Anna was the best waitress. She was good at her job.kept our drinks filled.she recommended the souvied pork chop, which was wonderful and my wife had the shrimp purloo also outstanding.
Give her a raise she is good for your business
Everything was great. Our server, Austin, was personable and informative. The steak was cooked to perfection.
Atmosphere was perfect for being able to converse with friends, food was good and service was exceptional!
Thank you for your attention to details and always making us feel like a family. We loved our dry aged ribeye!
Always a good meal, and sat at our favorite table where we could watch the kitchen staff do their “thing”
Amazing fusion food with Italian roots. Our server Adrian exceeded our expectations on her hospitality and service. Very clean and neat areas and bathrooms. Highly recommend to all.
Really good steaks, service, ambiance and wine selections!!
This was our first visit. We entertained friends before a performance at TPAC. Our friends both had the Harvest Salad with chicken and liked it. I had The Man in Black and although I found it tasty, the temperature was inconsistent throughout the dish. This affected the flavor. I found it tasted better in the warmer spots. I hope that doesn't it was microwaved. My wife had the Crawfish Noodles which were not spicy but did create a need for a Tums in the middle of the night. The restaurant needs more time. The brand is a part of the same company which includes Puckett's. Next time, I will go to Puckett's St Cloud Corner.
We are local and heard good things about the place. Our waiter was great—definitely sold us on the “signature” items. The fried green tomatoes were great, however the piggies in a blanket were not. Food came quick, which was great because we were under a time crunch. But the “hot chicken” wasn’t Nashville hot at all. It was just a whole roasted chicken. The Mac and cheese was so good, probably the best bite of the night. The braised beef was tender, but very heavy with the sauce and grits. For the price, you can definitely get the same quality food somewhere else unfortunately.
Steak was good but undercooked. Sides were mediocre at best. Not the worth the price
It was delicious! The entire meal-salads, steaks, side dishes, desserts and coffee were just great. The waitress, Savannah, was also terrific. She was helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Nashville.
Our waitress was amazing and very gracious. Our
I wasn't impressed. Food was very heavily seasoned in a very off-putting way. We didn't finish eating anything on the table. I kept catching myself having to go back to my water to clean the salt and spice off my tongue. I love seasoned food, but it just wasn't balanced or complex. Understanding it's the "new" South, it ventured too far.
I reserved a table a week in advance and still got stuck either at the entrance or at the bar. They allowed a huge party of 6-8 whose table wasn't ready to stand and talk loudly at the edge of our table for 30 minutes, not really at the bar or a table. Didn't really have the atmosphere or the flavor to warrant the bloated downtown Nashille prices.
A very nice restaurant in Nashville. Excellent choice in Steaks, sides, and appetizers. Wait staff was fantastic and fun. They ran out of some steaks we were hoping to have... but it was a busy night. I would recommend this place!
Great food, great service, nice presentation. Overall stellar experience.
Wonderful dinner on our last night in Nashville. The steaks were delicious and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Noise level was pretty high but wee were off the main dining room so it was better.
Everything was fantastic. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be back.
Very good food. Service was fantastic.
We discovered this place June 2020, a road trip from NYC. We dined here twice that week because the food and ambiance were so good. Visited again when in town and it was just as remembered. You must try the steak and biscuit Appetizer, the reason why Deacon's is on our Favorite list.
Excellent food!!! Substantial portions!!! Will definitely return to Deacons New South!!!
After waiting a month just to get a table, it did not disappoint!
The best steak I’ve had in a long time!
Outstanding dining experience! The staff, the food, the environment, our server, as well as the manager were all just wonderful! Elizabeth, I simply can never thank you enough for the wonderful suggestions for how to propose to my lovely fiancé! It was just perfect!!!
Food was Lukewarm service was good, atmosphere was good.
Food was great. Our server, Adrienne went above and beyond. Definitely worth another visit if back in Nashville.
Seated on time of reservation, service was outstanding. Acknowledged my birthday and bought out cake with candle after dinner, only disappointment was being charged $13 for apple cake she served. If I had known we had to pay for it I would have ordered something I wanted, not what she bought out to table.
We were greeted in a gracious manner and we’re ultimately seated at a comfortable table. Excellent service. Caesar Salad was wonderful. Deconstructed Cannoli was mediocre. The food was presented in an appealing way.
Best meal in long time. Steak and shrimp perloo was fabulous !
Great food. Aged steak and mac n cheese were great. Long wait on the food order only slightly negative.
Pleasant dining experience in convenient location. Not same caliber as other premier restaurants. Server attentive; order messed up but server took responsibility and management took care of appropriately.
Food was great! Our reservation was at 6:30 and our waiter asked us to order quickly because there were 2 large groups in the restaurant. It took over an hour to get our food but they kept stringing us along by saying "just a few more minutes." Had I known it was going to take SO long for our food to arrive, I would have ordered a salad or appetizer. I was disappointed it took so long for our food to come. We also didn't see our waiter very much because he and most other waitstaff were also taking care of the 2 large groups. If you make reservations I recommend asking if they also have reservations for large groups (15-20 people) and if they do...find someplace else.
Our waitress was quick, efficient, communicative and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed her service.
The food, however, left quite a bit to be desired. The new chef is, from what we understand, still learning how to manage his kitchen properly. Our appetizers arrived and were quite good. The fried green tomatoes were actually excellent! Our entrees, however, were absolutely awful. The kitchen quite obviously forgot about our orders as we were a late reservation. Our hot chicken came out COMPLETELY raw. Half of a chicken....raw on the plate. The incredibly expensive steaks we ordered were cold as they were obviously cooked and left to the side at some point. They made an attempt to reheat them to our dismay. The chef came to our table to apologize and offered some sweet treats to make up for the travesty of our meal. The apple spice cake and pumpkin caramel cheesecake were delicious however they need to remove the banana pudding tiramisu from the menu and never attempt to revive it. In the end, our server did everything she could to salvage our meal and experience. I am sure Deacon's has had a wonderful reputation in the past, however, with the current kitchen management, we cannot at all recommend visiting.
Best meat in town! We are frequent patrons and this place never disappoints… except they took the creme brûlée off the menu. Bring it back!
everything was good, except my steak was NOT medium. it was done
Excellent and friendly service- outstanding sides and entrees!
Good food and good service. The southern themed restaurant had a nice cross section of entrees to choose from and the seating was open spaced on the bar side of the restaurant. Enjoyable evening.
Spent my 61st birthday there the staff and the food were freaking incredible everything was perfect and I normally don’t say that about a restaurant with the waiter Ben Was also phenomenal very laid-back very informative pretty much anything you want in a waiter and a very nice person anyway hope this helps any buddy thanks again Terry
We had a party of 6. Everything was great and enjoyed our server. Would definitely come back.
Delicious!!! Amazing service!
