Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - Philadelphia
Disappointing as a dining experience, particularly with so many good steak houses nearby. Nothing excellent or exceptional (in a positive way). Entrees good. All else okay at best.
To start off the experience, were placed at a table near the entrance to the kitchen so we were able to see every mop, broom and bus pan whiz by all night. And talk about noisy! The service was atrocious; it felt like being at the Cheesecake Factory where you’re just a number without any personal touch. I even had to ask if there were any specials and the cost of the seafood platter!. The food was average but for the cost I would much rather be at Butcher and Singer or Barclay Prime. The building is beautiful, though.
Food was excellent as usual! Also, Keaton was an excellent server!!!!!
Had a great time! Service is spot on!! They go above and beyond to make you feel great. The food is out of this world. Agustin was extra special to us and made us feel very comfortable. Management is present and so are the other servers who approached our table to ask if we needed anything. Best birthday dinner.
enjoyed our dinner, first time at this location
excellent quality, great experience and service.
I did feel the price of the proteins to be fair and consistent for this level of dining, however I think the appetizer salads and meal sides were a bit on the pricy side.
The butter cake dessert was one of kind absolutely delicious!!
It was excellent as usual. Immaculate service and dining. My all time favorite restaurant. I'm cheating myself by not trying other entrees but the Bone-In Ribeye (My favorite cut of steak) always calls me! Again enjoyed as always
My waitress name was Julie and she was excellent! She treated us as if we were her immediate family. I would recommend Julie to everyone that dines here. She was the best!
Del Frisco's was like most high end steakhouse chains, it overpromises and under delivers. It wasn't bad but the experience as a whole was comparable, if not less than, any average restaurant. These chains are rarely consistent and we find the center city Philadelphia locations less satisfying than comparable chains in the suburbs.
It was our 8 year anniversary, which I had specified. We waited forever to get our order taken, then our appetizer never came. Our dinner came fast and was good but we waited a long time in between for dessert which I thought they would’ve done something special since I watched everyone around us blow out candles on beautiful desserts, but we did not receive anything like that. Overall, not our best experience here, I expected way more.
I love Del Friscos. Food is always great. Service is always great. Now that Landry’s has purchased the drinks aren’t as strong and top shelf skyrocketed. Grey goose cosmo went from $17 to $23! Really Landry’s 30%??
We do DelFriscos on our anniversary ever year and we are never disappointed. We have our favorites (VIP, calamari, creamed spinach) but always find something new that we swoon over (duck confit meatballs and uptown Del potato).
Food is top notch, we always get a great server and the people watching is fun.
I went to Del Frisco to celebrate our 18th marriage anniversary. This is the downtown Philly location, it’s in the very busy part of town and parking will be hard to find and expensive especially on weekends. The restaurant in self set an a historic building very beautifully designed, Great concierge and reception and we did not have to wait long I recommend prior reservation. The service is top notch and our waiter was on top of his game, he knew the menu and recited the specials of the night and made suggestions if we weren’t familiar with some of the menu. The food took a bit long to come out but it was very delicious, The steak was cooked to perfection, my wife ordered the salmon and she never had a better cooked fish than that. The surrounding was great but it was on a noisy side which will depend on how you like your settings. The price was a bit inflated but for us we didn’t mind since we are celebrating our anniversary. Overall I definitely recommend Del Frisco for your special occasion or if you have a business meeting and want to impress. I am definitely going back.
OUr server was wonderful, food was great. A little noisy, but it was a busy night.
Girl trip to Philadelphia Flower show
Waiter was GREAT!!! 18 oz. Lobster was $108 and was tough and tasteless. The filet mignon was very tender. It was my birthday and I was given a birthday surprise...for FREE!!!
Excellent service, predictable highest quality food.
The Finest Steakhouse In Philadelphia
Perfectly cooked steak. Great service.
The porterhouse steak at $75 was a disappointment. The fillet side was very, very fatty, and the strip side was full of grizzle.
I enjoy a nice lunch for my Birthday. It was not too busy or noisy. The food was timed perfectly. Shared a lunch salad and had the salmon over crab hash with a side of potatoes. I was wonderful suprised with a butter cake that is to die for for my Birthday as well
Great evening with an old friend. Pricey, but worth it!
Great bar to have an opening drink. Menu is diverse and very good. Service was impeccable, and an extensive wine list. A local favorite.
The location and food were fabulous. Still disappointed in the rewards program and how it was handled but we made the best of it
I was immediately dissatisfied with our seating, which was the first table located at the entrance/door. The table location felt very impersonal, and drafty.
I ordered my steak “medium well.” However, it came out “medium rare.” I sent it back, and it was still medium rare. I did not bother sending it back for a second time. The potatoes in the cheesy potatoes dish were practically uncooked. On the other hand, my family members who ordered the crab cakes said, they were very good.
It was a birthday celebration. The noise was very loud. Every time I spoke I had to repeat myself so that my table could hear. Our waitress did a shift change and didn’t even warn us. So there was a gap in time for us placing our orders. We were sat by the noisy kitchen also. For this to be high brand I was expecting better ambiance. I also felt like I was being rushed through my meal. Not the greatest experience. I was going to suggest a business gathering but now I don’t know.
Everything is always fabulous when we are there. From the service to the ambiance and of course the food. Always outstanding and we highly recommend this restaurant to one and all.
Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time!
Had a great meal, specials were awesome, wine was great
Our server, Peter, made sure our dining experience was pleasant & enjoyable. The persons who served our steaks made sue that the steaks were done to our preference. The manager also came by to ask how was everything. Although a little pricey, the service at this restaurant was simply outstanding. Thank you.
I had the 45 day dry aged prime ribeye. The steak was amazing. Our server was great and every side and app was spot on. Go there, you won’t regret it!
Anwar was great!!!! Very knowledgeable and helpful
service was ok, food was ok except the steak had way too much butter on it
My wife and I made reservations for our anniversary and the food was great! Next time we’ll ask to be seated upstairs. Downstairs was a little too tight and loud. But overall it was a pleasant experience.
Waitstaff was amazing Frank was just so nice and took care of us, the food was a little disappointing, the calamari was Luke warm.
Wonderful dinner as usual! Sat upstairs for the first time loved it up there. So cozy in the booth.!
Food was ok but grossly overpriced. Restaurant was WAY too packed and WAY too loud.
We dined here for our 11 year wedding Anniversary and it was amazing! Great service, great atmosphere and amazing food. We will definitely be back. And will highly recommend them to anyone who asks. Thank you again for making our special day even more special!!
Not impressed. I've been to Del Frisco's several times and it just seems as though the atmosphere is on the decline. The TVs at the bar that's in the main dining room makes it feel more like a sports bar than a high end Steakhouse.
