Nice service and ambience, not for the food
Awesome service and servers and host were all wearing masks so felt very safe.
We were celebrating our honeymoon date with another couple. Covid canceled our original wedding and honeymoon. We hadn’t been out much so we’re looking forward to del Friscos and the double eagle in particular.
I ordered the combo NY strip and lobster tail. The waiter didn’t even ask how I wanted my steak cooked. I had to stop him to tell him. It was one of the worst steaks I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I’ve been to many del Friscos including this one multiple times. I didn’t even finish half the steak.
I understand it wouldn’t be quite as good as the porterhouse. But any steak on the menu I expect to be superb. That’s what del Friscos is known for. The steak was awful. It looked like fajita meat. My fiancé even commented before I cut it that it looked like something from outback.
For a $700 meal. I’d expect everything to be flawless. The wine was great. My fiancé’s sea bass was excellent. The other couple split a porterhouse which was great.
I expected steak and lobster at a double eagle to be just as good. It wasn’t.
The staff also didn’t do anything for our honeymoon. They congratulated us when walking in. My fiancé made several comments about how she was disappointed they didn’t bring champagne or a cake slice.
Our friends spent $275 on a bottle of wine to toast us. So it wouldn’t have killed the restaurant to send something.
The restaurant was also half capacity because of covid. So no reason to not take extra care or have a perfect steak.
Long review but I won’t be back to del Friscos. Too many other high end steak options to waste another celebration here. The first time I’ve had a bad experience but with capital grille , Fleming’s and bobs all within a quarter mile I’d rather let them have the business.
Del Frisco Plano never disappoints! Great food and our server Christian was outstanding! Looking forward to coming back soon...
Steak was over cooked ...otherwise was very good.
The restaurant did not smell appetizing. It’s either dirty carpet or wiping the tables with nasty rags. A restaurant of this caliber should not have this problem. How can management not notice the smell? We are not picky diners, but this was a real disappointment.
Our waiter was very accommodating and provided exceptional service.
My Favorite in DFW. Great amazing food and classy service. Good wine list and hand crafted cocktails.
Great experience, service and food was delicious.
Thank you for a wonderful Anniversary. Our waitress was great.
Food was amazing and service was awesome. Great anniversary dinner.
Good food and great service. Was very accommodating during a pandemic and had customers spaced apart. Very clean and had sanitation set up for use.
Once again Del Frisco has knocked it out of the park with food and service! We enjoyed my birthday celebration in the private room where Patrick excelled at service with everything from timing to suggestions to opening the door to managing 7 beautiful silly women! Even when the filet medallion meals came out cold, Patrick whisked them away and returned fairly quickly with our super hot meals!
The GM was an absolute joy to pop in and check on us and compliment us consistently and genuinely. We enjoyed the extra attention! Again, another perfect evening at Del Frisco’s - Thank you for making my birthday celebration the best ever during this Covid time! Hugs, Janice
The food is obviously a positive, but the service was the KEY! That was exceptional! Especially as the world reopens...great to be treated with such care and authenticity. Made my son's 16th bday very special.
Unfortunately very slow service.
This was an expensive meal that was not worth the price at all. Perhaps the quality was very bad because it was Father's Day - can't tell as it was our first visit to this location. The shrimp cocktail had some of the waste left in it. My daughter was allergic to a side that came with the meal but they would not substitute the side - they would just leave it out and if you wanted a different side, they said you had to order one of their other $12-19 sides. I have never heard of this before. The filet mignon was nothing to write home about as it was very bland and tasteless. At $57 for just the steak, you would expect some taste. The drinks were good, but the correct quantity should be added to the bill. And it was not even crowded when we went. I just don't think we will be back with so many options in our area.
Great service, Great Food
We went for Father’s Day, and it was our first time at DF Double Eagle. Loved the experience, from the service to the cocktails and food. Everything was delicious, and our 3yo said the meatball appetizer was the “best meatball ever!” Thanks for making our Father’s Day memorable!
Celebrating Father’s Day
Always a treat. Butter cake is the best thing ever!
First time to the Plano location....
Food was great- Emily was awesome! We had the Father’s Day special and it was a don’t pass up suggestion!!! Amazing.
I was disappointed (we made a reservation mid week) and that we were seated on the bar side. I was expecting more dark and romantic like I saw was on the other side of the restaurant. Maybe next time I should request that side in the reservation.
Beyond that- it did meet all of my expectations food and service wise.
Our waiter James was phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. In addition, he was personable. Chris, the manager came and introduced himself and was a joy to interact with. Del Frisco’s is our favorite steakhouse, and we look forward to going back!
