
It's about time the best steakhouse in the US made it out to the West Coast. The food was incredible as always! The staff was very attentive and friendly. You won't find a better steak anywhere!
Went there for our son's birthday - I had the crab cakes (best I've had on the West coast!) and my husband and son had the fillet. I had a bite of the fillet- AMAZING!! Additionally, they brought out a really nice birthday dessert for the table that was beautiful and more than enough for the 3 of us. We ended up canceling out dessert plans because we were so full! This place definitely gives any steak house in town a run for its money!!!
Beautiful view from the 2nd floor
Most importantly, beautiful food
not worth the money, unprofessional service and average food quality
The steak was completely overpriced and was not very good. I ordered the 45 day dry aged rib eye and could not believe how below average it actually tasted. There was ton of seasoning on the steak but it still just tasted bland. The cut should have tasted much better. Service and staff were good but I would not return or recommend to a friend.
The place is spectacular, contemporary decor in good taste. The service was friendly and nice, but slow. The food Was over cooked.
Cristina la mesera nos dio un excelente servicio y trato
Delicioso, y muy buena ubicación.
Of course we know steak houses are expensive, but at least the quality of everything should be outstanding. Even if you are not choosing beef, the other items should be well prepared. Our tuna and chicken were overcooked and disappointing. Steak prices were $50 to 75 and more! Not so great as to be worth the price.
Good all around!
Probably the best dining experience we’ve ever had! The location, outside dining comfortable even on a chilly night, the service, quality and selection of food and amazing wine list were all outstanding! The sommelier was also very helpful and personable. It was all terrific and I would highly recommend Del Frisco’s
Amazing food. The crab appetiser was sweet, and incredible. Our meals were works of art and incredible. The butter cake finish was by far one of the best deserts we have ever had. The service was outstanding. This is our new favorite restaurant.
At some point at steakhouse is a steakhouse is a steakhouse. Del Frisco’s doesn’t seem to do anything differently than any other prime steakhouse. Wedge with blue cheese and bacon. Same as all the rest. Filet was a bit fatty but tasty. $4 for a tablespoon of béarnaise sauce seems steep. Wine service took a long time and for $35.00 a glass you’d expect the white wine to be served in a white wine glass. I was really looking forward to trying Del Frisco’s and I’ll probably try it again. Waiter was a touch pompous but that was to be expected.
Came here for Restaurant Week January 2020. After some difficulty in finding the place all was well...It is just just of the Midway basically at PCH and Broadway at Broadway Pier with views of the Bay. The environment was nice and classy, not noisy with nice background music. I had the mixed salad, 6oz steak and the chocolate moose which was to die for. We'll be back, a pleasant afternoon.
We are San Diego Downtown locals & went for Restaurant Week lunch with local friends. We all regularly visit Flemings & Cowboy Start Downtown.
Upgraded to 45 day aged rib eye (shared with wife), with lobster bisque starter & chocolate mousse dessert. All the food & wine was well prepared & good value for San Diego on Restaurant Week deal.
Very good bisque & excellent mousse.
Friends enjoyed their cheesecake.
Enjoyed view over Lane Field & the harbor.
Service was fine.
Should have gotten cappuccino instead of coffee with dessert.
Overall a good choice for Restaurant Week.
We had been to this restaurant a number of times and always had very good food and service.
We returned on Sunday and while the service with Ken was great ...the food was not.
We ordered the filet medium rare and it arrived almost raw.
After sending it back ...it arrived medium rare ...but it was chewy and tasteless.
The lobster bisque was over salted and had very little lobster in it.
The cheesecake dessert was tasteless.
We were very surprised and disappointed and will not return to the restaurant for lunch or dinner.
We heard that Landry’s has taken the restaurant and wonder if the change in food quality is because of that.
We will stick to having appetizers and drinks in the bar area in the future.
Staff was friendly! Food was definitely!
While I've heard great things about the food I thought the restaurant week menu was lacking. Crab cakes were very mayonnaise heavy, and not wowed by the food overall sadly. We also got placed upstairs outside at 8pm and it just wasn't the experience I would have expected as the main dining room is more luxurious. Service was great.
Very good lunch menu for restaurant week
Food and service were great. My girlfriend loved her Salmon and my filet was exceptional.
Great food! Excellent for restaurant week!
The water was good.
We went for restaurant week and really enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter, Giovanni, was knowledgeable and engaging, the food was very good. We sat out on the patio and even though it was a cool evening it was comfortable.
We didn’t get what we ordered, the quality of the food was bad. My lobster bisque was cold, my crab cakes were warm at best, we didn’t complain about it. Just very disappointed. When the manager asked my husband how dinner was he did say it was the worst steak he had ever tasted. He didn’t eat his steak.
This was our third visit. Thank goodness we will be visiting New York in a couple of weeks and will be able to have a nice dinner there
Overall Del Frisco’s New York #1
Del Frisco’s Dallas #2
Del Frisco’s San Diego (Not worth it)
Great view and service
