Very disappoint in the food. Always been so good. However, it was lunch, not dinner. It was also served downstairs because a activity was to take place upstairs later than afternoon. When I made our reservations, there wasn't any notice that upstairs dining would not be available. We'll be returning but cautious about insuring we are in the upstairs eating area.

Ambiance of the lake continues wonderful. Waitress was excellent. Very few customers that day.

This has become our new "go to" place of choice. The quality of the food is superb! The service is usually really great too. The hostesses need a little brush up with their customer service skills, but we go for the food and our company anyway. I definitely recommend the dates wrapped in bacon, and their Brussel sprout appetizers! Enjoy!

Beautiful location, went for dinner on a Saturday night - sunset. Enjoyed several appetizers a cocktail and a bottle of wine. Portions were generous - so for the three of us, after indulging in the amazing appetizers we ordered two specialty salads and a main dish and were well satisfied. The chicken with risotto was amazing! Staff was helpful, kind and smiling from the front desk to the wait staff.

We arrived 15 minutes early only to be “forgotten” then seated a little late. We opted for the Sunday Brunch. The food was ok. Nothing like the menu items which are good. The gravy was chilly, the muscles were delicious, the clams were gritty and the prime rib was amazing. We were disappointed in the slow service.

Overall I’d say it was fine but next time we’ll order from the menu.

A nice buffet with a carving station and tableside beverage service with endless mimosas. Only downside was the very bright light coming in through floor-to-ceiling, uncovered windows. It was pretty hard on the eyes and couldn't be avoided. Other than that, a great experience!

This was my second visit, first was better. Although tour first visit my daughter was on crutches, I dropped her off at the door but no one helped her Iin, so she waited for me in the cold. This time, our meals were ok, not too memorable. Hubby got the Coippino, wasn’t impressed. I had the lamb chops, they were good, but not great. Had the chocolate cake for dessert, not too sweet, so if your looking for an over the top chocolate dessert, this wasn’t it, But my hubby liked it. Table layout was a bit odd, someone asked to be moved because they were too close to us and lacked privacy. Overall it was quite loud. The price, setting and decore makes you feel like it’s an upscale restaurant, however it’s loud like a local bar.

The cioppino was very fishy flavored. It is usually my husband's favorite, but he could hardly eat it. Two of us had the fish of the day and it was excellent.
Also, this is the second time that we have taken guests to the Decoy for dinner that the light show was not working. People really enjoy it, so very disappointed when it is not shown.

The food was fabulous, as was our waiter. My girlfriend and I were celebrating a delayed Valentine's Day dinner and I really wanted it to be a romantic experience for us. Half way thru our meal the hostess seated at least five young children and their parents next to us. The parents allowed some of their children to run around the restaurant and a few times the kids were screaming. For this type of restaurant to allow that type of behavior is unacceptable. The Decoy is not an inexpensive place to eat and therefore I expected more of an adult experience at 8-9 in the evening. I do like kids and have grand children of my own so this isn't about not liking kids, more about a total lack of ambiance for an adult dinner. Such a great place to eat and such a bad experience.

Everything was great, food was priced reasonably and the stash was cooked to perfection. Service was top notch. My only complaint would be the desert which left a little bit to be desired. But I guess you can’t complain to much about a 10 dollar berry mouse. Will definitely be back many more times

Arrived for dinner a little early and went to bar to have cocktails and appetizers. Ordered Lemon Drops and Octopus. The drinks were poorly made and just tasted like sour mix with no sugar on the rim. The second one was a little better, but the glass was only a little more than half full and because there was a different bartender. The octopus was not cooked all the way, very tuff as well as not hot. For dinner we had the Valentines menu. The oyster appetizer was not good and we only got one. The wedge salad was wilted, a few old red onion slices and no dressing, we had to ask for more. What happen to the wedge with bacon bits, blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese dressing??? Then came the filet mignon and what a disappointment. All 3 of us ordered the steak med and all came med well and well done, plus all were different a size and what ever was under the steaks was terrible. Unfortunately I will never return as well as will not refer to friends and family. For what they charge for a meal the food should have been excellent. The only good thing in this experience was our waitress and good wine.

Valentines dinner was not the normal 5 Star experience you would Hope for. Cocktails were very good. Food was pretty good but far from great. Dessert was hugely disappointing (pop rocks on top of meringue over a few crumbs of chocolate cake???). Restaurant is extremely loud so much you have to lean in to hear your partner speak. Some reason the laser show on the lake did not appear to be running.

Valentines Day dinner with my love. The food was ok. I’ve had better, but overall it’s a nice spot tucked away in a nice secluded area with a great view overlooking the lake. I enjoyed the live music and the ambiance was very nice. I’m not sure if I would suggest this place. I’m somewhat reluctant to eat here for the price. I figured if I’m going to pay the kind of money for the food they’re serving then it should be the best food in the city. We ordered the calamari for staters which was good. I ordered the blackened salmon as an entree which was blackened on the skin portion but not on the salmon meat itself. I also asked for it to be cooked well-done but it wasn’t. It was still raw in the middle. My wife ordered the scallops which were not that great. The sweet potato sauce just didn’t work with the scallops It would’ve tasted better with some type of tomato based sauce. Like I said, I’ve had better. I gave this place an average rating but I wouldn’t suggest eating any entrees here. Maybe starters.

Our bar tender was very knowledgeable and made a perfect mixed drink. Our server was outstanding. He took the time to share with us what was the favorite items and anything off menu. Food was delivered promptly as one dish was complete the next would follow, timing and food temp was exact. We enjoyed the perfectly cooked scallops and the mouth watering salmon, just to die for. What surprised me most was I did not expect the food to be as incredibly delicious and prepared so exceptionally since this place is hidden in a quaint little retirement community. Much to my delightful surprise, it was top shelf all the way. I cannot wait to go back.

We dined here for a family member's birthday. The appetizers of bacon-wrapped dates and calamari were delicious. I ordered the top sirloin with honey basted carrots. The steak was flavorless, but tender. The carrots were underdone with no hint of honey flavoring. Our bottle of Robert Sinskey red wine was amazing! We love the ambiance of this place and weren't bothered by the noise level as we had a 1 yr. old with us. We will come back and perhaps I will try something besides beef.

Went here for brunch with a friend and my toddlers. It was great because my kids were distracted by the lake and I was able to get in some conversation time. The pork belly hash and cinnamon french toast was delicious! The kids meals were also a wonderful value. I would definitely come again and recommend it to others.

Greeting at front desk was not very friendly & service in lounge area was poor before we were seated. Three of our 4 steaks were undercooked, and tomato soup was barely warm. Despite us noting on the reservation that this was a birthday meal, there was no recognition of that. Disappointing overall, given the price point.
