Never a disappointment
Had reservation, however, server was rude and never came to our table. When we called her over she told us “You were a walk-in and didn’t have a reservation and just sat down at a table”. ??? We had a reservation and were told which table to go to when we finished our drink at the bar. Service was poor the entire meal even after the manager offered his apology. Food was good, atmosphere good, overall frustrating dining experience.
Our waiter was great and so was the food. We will be back.
Our server was wonderful. Full stop. My meal, however, was not up to Del Frisco’s standards. If it hadn’t been a full business meeting for lunch, I would have sent it back, but I was with clients and didn’t want to be difficult. Steak was ordered med well; it came med rare. For me, that’s inedible. The chateau potatoes were cold. I got the biz lunch for $27.50 to have 18 green beans and cold potatoes.
Everyone enjoyed their food and the view of Dallas. It was Mother’s Day and although we had reservations my party still waited an additional 45 minutes. But it’s understandable as the restaurant was very busy.

We waited one hour for our appetizers and and didn't start getting our entrees until over 90 minutes from sitting down. I realize it was Mother's Day and the place was packed but they should have planned for more kitchen and serving crews. I doubt I'll be back as the food was just OK.
Terrible service - waiter came by total of 4 times, and one of those was to apologize that one of our food items never made it out. Said he would make it up by getting us dessert, but then didn’t even show up again for the check! Took 45 min for him to come by to get our order. Food came out 1 he after we sat down (with items missing) We had to get up and ask for the check at the front so we could leave 1.5 hr after arriving. Disaster meal!

First of all, I will apologize for our menu selection. I believed, erroneously that choosing a combo meal ( a tasting ? ) would provide some insight into flavors of both land and sea of the more fulfilling sized dishes.
Not so much! We chose two tasting dinners, one a filet with lobster, and the second a filet with salmon. As I said we expected a small but highly regarded examples of the full meal. A mistake. First, in both cases a poorly seasoned filet mignon. Then a serving of lobster with a consistency of calamari. The salmon however, was good but still short on seasoning. Cooked medium it had a good flaky texture.
Potatoes au gratin were fine, nicely cooked and cheesy. But we are purists so chopped potatoes are not sliced potatoes, ruining the texture of the dish. A nice wedge salad plus a very good flaky and amazingly seasoned crab cake appetizer started the meal. A couple of drinks plus wine and we enjoyed the dinner the best we could. Service was great but spotty. That means Bryan did great work when he came by but perhaps staffing shortages left little room for attentiveness.
Overall, my first experience at Del Friscos Double Eagle Uptown Dallas compares unfavorably to my experience at Del Friscos Grille in Southlake.
Amber, Dan, and Mike are always tops when it comes to service at Del Frisco's! We had a beautiful Mother's Day lunch and the food was excellent as usual.

Everything was excellent! The food was phenomenal. And my mommie had a great time on Mother’s Day! 💐
So disappointing! Poor service because they cannot manage large parties and neglect the smaller one’s. Upper floor management made excuses. Party of 7 took 2 and 1/2 hours with not apps and minimal drink orders. Very very disappointed!!!
Great service as always, and at a time when it seems like all other restaurants could care less about cleaning it’s always immaculate here.
The "ambience" just isn't what it used to be. The exclusive feel just isn't there anymore. Waiters are overworked and stressed, it's loud and over crowded. Attention to details is gone.
Maybe on a week night is a better choice.

We went the day behind Mother's Day, and had an ok time. Our waiter was pleasant, and friendly. The food was ok not great. I had to send my steak back, because it was not cooked right the first time. To top it off, we get home, and the next morning I get a charge for $830.50. They charged us twice. The bill was $380.50, and we just made it $450 even to give a tip. We called the rest Sunday and we were told by manager Lindsey she would call back, but she didn't. So we called back Monday evening, and told my husband she's already pulled the ticket and our money would be refunded in 10-14 days. She didn't want to offer my husband nothing for our inconvenience, so I called back to get her last name, and corporate office phone number. She told me they could figure out her last name but they don't offer anything even if they are in the wrong. My husband's first time, and he never wants to go back. He says Bob's Steaks and Chops, Morton's, or Three Forks are still the best in Dfw. I agree, because there service and food have never disappointed in in the years we've been going. It's so unfortunate that a manager would be so rude, and unconcerned that customers aren't getting what they are paying for.
You must go! Try not to drink too many signature drinks which is The V.I.P. it is the best drink they have.

Excellent food. Dined in late. Despite not being as dressed as nice as the rest of the clientele, the restaurant provided us with the same exceptional service as everyone else.
From the beginning our waiter was very disconnected and was not even speaking to us.
Finally, takes our order for drinks.
35 mins later. We get out drinks.
30 mins later, we get the wrong food made for us.
He then slams out steak knives down on the table next to each of our plates, one by one slamming the knives down. I had to tell him to be careful and slow down with the knives.
Wait a another 40 mins for our food to come.
My steak was extremely small for an 8 oz, and not medium cooked like I asked.
Overall time spent there - 3 hours for the worst service.
Really enjoyed our dinner there and the view was increíble from the patio! The manager checked in on our party and made sure everything was handled and that attention was increíble.

We ordered the porterhouse and it was cooked perfectly! The au gratin potatoes were delicious too. If, You dine here frequently then you know the VIP cocktail is a must!! The outdoor patio is nice for dinner and our waitress was great

Lobster Mac & Cheese.....if there is such a thing as a heavenly dish, this is it! Cheesecake and an Espresson Martini to top it all off? Hell yes! Can't wait to go back!
Great food and service. Only thing is every time I go there is a hostess who is so rude. She has curly brown/blonde hair. It really sets the tone off upon arrival. Luckily the servers are great.
I frequent this restaurant regularly but every now and then the kitchen struggles to cook a steak at the right temperature but overall it’s always a great experience. Executive Chef could spend quality time with line cooks to ensure steaks are cooked perfectly the first time every time. Easier said than done but practice makes perfect!
This was a fantastic restaurant to take my wife to for our 25th wedding anniversary. The food, staff, & atmosphere was wonderful. Everything that we could of hoped for!

The lobster bisque was amazing and the scallops were to die for. I had the best tiramisu I have ever had. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal and cocktails.
It was our 5th wedding anniversary and the staff made the occasion so special.
This was our second time to dine here and it was just as good as a first! We had the tuna tartare, lobster mac & cheese ribeye/scallop special and the sea bass. Our service was quick and attentive. We had a nice window booth and enjoyed watching all the nice cars pull up and people watching in general.
Our food was prepared perfectly, our waitress was absolutely wonderful and answered all of our questions.
One would expect going to the best steakhouse in Dallas that they would know how to properly cook a steak. We both had to send ours back twice. It wasn’t worth the hassle to keep sending them back. The waiter and manager said they would “take care of us”. Did nothing to adjust our bill and sent us home with a piece of cheesecake. Nice but not what would be expected of Del Friscos.
