The meal was okay. Nothing great. They did a great job with the finish out of the restaurant. I cannot eat gluten or dairy. They had a gluten free menu which was nice but when I asked them if I could get a plain baked potato instead of their millionaire potato that has dairy in it, I was told that they couldn't because it would "take them too much time to prepare". How is putting a potato in an oven difficult? And when you are spending that kind of money on a meal, how tacky is it for the server to tell you that your allergies arent important enough for them to throw a potato in the oven? Super disappointing and it how they handled my request really cheapened the overall feel of the establishment. You can go to any steakhouse in town like Flemings, Bohanans, Ruths Chris, Morton's etc. and they do everything they can to accommodate their guests. Not at Deans.

The ambience and service were exceptional and created a fantastic environment for a special occasion. While good, for the price we paid, the food was not exceptional. We found ourselves comparing various items (the wedge salad, the halibut, the steak) to other restaurants we like to go (Cappy’s, Ruth’s Chris), and the items were better at the other restaurants. The bread service was excellent, as was the French onion soup. The wedge salad was just average. My filet was overcooked on the outside and charred. The side dish we ordered (the billionaire potato) was good, but not more than a twice baked potato with some cheese in it. The dessert was OK but kind of dry (the bread pudding). I ordered an old-fashioned from the bar and it was good. We did not have wine. they did offer us a complementary flute of champagne each because we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, which was a nice Touch. Our waiter was wonderful and the overall atmosphere was very nice. I just wish the food had been better. Our bill with tip came to $250.

Our team had an incredible dining experience at Dean’s Steak & Seafood. From the moment we walked into the beautifully restored 19th-century schoolhouse, the ambiance set the tone for a memorable evening. The food was outstanding as always. Everything done to perfection. This time is was the staff who blew me away. Their kindness and generosity was simply more than i could ever expect. After a very difficult 8 days dealing with a disaster they overwhelmed me with graciousness. I simply cannot say thank you enough for your kindness. Savannah was wonderful to us and connected with us in a special way. Thank you to Deans for everything. Is was amazing.
