   This is, by far, the best restaurant in the area. Seats are limited so reservations are recommended. The service, ambience and food are all outstanding. They always bring you complimentary small tastes of an appetizer, raspberry sorbet to clean your pallet and a sample after dinner treat to end your evening. Between the four of us, we got the beet salad, mussels, rack of lamb, Chilean sea bass and ribeye. Everyone one around the table raved about their food and the presentation. While we were not there for a romantic evening out, this would be the perfect spot for such on occasion. The staff never let our drinks go empty and checked in on us frequently to assure that everything was to our satisfaction. This was our second time coming to David’s and will remain on our perpetual places to eat when we are in the area.

   We are visiting Amelia Island and David’s was recommended to us for my wife’s birthday. There are many restaurants, but not often do you find one that all of the pieces that make that restaurant work are outstanding. Julie and Gavin our team of servers were excellent. The food was some of the best we have had in awhile. We will highly recommended and be back. Thank you and keep up the great work.

   The service was warm and professional. The appetizers included octopus and carpaccio and were spot on. The red snapper entrees were excellent. David's has an excellent wine list if you are so inclined. We cannot wait for our next visit!

   Food was subpar. NY strip was chewing and non flavorful. Substitutes the mash potatoes for spinach. They ended up dropping the asparagus and charging 5.00 for the change. . Chilean sea bass was dry. Service was good. First time dining and went there based on the reviews

    Delicious cocktails with very fresh ingredients; beautifully presented with creative garnishes. Every course was amazing, as always. French onion soup; best ever. Steaks on point; perfectly cooked. Mango/kiwi sorbet intermezzo should be on the menu; perfectly balanced. Deserts were amazing and beautifully presented; excellent selection. Fantastic upscale dining as expected; David’s consistently provides a wonderful dining experience.

    I think it must have been an off night at Davids. First, too many different servers coming to the table. Would have appreciated the main server and maybe one other. Second, the appetizer plates sat in front of us for a time, and then an assistant server appeared with our entrees. She seemed unfazed and gestured that we should push aside the salad plates (large plates) so she could set down our sea bass. My brother suggested she go get a server to remove our plates. Delay there. Finally, the sea bass was properly cooked but not seasoned or novel in any way. Given the amuse bouches and the palate cleansers between courses, the dish needed some finesse -- a mound of whipped potatoes and asparagus was dull. Sorry to be so frank, but compared to The Ocean Club in the Plantation or the Salt at the Ritz, this was not a winning meal or experience.

    The drinks and the starter was the best. The ribeye was mediocre at best. Thin with lots of fat and connective tissue. I would put my personally grilled steak up against this one anytime. Mine would be $15, not $69! Staff was really good.

    What a wonderful dining experience. Wow! Wonder service from our outstanding waitress Tricia. And helpers for her were young very professional and nice, Richard was so very pleasant and also the girls. I got the rack of lamb for a first time ever, it was absolutely delicious and the David’s salad. My husband loved the shrimp bisque and the sea bass. Very comfortable seating love the interior and intimacy of the restaurant. Great job everyone! Traveled from Las Vegas and was very pleased. Thank you! Hope to be back!

    We had a good experience. We were readily accommodated when we asked to be moved to a booth instead of a table in the middle of the restaurant. The only complaint we have is that it is really cold in the restaurant.

    My husband and I went to David’s for our wedding anniversary. All the food was delicious. We had a seabass appetizer which was awesome and we both had filet mignon and my husband has lobster tail with his and it was all perfectly cooked and tasty. The only complaint we have is they’re old fashioned could use some work. It tasted like it had more bitters and simple syrup than whiskey and the flavor of it was not very good. We switched to some red wine and it was good. We also had the cheesecake for dessert and that was wonderful as well.

    Excellent dining experience. Very much enjoyed the thoughtful presentation of each course; appetizers set a brilliant note, followed by robust flavors in main course and desert. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Lounge seating was comfortable with ample table space. We left full with a pleasant memory and plan to return soon.

    Always a nice respite from the noisy local restaurants. The service if always stellar and the food consistently excellent. It looks like the menu has been pared down a bit since Covid, like many restaurants trying to manage with less staff. Otherwise, an excelent choice for a special evening out.

    Our experience at David's was so good. The wait staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!!! Service was top-notch and the value for what we got was superb.     David’s is an outstanding dining experience. The food, the service, the wine list, are all excellent. This is the best restaurant in Fernandina Beach. Steaks are good but so is the seafood. Our app was presented like something on Top Chef, and was delicious. You should go, you won’t be disappointed.

    A nice place, but not excellent. Our server made a point of noting that my wife was gluten free, only to show up with bread and an amuse buche that she couldn’t eat. She followed up by decanting our wine, and made the first pour, but never returned to refill our glasses. The food was good, prices ok, but the meh service was underwhelming.

    Worst plate of food I have ever had at that point. Given a table next to the very noisy bar when I had reservations for weeks in advance for my anniversary. The waiter never checked with us to see how are food was. The restaurant had a run down look, pungent odor, and poor parking. The steak was poor quality and raw the fish was processed and the shrimp was not local . We will not be back.

    It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! We celebrated my wife’s birthday that evening! Chef David always provides a fantastic vegan meal made from scratch and delivered with superb presentation! Service was amazing and in point, as well!
