We have eaten at Davenport’s before, so we knew it would be good. The food is excellent, and the menu nicely varied. Compared to other restaurants where we have recently dined, we particularly appreciated the ambiance. So many places have an ear splitting din. At Davenport’s, as we enjoyed the food we also enjoyed the ability to converse comfortably! Not a small matter! Also: Nice wine list.

We have always enjoyed coming and celebrating here as a family. I have been here at least twenty times, if not more. This time I found the wait staff friendly but, not as great as usual. They brought out a first course for only one diner without taking the rest of the orders. The Lobster Bites are usually great but, this time overcooked and chewy. The rest of out food was good. What happed to the fantastic breads and honey butter?

This was horrible service. The oysters smelled very old. It was difficult to get the server. We felt ignored majority of the time. Gave this place a second chance after the first time being as bad, but this second visit was worse.

My wife and I really like your baby back ribs. however she thought they we a bit spicy but i like spicy. her fries were a bit on the soft side. i love the burrata and beet salad. I would suggest adding some peach or pear balsamic vinegar to the coleslaw. apple cider vinegar at least. it will give it a zest and pair it better with the ribs. the slaw was insipid. Thanks.

The Jewel of Encino, Davenport’s gets it right: great food and ambiance in a family-run business that cares about its clientele. Don’t be surprised if the dapper Mr. Davenport stops by your table to make sure you’re happy. Old-school in the best sense of the term.

Great service. The outside patio is lovely., lots of shade & the string lights for night time brings a nice touch. They have heat lamps when it gets chilly. The food is wonderful. A very enjoyable evening

Everything was great but Prime rib cane like warm but they said this is how it's served. Ally with a Y was a great waitress. The manager was very nice, she asked about what we are celebrating and took care of us wife really loves this place.

I am so sorry to say - Davenports was our neighborhood favorite - however, it has gone downhill in my opinion. The lobster bites were smothered in cheese rendering the lobster undiscernible. I ordered a seafood salad entree size with lobster and shrimp. The lobster had been chopped up into a white pulp, the shrimp sliced in half and placed on top of the salad, some kind of white egg - making these ingredients indistinguishable from each other. This salad was not worth the high cost. I did not even finish it. The bread basket that is served at the start of the meal was stingy offering a few small rolls. The butter that was served with it was actually very good - perhaps the best thing about the meal. It was two of our birthdays and so, we were given ice cream as birthday extras - thank you!!!!! I don't know if we will be going back.

Jenny was great and gave good suggestions. Lobster bites delicious and their fresh baked pretzel bread is always a hit! Had the prime ribeye. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly to temp requested. Apps to entree were delicious!

It was our 55th Year anniversary couldn’t have enjoyed it more then ever!! The employees and Management made us feel so welcomed!! Sal was our server he took great care of us! He was very knowledgeable on everything my husband and I just want to thank him and everyone at Davenports for a wonderful experience!! I will just say food was on point and very tasty!! If you haven’t been there you need to go!!

We loved eating at Davenport's last night! The miso salmon, and the steak were incredible. I loved the grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. We celebrated our friend's 80th Birthday and it was the best Birthday. The ambiance, the food, and the wait staff were incredible. Thank you for making the best dinner ever!
