Death or Glory Ratings and Reviews
The food was good and the location is attractive. We especially liked the Christmas decorations.
We had a large family group and called ahead to ensure our kids could be accommodated regarding food and were told it wouldn’t be a problem. My little one wanted chicken but the order was very small and was mostly breading. We asked for more and then were shocked when we were charged $35 for a bit of chicken to satisfy a 4-year-old. We questioned it and were basically told too bad. We spent over $400 and I was shocked to be treated that way.
Delicious fun food. The chickpeas are Delish !crunchy With a light Cheetos flavor.& the charuterie plate .We had soup & burgers with the brussels.sprouts on the side ,everything tasted great .they also have a late night menu so go anytime & try the cool atmosphere & great food
Fever cocktail is delicious! Nice balance of sweet with spicy. Tuna Poke was fresh and had good flavors. French Fries had great seasoning. Sat in the lounge which was nice and intimate, but the table was a little small. Our server was attentive and super friendly. Definitely going back and recommending to friends.
Literally it's been years since any restaurant anywhere in Palm Beach County ( we live in Broward), got us this revv'd up.
The cocktails are revelations all unto themselves . The poke could draw 'em in , in Hawaii !!!!
Yup it's a hellacious drive for us & Yup we'll be back
Death or Glory is a bar with serious food. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available and both are very attractive. We sat in the front patio and had a leisurely dinner and cocktail tasting. The cocktails are cutting edge creative, with a great selection of beer and wine as well. With out first cocktail we had a plate of delicious rosemary fries to nibble. We follows that with a spicy chick pea curry and a hangar steak served with baked yucca fries. Dessert was blueberry shortcake with lemon curd. Several choices on the menu were vegan. We enjoyed it all and appreciated our knowledgeable server, Alexa.
We weren't sure what to expect - all the 'pre-opening write-ups' talked about the cocktails and the bar, but we were going for dinner - with 3 kids no less... We had a GREAT experience!
Although I'm more of a craft beer guy I tried one of their tequila-based cocktails - very nice. Not too sweet and beautifully presented. My wife had 'Aloe can you go', a refreshing gin-based cocktail which was also really well crafted. Okay, maybe we had more than one ;).
They didn't have a kid's menu, but we really weren't expecting one. All worked out well as the kitchen was very accommodating with special requests to keep things lightly seasoned for the developing palettes in the group. The attentive waitress described two soups which both sounded fantastic: a borsch (roasted beet soup) and a cream of mushroom with a drizzle of truffle oil. We tried both and both exceeded our high expectations. Our group had a few of the 'happy hour' snacks, including the hummus plate, the olives and the chickpeas. Each was creative and tasty. For dinner we had the steak (Perfect!) 'Tommy's Prawn' (the only item which was less than stellar - visually impressive but slightly overlooked) and the Chickpea Curry (earthy, rich, complex, and a little spicy - just delicious!).
Throughout the meal the service was wonderful. Our waitress checked on us frequently, and the chef even came out to see how we liked everything (since we had the kids we were dining pretty early - well before the big dinner crowd showed up.) It's clear the team there is eager to please.
This location has had some highs and lows over the last few years. I recognized some familiar faces, and the comfortable, hip atmosphere has persisted. The food was really well conceived, and delightfully prepared, and the cocktails lived up to the hype (this coming from a beer guy). We'll definitely be going back.
