From the owner of David's (Portland, ME), 388 is a comfortable and casual neighborhood nook where diners can enjoy a range of bold flavors. Both restaurants share the signature of Chef/Owner David Turin, and David's 388 is built "by the Chef, for the Chef." Every week, David's 388 thrills the palette with new dishes that have both creative and traditional influences spanning the width of the globe. The restaurant seats 42 including seating at a Chef’s counter overlooking the kitchen.

    We regularly dine at David’s 388 and have never been disappointed. The food and service are always excellent, with the added benefit of being reasonably priced.

    The food and service was fantastic! Jack, our server was great! Only issues, the front door sticks ( I know, first world problem and it was one of the first hit humid days). A tiny bit loud, but it’s a small place.

    Originally placed at a table near door, requested moving and they accommodated. Server was great, knowledgeable about menu, and friendly. Meal portion was good and dinner was delicious. We had the haddock and the filet. This place is always our go to.

    This was our first time there. Fantastic! Chad, our server was great! Very knowledgeable and explained everything. Wife got the seafood pappardelle (sp?) and I got the evening special, Ravatappi &Ragu. Both dishes were extraordinary. The potato croquettes appetizer was amazing. We shared a chocolate tartar dessert with a bourbon sauce that was out of this world!! It’s a small place so reservations are highly recommended. When we ate there, all the tables were filled. You can’t go wrong with David’s 388.

    We sat at the counter and watched the chef work her magic! Have NEVER had a bad experience here. Food is always incredible and love the atmosphere! We will be back!
