We love this restaurant! We always order the Thai style fish, and it’s delicious and unique. The coconut cake is a must as well.
We had such a wonderful time celebrating my Husband's birthday. I appreciated the service so much; everyone was professional and very knowledgeable about the menu selections. We had the lamb chops, truffle mac, kimchi collards and halibut/crabmeat and EVERYTHING was amazing. For dessert we finished the evening with the apple pie croissant bread pudding which was the perfect end to a beautiful evening. Elias (I'm sorry if I misspelled) was an excellent server; he was very well aware of the menu and how dishes were prepared; he offered the chef specials; explained the different offerings with the bread and was very attentive the entire evening.
The Thanksgiving menu was diverse and every dish was exceptional! Dining here helped make my holiday extra special and relaxing.
Went on Thanksgiving and it was great!!! Chef Holley came to our table and we met one of the Davis who was personable. Definitely will be back for crispy Thai shrimp and lamb chops.
Food was outstanding which made our Thanksgiving Day outstanding !!
We had Thanksgiving lunch at Davis Street and it was a lovely experience. The three course menu featured many choices, all of which proved to be delicious. Our entire family enjoyed the service as well as the music.
The food was excellent flavor. The waitstaff attentive and fun. Not suffocating! Had an amazing bottle of wine with dinner. Can't wait to go back to try the regular menu!
The food was very salty. Davis street frequent visitor and was surprised at the saltiness of all the food
Consistenyly good in every area
Davis St. was absolutely wonderful! I loved every thing about this place from the ambiance to the food. I will definitely be back.
Great service and food
Recommend everyone to try it
I went to this restaurant at night. It had a nice, chill vibe. Food was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Food was fabulous. Special guest chef Evelyn “Rock” Ragland was the bomb! I had to buy her cookbook! Looking forward to our next meal there. Everything was excellent! The wine recommendations were wonderful. Overall an exceptional evening!!!
The food was amazing as usual! The brunch crowd and atmosphere was really nice!!
Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the ambiance which is very elegant.
Daniel H. was horrible.
Great staff and great food!!!
Our service was subpar. It was 4 not 2. The hostess was excellent when seating me at a tabletop while I waited for the remaining party. I transferred to my table that included a total of four. Our drinks took over a hour to be served, i ordered cornbread to go upon sitting down and was assured I would get immediately. I received the cornbread an hour and half later if not two hours. Upon bring my cornbread it was on bench now where near and at that point I had to inquire where was the cornbread and waitress point to it being placed elsewhere. I asked here why would she not inform me that it was cornbread and why place it next took a table full of people in the midst of COVID that were not part of my group. The waitress also made several inappropriate comments about service to others at our table. We order 3 prime ribeye steaks. I preferred my steak Medium which was 90% to my expectations just a little salty. The other two steaks , one was supposed to be Medium was served Well Done and the Medium Well was served Well Done. The entrees all were served over an hour and half late. We requested to speak with management about drinks being served over hour late, entrees served over an hour late, and my to go food placed next another table and given to me personally. Also, several sides that we didn’t order were brought to our table but the waitress and server had no response. We eventually received the right sides. As guests at our table were eating the Brussel Sprouts that came out earlier prior to our actual order the waitress reached to remove them as we had already started to eat then fir the last 20 minutes or so. This was very inappropriate and asked her why? And responded your order is on the way, she was not prepared. Mark Holly was making his rounds and never once came over to apologize about the missteps with his kitchen and food not prepared as ordered. Thank god for Kevin , the manager, he took control and made the experience better at the end of night.
Celebrated my friend's 50th birthday at Davis and we were both happy with the overall experience. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable of the drinks and the food recommendations were perfection.
We will visit again.
The brunch was very good. I had the eggs Benedict and it was very flavorful. I tried the French Toast from one of my guest's plates and that's the next dish on my list to try. I highly recommend for the ambiance as well.
Couple date night
Thai style shrimp, seafood stew and bread were all amazing. We met the chef, owner and sommelier, and they were very gracious and welcoming. Our waiter Daniel provided excellent service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Best hidden GEM in the neighborhood!! Would recommend it highly & to ALL!
I don't have anything negative to say about this restaurant! The hostess was lovely, the server was very helpful and friendly. The music created the perfect ambience. To top it off, the food was SPECTACULAR! I love when a restaurant provides a great meal from beginning to end. I'm in love with this place!
Excellent innovative food with emphasis on seafood with southern twist
Great brunch! Looking forward to trying Sunday Supper or dinner.
The staff is typically friendly, the food is great with an appropriate price point!
Food, service and music was amazing.
Great food. The dining room is cold and to me uninviting. Valet parking is awkward.
Excellent for a date night, food and service we exceptional
The food here is outstanding! We shared Yvonne's oysters to start along with Benne's bread basket and I could have eaten more of that all night. So delicious!
For main course, one guest had the gumbo with extra shrimp and fried oysters and I took a taste of the gumbo and loved the use of fried oysters in it. Yum! My other half had the Crispy Redfish which I also tasted and it was excellent. My dish was the Halibut with Crabmeat and orzo which was probably the best halibut dish I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and the flavors all worked beautifully together. I am definitely coming back!
Excellent food, detail paid to us as customers and our needs. The valet process (price, car pickup) was a little confusing. Food was delicious, drinks were a little pricey but overall, a wonderful experience.
Lovely place and ambiance. Some of the food was too special to be good. But great service and ambiance. AC was on blast. I think that made the food cold. And the coffee/tea.
Our first visit and the food was excellent for brunch. The Bloody Mary was very good and the gumbo and shrimp and grits outstanding. Our server, Sarah, was great.
The food, atmosphere, and service were all amazing
Gumbo delicious as usual and Sunday Supper fried chicken is the best
Service was very poor. After 30 minutes with no more than water having been given to us and not sure who our waiter even was, we flagged down another waiter. He informed us of who our waiter was, but then very kindly offered to take our order, which he did. We did see our waiter 2 more times. One to explain that he was busy taking care of another table that was seated after us because they had a plane to catch. The other was to bring our food with when it was ready. Never saw him again and the other waiter who had intervened took care of everything else.
The shrimp and grits were very good, especially the grits. My wife got the french toast which was good, but the chorizo sausage patties were raw and cold in the middle. Not sure we'll be back, since there are way too many excellent restaurants in town with good food and good service to waste on a repeat of this experience.
On a side note the valet parking was moved around the corner down the drive from the street where the valet stand was difficult to see. Plus the entrance to the valet had cones and a "street closed use other entrance" sign posted, so we didn't even see the valet stand until we were seated in the restaurant. Luckily there is free parking in a Hermann park lot that can be utilized as street parking on Almeda is hard to come by.
Definitely an awesome restaurant! Can’t wait to go back
Interesting menu-had the whole snapper with greens and potatoes. Delicious and great presentation. Oyster appetizers were ok. Bread addictive. Service tried hard and very friendly but inexperienced and disappeared occasionally. A little overpriced i think. Lots of draft beers on menu but taps were not working. Thats not acceptable at a place like this. Id go again. Not a great restaurant yet.
The presentation of the food was outstanding. Our server was wonderful. The food was good, not great. The snapper was a bit dry.
