Death or Glory
Went here for the first time during happy hour and I just love the vibe. I loved the food and so many good vegan options!
Food and service was great. Parking is a problem and martini glasses are small. The bartender, Cass, was personable and attentative. I would. Come back for sure.
such a great atmosphere! the service was spectacular and the happy hour prices were great. we enjoyed a meal and drinks for a reasonable price. will definitely come back.
Very disappointed this visit. Previously all the food was fantastic but this time everything was flavorless and greasy. Very subpar.
The menu is extremely limited with only (4) selections for entrees. Would not go back.
They were very, very busy when we came and service was slow at the start, however the manager thoroughly apologized for the wait and was super sweet and is an huge asset to this restaurant. She even took off some from the bill which was unnecessary, but sealed the our opinion that this is truly a great place to spend an evening. The cocktails were excellent and the fare was superb. Once we got over the initial wait, the service and the waitress was fantastic! One of the best burgers I've had. Try the chickpeas and the tuna sashimi as an appetizer. Wife's veggie burger was really good too. She had 'Keys on the Table' cocktail and I had a Manhattan which was perfect. Good stuff! We'll be back!
Fun and funky, but the real surprise was how interesting and innovative the food was. Prices were good as well. There are many different "nooks," most of them outdoors but sheltered. Don't miss the Tiki Bar that I'll be half the people in the place don't even realize is there.
Our go-to spot! We love this place, and our girl Kelly is the BEST. Service, food and ambiance are all wonderful.
I really want to give 3.5 stars but since that’s not possible - I decided to move up to 4.
The good - the burger was very good. Fries are good too. Loved it. The short rib slider app was great and the Brussel sprouts were very flavorful- with a maple and buttery taste - but come shredded in pieces making them a little awkward to eat.
The drinks - I had surfers blood and walking on the sun. Surfers blood was just okay. Walking on the sun was amazing. Definitely my favorite.
Staff - The hostess and server were nice. Hostess was very friendly. It was easy to get seated with a reservation. No issues.
What I didn’t like - we sat inside and it’s a bit tight. It was also really warm inside. As if their AC was broken. Also the service time to get drinks was too long. We had empty drinks for a while before we got new ones and we should never be with empty drinks at a bar.
Also the menu is tiny!! Not many choices here. I definitely didn’t like that at all.
At times the bar was full and other times it was totally empty. The atmosphere wasn’t as cool as I thought it would be. Compared to similar places - this was just okay.
When we left and came back later to get our car that was in valet - it took a while to find someone to give us the keys. And it was only 11pm. Luckily a server found our car keys. The valet person must have left. So if you’re planning and coming here and walking around - to come back later - Don’t valet.
Overall - because the drinks, food, and staff were all good - I have to give the higher 4 stars.
It was one of the better burgers I’ve had and I’m pretty picky about burgers. My score weighed heavily on the burger.
But fix the AC and Valet - also make sure people have drinks - no one should have an empty drink on the table unless we are done for the night. Also it would be nice to have more choices on the menu. It was super limited.
very trendy packed when we went, creative menu, unique plates, great desserts
Death or Glory is off the main drag in Delray Beach, but on the right track for the original food and drinks. Everything is prepared to your liking including our one vegan diner. The CHARCUTERIE BOARD, the fish (grouper), and Vegan Chick Pea curry were fantastic. The service started out a little slow, but it improved as the meal went on. We finished sharing the dark chocolate bark with sea salt - it's worthy of the trip if you love chocolate.
The drinks were original, but we stuck to beer and wine which were well severed. Outside is a series of couches you can discuss the days challenges. Inside is more cozy warm wood environ you might want to share with a special someone. Bar was inviting. We'll be back.
Even though their Saturday menu includes the late night options from Noon to close (as is written on the menu), our waitress refused to place those orders. The remaining menu was lacking in variety. When confronted with the black and white text her eyes glazed over and I could actually see her reality fighting against blatant truth. “It’s midnight to 2am.” She said while my finger was on the very text she was denying existed. I protested and she’d repeat; I even briefly doubted my ability to read. Alas, no menu for us. We relented to finish the ice-water drinks that pretended to be trendy then left.
The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Perhaps someday, when I feel like one of the 5 regular-hour menu items, I’ll return. Just not anytime soon.
Great food, excellent bartenders, good atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I really wanted to love this place, but dinner ended up not being all that good.
Not a great dining experience!!
Not impressed with conditions. Wouldn’t waste my time. To many nice we’ll run restaurants in Delray to be bothered to go there. Nothing in the menu was available. Ran out of liquor. Bathrooms didn’t work. No parking. It was an unforgettable time. Lol
Loved the appetizers, drinks and menu choices! We all enjoyed our meals very much. Outstanding service by all staff.
This place was fantastic! From the moment we walked in the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We tried all of the vegan options and I was amazed! Happy hour was a great deal and the patio seating was nice with fans to keep us cool. Will return when the menu changes for fall, Murphy was our server and she was fantastic!
restaurant week menu very limited, main menu also limited, 2 of 4 dishes out of availability at 6pm on a fri eve....noise level gave 3 of 4 of us a headache
The food is great here, and not just the usual fare. This is a foodie place. My only comment would be to expand the menu.
Everything was terrific, especially the bread pudding dessert. However, when we asked for coffee with our desserts, we were told that the restaurant does not serve coffee. Huh!!? They really need to change that policy if they want to provide a proper dessert experience.
First time there for restaurant week. The food was delicious and a great value for the special price. Lovely to sit outside . Great service and pleased that the chef came out to see if we were enjoying our meal. We will go back!
First time there. I've heard the chef Jesse is great so we came down from West Palm Beach. Bartender was great and the meal was excellent.
Drinks pricey even if you were in Manhattan
We made a reservation and they acknowledged it but then said we still had to wait for a table as they said the reservation didn't really mean much. Food was pretty good and the server was helpful but the service was slow. Inside the restaurant it was very loud. Seems like a fun and unique place but I would sit outside next time.
Good food good time !!
Cute setting. Lively bar, both indoor and out. Younger crowd. Great, creative drinks. Delicious food. Attentive service. Thumbs up!
It was good. Just nothing to rave about. Our server seemed to be a little frazzled and therefor our service was compromised. But there was a gentleman that was not our server that noticed and was very helpful.
My tastes are specific, so I didn't love the menu. But everyone else in the party loved the food. I ordered something specific, kinda off the menu, and the kitchen manager made sure that it came out correctly and followed up after. That sold me on how much potential this place has. The wine list is weak for such a vibrant menu, but their bar made up for that deficiency with ease. The server was the only blemish, as she was a little aloof to the main service points of waiting tables at a restaurant.
The specialty drinks were fabulous.
Great burgers and super friendly and attentive staff.
We had a fun time hanging out at the bar before dinner. The bar tender was creative and very helpful with our drink choices. Dinner was also good. There is a small menu, but we enjoyed what we ate.
3RD TIME MY WIFE AND I HAVE EATEN HERE...THE FOOD IS FABULOUS AND THE STAFF GOES OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.
THIS RESTAURANT HAS GONE TO THE TOP OF THE LIST...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
We really liked this place. Great happy hour. Very cool speakeasy vibe.
My favorite place in Delray to take a date!!
Everyone and everything was great!
Great spot just off the main strip in Delray Beach. Specialty cocktail menu offered a variety of creative options, and our meals from top to bottom were top-notch. Great date spot and start to a fun Delray Beach Saturday night.
Would have been 5 stars, but even inside it was very hot! They need to turn up the air conditioning to make it more comfortable!
The service is always incredible. The team here is fun, friendly and they always go that extra mile. As usual our drinks were delicious and the food did not disappoint. I usually go here for happy hour and am so glad we booked for dinner!
Service outstanding, care in the kitchen as the food is exceptional S well!
Something for everyone to eat there. We are vegan and they have some options. Food was very good
