The restaurant is very nice, I think the staff was a little short because of the current health issue. The cocktails took awhile to come out. The OC Restaurant week menu was great! I would recommend this place for nice special occasions!

We ate at the original Davio's on Newbury St. in Boston years ago. We we very please with Davio's in Irvine. The popovers are a must. Don't miss out and try one. Just delicious. I enjoyed the wild tuna and it was prepared exactly how I had requested. There were no complaints from anyone. It is a very lovely restaurant with great food and service.
We went for my husband's Birthday and it was a very relaxed two hour dinner. The hot popovers came first and were delicious. We split a hot mushroom and spinach salad that was delicious. I ended up ordering the Neiman Ranch Pork chop with apricots and it was perfect. My husband ordered the flat iron steak and liked his meal as well. It was a bit pricey but for a special occasion, it was wonderful.
Great service and food. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Since it was a business lunch, it was nice that the waiter did not rush us during our discussion.
It was OK. I would go again, but not my preferred dining experience. The hostess was preoccupied with whatever and we seemed to annoy her in interrupting that, even though the entire place was completely empty. Were sat in a wind tunnel by the bar and had to be moved because the vents made sitting where we were rather cold, and Scott our waiter was great about it, although he and the rest of the staff just disappear when not with you. 4 other tables were also sat around us and felt like we were all abandoned for 15-20mins at a time. Bread was great and Shrimp was good, as was extra plates of mushrooms and creamy potatoes, but seemed scarce proportions for above average pricing as there was nothing spectacular about them, just heated up standards. As mentioned, I would go again, but definitely not my first choice.
We had a long lunch catching up after years of not seeing each other. Our server was attentive but did not rush us. The food was great and the restaurant is quiet enough to have great conversation.
Davio's has a lot of class and the service is impecable. The "Popovers" are fantastic. Fabian, the Manager is always making sure you have the proper attention, so if you dine at Davios, say hello to him. I always feel very comfortable there even when you order a small meal for lunch, and you are always treated with respect.
Overall one of the best restaurants I have been too. The wagyu steak just melts in your mouth. Everyone is respectful and caring. I will definitely come again!!
This was my 4th time eating here and haven't been for about 8 months. I have to say, the quality is not as good. Ordered the San Marzano Pasta with my filet mignon. Steak was average, the pasta (noodles) were excellent, however the sauce was thick and not as good as it was 8 months ago. Since it was a Friday night, I'd expect the head Chef to be on his game. Wasn't the case. Our server Valerie, made our dinner satisfying. Great personality and made our night. Thank you Valerie.
This place is hidden gem, with really good food and service. Definitely a must to try, their bread is to die for.

Superior cuisine and service. The appis were delicious and substantial, and the mains magnificent. We had everything from pork and beef to fish. If you have ever loved a pork chop, be prepared for a lot of loving. The entire experience was greatly appreciated by the entire family. Service was outstanding: attentive but not obtrusive. Will certainly return as it defines what it means to have fine dining.
This place was just ok to me. I probably wouldn't go back, because it isn't close to where I live and I can't say it was worth the drive for me personally.
There is not a warm ambience to this restaurant. I ordered a filet and it was intended to be medium well and it was rare. I sent it back and was shocked to see my same partially eaten steak return to me. It was a misshapen and awful looking piece of meat. Meanwhile my family finished their meal and it would’ve been better if they had simply re-cooked a brand new steak and re-presented it to me. Also our waiter failed pour wine frequently meeting my husband had a port for ourselves.

The food was absolutely delicious and the stuffed flower blossoms were outstanding. Our server, on the other hand, could have been much more attentive. Our last server was wonderful. But, we love the food and ambiance and we will be back.
This was our 5th visit to Davios. We have have enjoyed both lunch and dinner experiences. The food is solid, prepared well and served at the correct temperatures. The service team and floor management are extremely attentive and cordial. A great place for daily dining or events. Great Job.
Booked a table for two for a special occasion. Once we arrived, we were lead to a high table next to the Bar underneath the A/C vent. It was really cold there and after a couple of minutes we asked to be relocated to another table. They told us that all other tables were booked. We sat for the rest of our time there while we saw multiple empty tables on the other side. For dinner we ordered steak and were told it would take about 25min, but it took over an hour from the time we ordered. They told us there were many steaks in the queue and they cook them one at a time, which is odd for a steakhouse. Overall we were not accommodated well and food was really late which is not a very pleasant experience for a high end $150/ person type of outing. We will not repeat.
Poor service and mediocre food. Servers brought us our main dishes, told us they would come back with our silverware which took them about 7 minutes ( I had to remind the server for them to bring the silverware) and while we waited, our food turned cold. Instead of the servers removing our finished appetizer plates that was in front of us, they would bring the main entree and wait for us to move the finished dishes to the side. All other steakhouses remove those dishes before bringing the next plate to the table. You can go to the Mastro's Steakhouse, pay the same amount you would at Davio's but receive much better service and quality of food.
Great appetizers, main dishes good, great service. Pasta dishes were not as good for the price. Probably would not return based on value f($250 for 2 of us) for overall food taste.
Horrible ambiance in the patio for Valentine’s Day. To management: if you’re going to open up patio seating for A special day like Valentines Day - please put some effort into it. Just sticking people in a dark patio with food court like ambiance is way below expectations.
