Very smart place , loads of seating and good food and drink, although a bit expensive
Great night. However I ordered sweet potato fries and it came in a bowl that had dried cheese on and a few of the chips had melted she on too. So that was a bit shocking, however everything else was ok.
We had to wait 15 minutes in a queue even though we booked! Then given an allocated table which someone was already sat on.
But, I couldn't fault the food (just a little pricey)
Fish and french fries and the DKP burger. Both nice a little colder than would have liked on arrival, no tomato sauce as ordered so had to go looking for someone and the waiter tipped the chips on the tray about 5 or 6 of them which he took away and didn’t apologise for. This is why I lowered the service and food stars a little. Drinks arrived promptly and the setting was perfect. The lady on the door was very accommodating and found us exactly what we asked for. A seat on the terrace with a beautiful view of the river. Definitely recommend this place.
Absolutely superb food and drink. I couldn't fault it. A calm, warm ambience perfect for watching the world go by. The service was quick and unintrusive. Looking forward to booking again for another afternoon of good food and drink on the riverside. Thank you.
Took well over half hour to get drinks throughout the evening, staff were rude, when we asked if we could move into the sunshine through the afternoon we were told no even though plenty of tables available, had to ask to turn the music down even though the waitress couldn’t even hear when we asked to turn the speakers down, cake was on the dry side, drinks were expensive.
Overpriced food and drink. Booked a table a month in advance to be allocated to a table covered in glasses and food. Then had to wait 35 minutes for a bottle of wine..... wasn't really very busy at all. £6 for cheesy chips when you get about 6 chips in total.
If it wasn't for the location, I wouldnt go again.
We have been waiting for 1.45 minutes for food- and wasn’t received—- asked for refund...awaiting refund and still nothing
Where is my refund... now very upset
Filthy glasses! Sent my wine back 3 times when it kept coming back covered in lipstick (the glass) Waiting staff were not checking prior to serving. Cutlery filthy, waited over an hour for food when app said 30 mins. Tables not wiped and sanitised properly. App takes too long to order. Overall a most unpleasant experience, quite stressful. They need to sort out their cleanliness! Disgusting!
Food very poor😢always visit Ed before lockdown but this time waited one and a half hours for meal to turn up and fish and chips the fish portion was very very small but just eat it as waited so long. Prices expensive for meal portions and where’s cheese and biscuits? Best option on the menu and popular??? Was told it’s the setting not the food we pay for!!! Not the best thing to say as should be best good best setting surely?? I await your reply? When half price offered on deals then prices are reasonable.
Lovely atmosphere, live music, average food (but good for price), service was much to be desired. Staff seemed very busy, they seemed over stretched which led to poor service and long wait times.
Note to the management, you could have made much more money over that day if you’d have employed more waiting staff.
For the price the food was average. We had issues with multiple bottle drinks being flat. The staff were very nice and apologetic.
Service was slow, drinks expensive, beer flat. Food was poor, chips under cooked, nachos soft and tasteless.
We were told when we arrived at 10pm that we weren’t allowed in although we had booked a table. They said it was due to them being full and we were late although we arrived at the correct time. In the end we were allowed in as we had booked. Social distancing wasn’t maintained by all customers and there was a large group of people who merged together in the center towards the end of the evening. Toilets were very dirty and not stocked up with toilet roll. One toilet seat was broken and left on the floor!! Although overall we did have a nice time and our drinks arrived quickly.
Amazing as always
We got put on the balcony so couldn't hear the music, people were sitting in more than groups of 8 but when one group get kicked out the rest didn't get kicked out I found that very unfair especially as they were boys who got kicked out but the girls stayed. Took over a hour to get drinks which I can appreciate your busy but when 2 came first and then over 45mins later the next 2 come just doesn't make sense.
We have always choose the De koffie pot for our place to go as normally love the atmosphere although on this occasion it felt to overcrowded and as we were put on the left bank terrace we were not including in the ambience downstairs... the heaters were all used by the seat shifting visitors to Hereford (to be fair were told multiple times to go back to there seats by staff and security) So were we would spend normally our night there I couldn’t wait to get out and go home. Hopefully when things calm down it will all get better again.
My friend ordered halloumi fries £7 for 3, ridiculous amount. The fries were an extra. The menu choice when we looked in day had changed in the evening. The cost of drinks is also extortionate, £5 for a beer!
We turned up for our booking and there was no table for us. Took an hour for drinks to come to top floor.
We didn't have food but the service for drinks was terrible. We arrived at 3.30, I waited 20 mins for my first pint, my friends ordered other drinks which took half an hour. By the time we left it was an hour wait for drinks which is ridiculous, prices have gone way up too. Normally I would recommend as I love the Koffie Pot but not at the moment with having table service
Excellent!! 🤩 The staff work very hard I hope they get lots of praise!!
We were seated u set cover in the only part of the venue that had no sun and no heaters. Unable to move tables do very cold which sadly spoilt it
Great venue, great service. Stopped for drinks on a sunny Saturday, very relaxed and will go back.
Food was really good, great atmosphere and service wasn't too slow
The male guard was very friendly and welcoming , he was obviously good at his job, it’s just a shame he isn’t in charge of customer service training for the rest of the team. I’ve never been in a pub where the drinks arrived after the food. Or where nobody came back to ask if everything was ok with the food. I think it’s such a shame that the basics of customer service aren’t important to the employees.
Good standard classics on offer with kids portions too. With booking you are not able to select table type so eating at the low tables is challenging.
Stunning location and great Covid-proof set up! Enjoyed a lunch by the river and staff were very professional. Food was disappointing though, as was the wine selection.
Great responsible service.
Food nice and tasty.
Staff very polite and helpful
Rude doorman and a really long wait on drinks. This place seems to have gone really downhill. If you book a table, why do you have to find your own? And why seat people on the balcony where the atmosphere is non existent? Still waiting for a refund for a previous visit too when drinks never showed up. I appreciate it’s a tough time but if you don’t have the staff to serve that capacity of customers then don’t let so many in. Probably won’t return again. :(
Great seats and fantastic atmosphere. Great drinks
Main bar service great, 5 mins from online order to delivery. Cocktail bar however - slow, delivered order to wrong table and explained that new staff and apparently we had left the table ??? Pandemic rules ??? and the girl explaining was the one who delivered the drink to the wrong guests. Didn’t spoil things but needs improving, early days yes, made up excuses no. That said Will go again
Food and drink quite expensive. Particularly the food, and for what it is. Cheesy chips £6 for example.
I was also disappointed with the descriptions, as I’d ordered the dirty fries, and was not expecting what I got.
Normal drinks comes quite quickly but the cocktails take a long time.
Overall the ambience and vibe of the place is lovely though.
Took 40 minutes to get a drink after I'd paid. Staff very unhelpful.
The ordering system was very unsatisfactory as, after placing order online, it would not accept my debit card and just buffered! So ordered again at table when card reader rejected my debit and credit card!! Very patient and pleasant member of staff went away then came back to say money had gone through. Needs adjustment somehow.
While booking a table I did left a note to be seated close to fire pit but was given a table without it. Had to change tables closer to fire pit. Ordered food and drinks via app. Falafels were lovely. Drinks came to our table but after 10mins waiter came with another identical set which we didn't order-he said for some reason they went through twice. Overall visit was nice but would be better is was sat next to fire pit at the start like was requested as tables were not in use. Covid rules followed.
Really disappointed as throughly enjoyed all our visits last year. We had booked a table for 5:30 on a Thursday night on arrival we went to order straight away unfortunately even though you are required to book ahead and it was early on a Thursday evening they had ran out of the majority of the menu, they only had 4 meal options left chicken burger, beef burger, fish and chips and a falafel wrap. When the food came it was of a very poor standard black burnt burger no sauce on it. We then ordered hot drinks after these took longer than our food took to arrive and when the hot choclate and tea came it was cold. On asking the server to please Instead bring out some warm drinks she obliged but then went on to bring them.out and slam the hot ones on the table spilling all the drink out of cup and into saucer. She turned her back straight away and walked off. If it was not for the fact we had already paid I would of asked for money off. I understand staff may be new but it is what a would call restaurant prices for what we experienced very poor food. It seemed like they are moving towards less of an eatery and more of a bar atmosphere that sells poor quality. Really disappointed as last year we were regulars. Unfortunately we will avoid using it I'm the future.
The place was quite busy, which felt a little uncomfortable, but, everywhere was well spaced and no one was on top of each other.
The food was expensive, for what it was, but it did arrive really quickly (long before our drinks had even got to us!). There were plenty of staff, who we did have to ask for a couple of things, but they sorted those issues out pretty quickly.
I'd go back, but the price of the food does put me off a bit.
My first venture out in a social setting since lockdown, felt safe ,comfortable and welcome.food and service great , coming back next week!!
Very enjoyable afternoon. Good food and friendly staff.
