Wine list is pretty good. Food was delicious and didn't have to wait long. Everyone in my lunch party enjoyed their meal.

Good food. Expensive to get a nice entree with two sides but worth it as long as you are ready to pay $25 each plus drinks.

We have been coming to Dean’s for a while and have always loved their food. I had heard that the previous owner recently sold and something had changed. Because we’ve always loved it there, we decided to give the new menu and ownership a shot... and we were disappointed.
Previously, the fish was always fresh, the beef was always cooked to perfection, the vegetables were delicious and the flavors popped. We did not get any of that last night. My mom ordered the wahoo and you could taste that it had been frozen (was a bit fishy and very tough), my dad ordered his steak medium rare and it came out almost still “mooing” it was so rare, the brussel sprouts were hard, poorly cooked and had very little flavor, the carrot ginger soup was simply puréed carrots that had ZERO ginger flavor and more that of canned pumpkin and the blue crab dip tasted like frozen crab dip from a can. We all commented on how the chefs must have changed because this was subpar to what we normally receive from Dean’s which is rather disappointing because this was our “go-to” seafood spot.
Also, my husband had a couple bites of the carrot ginger soup then commented on how awful it was and had it returned as he no longer wanted it... and they still charged us for it. That was disappointing customer service.
On the upside, our server was wonderful. He was friendly, had a great personality and was attentive. He was the saving grace to this meal.
Unfortunately we probably won’t be going back after this experience.

Food was fine and the service was friendly. The biggest issue I had was the (unannounced) price of the brunch. Way too expensive and a flat rate no matter what you had (as it’s a buffet). If this had been noted on the online menu, I would have skipped this restaurant.

Service was very slow. The main course for all four in our party was sent back to kitchen due to food being less than room temperature. Manager refused to accept responsibility for the food being cold.

Thankfully, Deans still has a decent selection of seafood. The scallops and blackened Scottish salmon were excellent.

We used to visit Dean's once or twice a month when it was Dean's Seafood G&B and loved it...seafood was best around. Since it became the Kitchen it seems like the food has become mediocre...even the setting seems kinda strange, more like a cafe... cold and uninviting compared to before. Server was good and helpful. Food now seems average...fish was overcooked and dry. No more bread before the meal. Average food, premium price. Sorry, disappointed.

Easy to make reservations--seated promptly--had group of six for birthday celebration. Very good brunch--could be a bit better organized at waffle/omelet station. Did a good job of keeping various food stations equipped!

We went for Sunday Brunch and the service was excellent! We all had a wonderful time! No I know this one comment might sound picky, but it would be nice to make the one salad clean of any cheeses. Maybe a small dish to the side to sprinkle it on. Just a small point. We will be back! Thanks.

Went on a whim, had thought former mid-quality iteration of Dean's was OK enough. What a mistake. Bad food (really bad food), with hot food served cold and cold food served lukewarm, indifferent and slow service, dirty table tops, and a forgettable atmosphere... but upscale pricing! One of the worst meals out in the last 20 years. It was so bad I left feeling duped that I had to pay for it and very disappointed in Rocky Top Hospitality for allowing its name to be dragged down by this very poor effort.

We've been going there for years. I love the raw oysters on the Sunday brunch. My complaint is that they've been cutting back on the hot tea selection. Each time we go there since the renaming and renovation there have been fewer teas offered. Last Sunday they had only two herbal teas and no regular teas. In the past they had a nice selection.

Very disappointed...this was a special occasion for us...an "early birthday" dinner from my step daughter who was visiting from New York. Our reservation was for 6pm on Sat, Oct 21st. Two of our party of four chose items that included parmesan mashed potatoes. We were advised by our server (Dave? - tall fellow with glasses) that the kitchen was "out" of mashed potatoes. How is a restaurant out of mashed potatoes at 6pm on a Saturday? At our disappointment, he advised that some were cooking and it would be about a 15min wait. We opted to wait and ordered an appetizer and drinks. After a reasonable time, the entrees arrived. However, the meals that should have had mashed pots were served with sweet potato hash browns instead. This was most unsatisfactory, as one of our party is vegetarian and the hash browns contained bacon. This should NOT have happened because before we ordered, specific questions about vegetarian dishes were asked of the server. The mashed potatoes were served separately a short time later. I believe that at the least we should have been offered a complimentary appetizer or drink for our inconvenience. I also think that a manager should have come by the table to apologize. Neither of these things happened. My stepdaughter is very fond of Dean's, and wants to eat there are least once during her visit. After this experience, we may not return.

This was our second visit in two weeks. This time we brought some friends along. The seasonal menu had just changed, but our favorites, fish tacos, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits are still there. We tried the pecan shrimp appetizer, which was amazing! Kasey, our waitress both times, is a wonderful server.

We wanted a quiet place where we could hear each other talk for an anniversary celebration. Dean's fit the bill. Good food and nice atmosphere. The bar side is fun for a quick meal and a drink.

We have eaten at Dean’s several times over the past few years and had always liked it. However they have redone the interior to make it more open but we didn’t see that as a good change. Secondly we were unable to order a couple of items because they were not available. Overall we were very disappointed with our latest visit.

We used to visit Dean's several times a month. This past weekend was the first time since their "Renovation" and new concept. It used to a great place to go where you had good food and could carry on a conversation. The remodeling makes it look like a high school cafeteria. Open space and long tables. They have decided to go for a different demographics. The place was loud and a number of parties over 10 occupied most of the space. I knew things had changed when I saw the member of one party toss chicken legs under the table when he finished with them. The buffet was mediocre and there were lines with people cutting in if they wanted something. We will not go back. There are plenty of other choices in Cary, Morrisville, and Apex.
