Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House - Fort Meyers
Fantastic period !!!
Bradley our waiter was very attentive and pleasant.
Noisy but nice
If you’re looking for fabulous seafood this is the place to go!!! 😉
Beautiful place to have dinner. Our server did an excellent job. it was a little loud and my wife's dinner which was suppose to have garlic in it did not have much taste at all.
The other three meals were delicious! I'd definitely eat there again.
Very average..........This is the 2nd time I have been to this restuarant. The menu is great, Fish selection is great, however the services was very poor, the noise level was so loud you could not talk to the people at your table without raising your voice. We reserved outdoor seating but were seated inside as that was all they had available. There was no social distancing by the restaurant staff. Not sure we will be back. I ordered my fish broiled and it was sauteed instead.
We drove right past the place twice. Keeps your eyes peeled. We were seated outside overlooking a boat yard. It was a cool evening and the outdoor heaters did their best but not enough of them and the one closest to us ran out of gas quickly. Food was good for the most part. The Stuffed Hogfish was very good. The fried oysters . . not so much. Black grouper sandwich was outstanding.
Service and food was great as usual! Thank you
Seated quickly, then things moved at a nice tempo. Helpful wait people. Awesome fish entrees as well as meals where you pick you fish, portions size, your preparation, your sides. Cant wait to eat here again.
Great food!
Love the waterside setting and great seafood and drinks. Great service and lots of activity. Be sure to go back.
If making a reservation here and you reserve for "outside". That's not guaranteed, you are only telling the restaurant your preference. They will sit you where ever they want.
We have been here a few times before and always enjoyed it, especially the outside dining.
The food was good which is why we came back. This time was different. I had requested an outside table which I did not realize was not an automatic even if that is what I asked for. It was very crowed and very noisy. One of our
meals had not been ordered so he had to wait while the rest of us ate so the food would not be cold.
Disappointed, not sure we will be back very soon.
Disappointed in Deep Lagoon. Seated at a table that was nearly in a passageway. Continually got bumped and jostled by wait staff and patrons walking by our table. Had requested an outdoor table but was seated indoors. One of o9ur party never received his salad. Another had dirty silverware (sign of a dirty kitchen?) and had to wait to eat until clean dinnerware was delivered. One entre was skimpy while others were adequate. Wait staff was busy beyond what was reasonable. Felt like a number - just hurry and leave so another party can be seated.
Very busy that day. They didn’t seem prepared for it
Disappointed in food service and cleanliness
extremely noisy, waiter unattentive,
It was my birthday and celebrated with my wife. Our server Rachel was wonderful, excellent service with a smile and provided very good recommendations. The food was excellent and and the restaurant treated me with a free slice of key lime pie for my birthday. We were seated outside on the floating deck where the boats were moored, which wasn’t the best location but was satisfied that these extra tables were sufficiently distanced from each other, at least 10 feet.
With so many good seafood restaurants in Ft Myers, we finally tried Deep Lagoon. The extensive menu was impressive and our selections - Tropical Mahi and Blackened Snapper - were excellent. Will be adding Deep Lagoon as one of our favorites!
The restaurant was totally packed! In fact we ended up seating at the bar. I think, they were overbooked.
I was surprised the bar was full too, no COVID restrictions like we see in Miami Beach or Boston (especially Boston).
I had a really good Mahi-Mahi with mango sauce and my husband had Sword Fish. His fish was OK and he didn't like it much. It was a little too raw for our taste.
Great food. Did nothing for a 63rd birthday that we mentioned. But overall, very good.
Great food prepared well. If you like fresh seafood this is the place!
Amazing dinner! Made reservations so had a minimal wait. Highly satisfied
As always, a great meal!
Great experience. Absolutely everything we ordered was delicious! The blue crab croquettes, the crab rangoon and grouper fingers best starters I have tasted. I’m an oyster fan and their oyster selection was of quality.Service was good as well. For the quality of the food, the price was spectacular. I could easily say this is one of the best seafood restaurants I have been in years.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We enjoyed the Small Plate options (Crab Rangoon & PEI Mussels) and the special of the day-yellowtail snapper with blue cheese risotto and grilled asparagus. The Key Lime Pie was tart and tasty!
Waiter was attentive. Service was fast. Food was very good. Ambiance was as expected in a moderately priced seafood restaurtant. Recommend without hestiation.
I made reservations on Open table for a table outside and stated that it was for a 70th birthday. I was very disappointed that they sat us inside next to the kitchen and never even mentioned my mother-in-law’s birthday. We had dropped her off at the front door and she was already seated when we came in. I would have said something if I had been the one to check in. It was a good meal but again, I was just disappointed with the service.
For dinner, we got the Captains platter (the grouper was fishy), steak, cedar plank salmon and mahi mahi. It was all pretty good. We got the take home key lime pie (completely missing flavor).
Birthday celebration
We made a reservation days in advance for an outside table only to find ourselves being seated inside and no outdoor tables available . We were seated inside where tables were practically on top of each other , so close we could hardly move in our seats. This is totally unacceptable during a pandemic!
In addition, one entree came to the table cold, and other items we ordered we delivered incorrectly.
This is a great place to dining and have drink with friends.
Love the location on the water so the ambiance was excellent. The service wad friendly and efficient so top notch. However my wife and I disappointed in the food. We shared a bowl of lobster bisque but it had very little taste. Her risotto was very gummy even after the waiter offered some lobster bisque to loosen it up. I have the special and it was Luke warm. Well give it another try to see if the food quality improves.
Great place to eat!
Valet was great. Server was inattentive
I was billed through American Express for the cost of the meal but I include a generous tip that was NOT reflected in my Amex billing statement, I am trying to figure out how to get the tip to the server who was excellent,
It was our first time to the area. The mahi Rachel was perfect. My taco shells were too hard to pick up. The beans and potatoes were the best part.
Best seafood preparation in Ft. Myers. Great location. Will return soon.
We come here once a week for great seafood! This time we. came for a friends birthday. The food was on point and our waiter was great!!
Outdoor dining
The food was overcooked and dry. The portions were just below average for a seafood restaurant. The valet attendant retrieved my car but it was facing the wrong way to exit the parking lot.
